Malacia looked far more proactive and on the front foot than Shaw ever has during all the pre season games I watched, albeit he is is still a bit raw and learning his trade. As for Garner, he is far too lightweight to anchor the midfield, and like I have said before he wouldn’t even be an upgrade on Fred I’m afraid to say.
What happens in the next 3 weeks of the transfer window will ultimately define this season, and quite possibly ETH’s entire future because there is absolutely fuck all in the squad to significantly improve the shower of shivering shit that stunk it out big time today, simple as that.

Hard to making wonders with the usual suspects. There are some combos who should be sorted. First its the CB combo of Maguire and Martinez. Brighton did find our weak spots on the ground behind our CB. Second and the worst combo is Mcfred no doubt. They can not play together and the real question is why MCT deserves to put on the red shirt at all. Third combo is Eriksen and Bruno,on paper a good creative duo but when the backup cmf is absent at the club Bruno must step aside,Eriksen is the superior playmaker.Forth combo is the flanks covering by Gashy and Sancho. Dont know what to say but that was abysmal. Whilst i know there is potential in Sancho there is none in Gashy. And while i´m at the flanks…fullbacks,oh dear. Shaw the lazy fat lard never learn and Dalot cant defend properly. ETH must learn by his first PL game that we need a RB,a CMF,a winger and a striker. If not we will end up in the lower half of the table. Other than that we are ready to go.

Didn’t watch the game but can easily tell that we need 5 more players in the team:

    A new RB
2 new CMs (DM and box to box)
    A new RW (Antony)
    A new FW

Just watched Ten Hag’s post match presser and he is saying that they never followed the game plan and lacked belief. The exact same things Ralf was saying constantly. Bottom line is we are skint and can’t make the wholesale changes needed. We’ll have to get used to mid table mediocrity it seems.

Today was as sobering an opening day of the season in living memory for me, there is absolutely no hope of significant improvement for a very long time to come given the absolute plethora of weak, useless pansies that are still going to be hanging around OT like a bad smell for at least another year, probably longer.
Take that absolute fucking fraud Gashford as the ‘perfect’ example of what is so badly wrong with the entire culture at this club, it is now 15 long months since the cunt scored a PL goal in a game in which he started. How in fucks name is that even being tolerated?, and that’s before even mentioning that the half hearted bluffing cunt hasn’t even bothered working up a sweat in all that time either. We are basically paying the fucktard 200k per week to make fish finger butties for a bunch of kids.

No fucking wonder losing in a disgraceful fashion has become synonymous with this group of weak minded pussies, it’s the only thing that they are actually ‘good’ at!

It’s 100% going to get worse mate. Could see us with zero or one point after 3 games and the roof will be falling in. Its a worry that Ten Hag decided to approach the window how he has. The alarm bells went off when he started saying how good the players were in his first presser. I just don’t see a way back anymore. It’s toxic top to bottom.

Keane and Neville have been saying it for a year that this frankenstein united creation are the easiest team to play against in the league.

Where other teams have players who will contribute as little offensively as Rashford, Sancho and Bruno, the equivalent players in those teams will work their absolute socks off defensively.

Net net, we have players who are contributing sweet fuck all offensively and defensively.

Luke Shaw ambling through another game – refusing to bust a gut even once. Andy Robertson busts a gut for 90 minutes for Pool. Malacia is raw and green but he showed more desire and aggression in 5 minutes today than Luke Shaw has since crowds came back post covid to scare him….18 months ago

Moral, You know it wasn’t till the 33rd minute till Luke Shaw ventured deep into the oppositions half?

Mufc, didn’t know it but not one bit surprised by it. One of many frauds at the club – but surely he and players like Rashford can’t end up conning ETH for an entire season? It will be the rock on which he perishes.

As soon as Southgate realised either of Foden and Saka had more ability, workrate and output than Rashford AND Sancho combined, he dispensed with them for England.

Ww can only pray that ETH will weed out the mediocrity over the next 2 years….

Haaland looked phenomenal. 2 goals. who was it on here who said we shouldn’t have signed him because of his agent? there were definitely a fair few.

Still don’t really know what to say about that game yesterday, apart from it was utter shite! Will it force the club to finally act and bring in 3/4 more players this month? Will it finally spell the end for McFred now that ETH has seen what type of performances they can serve up? Is Dalot actually going to play every game this season as our No. 1 right back?
    Fuckin hell.

Happy – what about Shaw, Maguire, Rashford and the fucking rest mate? Go on, tell me who you’d keep. It’s no fucking wonder Ronaldo wants out.

You can’t sell them all in 1 window. That’s why i always thought next summer is more important for ETH, he’ll have had a full season to see exactly what type of players he’s got. On another day Rashford scores 2 and Bruno doesn’t spaz it over from 6 yards like a fucking amateur though.
It was just laughable and predictable. I don’t think ETH was blameless either. Shaw missed the last 2 friendlies, Malacia looks much sharper than him at the moment that was weak call playing Shaw. And he really through Martinez in at the deep end didn’t he? Why not have him instead of Fred in the middle with Varane and Maguire behind him, McFred were awful! And i’ve not idea what he was doing with Eriksen as a false 9.
Potter totally outclassed him. Embarrassing really. Ah well, onto Brentford!

Would you Declan Rice and N’didi in the middle over Fred and Scott?

    #2121022

@happyhurling – But ETH is paid the big bucks to sort the quad out NOW and it’s clear to anyone who’s reviewd even a fraction of United’s games over the last 18 months that Shaw, Rashford, Maguire, etc. are not an answer and should be nowehere near first team players (I’d argue that they shouldn’t even be squad players at this stage).

We can’t afford to wait until next year to sort out the first team: the simple truth is that if we don’t get 2 new CMs, a RW and a striker in this window, we won’t make Top Four.

@happy – Are you finally wising the fuck up at long last after two decades of getting every single big call you ever make completely wrong?
For example, only recently you described that useless bag of shite McTominay as an “asset”. Sweet fucking Jesus, the guy is the exact polar opposite of that, and is nothing more than an embarrassing, pathetic liability.

You are still living on fantasy island with regards to Gashy, Bruno, Slabhead and a few others who are plainly fucking hopeless and who will inevitably prove you wrong in the end, so it’s high time for you to get real ans admit defeat with regards these fucking wasters as well, simple as that.

They can’t all be shite Blacky. As you’ve said yourself ETH needs time to get his way of playing across on the pitch. Time like Klopp had. It’s 1 game – admittedly a fucking awful game – but it’s 1 game against a very well coached Brighton team.

Anyway looks like we’ve got Arnautovic and Rabiot coming in… (WTAF?!)
    🙁
