I’ve always thought we’re the 3rd best team in the league this season. The table hasn’t quite been able to reflect that yet, but i think it will come the final day.
Leicester went on a crazy run at the beginning of the season when Vardy and Maddison were on fire. They picked up 38 points from the first 16 games and then they just lost it (they’ve picked up 17 points from their last 16 games). No one has been consistent enough to catch them, until now.
Vardy looks spent and their defence seems to really be missing the presence of Maguire!
Similarly with Chelsea, they were shite to begin with languishing near the bottom of the league and then Abraham and Mount hit a purple patch and they won something like 7 games on the bounce, which propelled them to 4th. Since then they’ve had really patchy form and, again, no one has been consistent enough to catch them – until now.
Although they have started well after the restart their fluke result against City was cancelled out last night and i think they’re a bit of a shambles at the back.

We have had an absolutely shite season in parts, with awful performances and results. At one point it looked like Ole was a couple of defeats away from losing his job. The signing of Bruno has lifted the team but there is still a huge improvement needed on the consistency – 15 games unbeaten aside. Losses to West Ham and Bournemouth with a draw at OT against Villa were absolutely unacceptable results. We’d be closer to City now if we hadn’t dropped such ridiculous points.

But I have a feeling we will be unbeaten for the rest of the season and finish 3rd…

I actually think Leicester derence has looked alright since Magure left. I think it’s more a case of teams finally learning not to give Maddison space to play and not to take such a high like for Vardy to run into. In general though, they don’t really have a very big squad and I think accumulation is affecting them

Yep Homer. I remember the season after they won the league. Rather then pushing up which allowed teams to play the quick long for Vardy to run into. Teams sat deeper and it kind of nullified Vardy. Plus they sold Kante but teams sitting deep did affect Leicester.
