The last time we beat utd in the league was during rodgers reign i think? Its been that long so we’re definitely due a win against them.

I think we’re due it and not just because it’s been a while. We’re a harder side to beat now with no more reliance on our attack to score 4 just so we can afford to concede 2 or 3 and still win. I think it’ll be harder for Jose to employ the usual anti-football tactics, if we’re not again reliant on the high pressing. We let teams play themselves into trouble a bit more now. I think it’s given us problems against city, Chelsea and Spurs where we were on the ropes a bit but Utd can’t play like those teams.

Who knows, we may still lose/draw but I definitely fancy our chances this time.

    Utd always turn up
    Againest us

I should be more confident as they are struggling at the back but I just can’t see us winning

Couldn’t agree more Sean. That miserable wanker Mourinho will give his soul to try and stop us taking three points. I’d love to see us really tank the scummy bar stewards. You can be sure he will have a plan and it will be as ugly as sin.

I got worried when Lallana came on, I wondered what Klopp was doing but showed me why he is Liverpool manager as Lallana got an assist with an excellent pass to Salah.

mwake – Not so much an ankle breaker but that could have ruptured his achillies.

mwake, I thought Lallana did really well when he came on. Very busy, linked well and like you said got the assist with that great thru ball to Mo.

I agree about Lallana looking good when he came on. Recently, our midfield has got a bit predictable in the way it is playing – don’t get me wrong – fully effective, but just a tad monotonous to watch when we go through the probe/recycle routine. However, I thought Lallana was a breath of fresh air on Saturday as he just offered something a bit different. I know that Davinci describes it as ‘just twirling round in circles’; but I’d prefer to call it having the ability and balance to turn either way and just generally give the defenders something more to think about.

Lallana will be a good help to us this season provided he just stays injury free. He’s been plagued with injury of late and has always need longer than others to get back to his peak.

Lallana is turning into the “Sturridge of the midfield” with his cameo appearances lol. If we continue the trend, who is the Sturridge of the defense? Lovren or Moreno?
