It’s happened, Bilic has been sacked. Barring a miracle of some sorts it’s likely to be even more downhill than it was before!

Ironic perhaps that this decision was taken prior to last night’s rearguard action but the second half surrender against Palace followed by the tactical mess against Newcastle (seven players on the half way line at kick of and all taken out of the game by one downfield punt followed by a complete change of formation at half time having made the wrong choices to start) sealed Bilic’s departure. Disappointing because he is a really decent guy who seems to carry the support of the players but in no way surprising.

Having endured Pulis for the best part of three years it seems we are now about to suffer the equally negative ministrations of Alladyce. How blessed we are. Fortunately perhaps not for long because no one can keep this team from relegation as there is simply not enough quality to survive and seemingly no money for replacements?

Slaven will find himself another role when he wants to and I wish him well.

I think it’s a really bad decision, but longer term, who knows? I think we are now starting to develop into this league defensively. Returning to a back 4 removed all that confusuion we had with Ivanovic in there. Ajayi was awesome last night with O’Shea not far behind. Johnstone has also grown in this league and of course, Gallagher is becoming a top player. So the spine is there, but without one or two Premiership level strikers, our goal threat is very limited. Grant looks very average, Austin is a goalscorer, but too slow to be left isolated and the rest (Diangana, Robinson, Robson-Kanu, Pereira) clearly don’t have enough goals in them. We deserved a point last night and it was enjoyable seeing the City forwards so frustrated by the speed and speed of thought of Ajayi. Of course if he keeps playing like that, he’ll be snapped up. New manager? Sounds like it will be Allardyce. Blimey, I’m probably not as negative about that prospect as many other fans, but I’m definitely not too happy about it either. If it is him, let’s hope it is just for a short term bit of fire fighting

This is a sad day for ALBION sacking SB is a big mistake by the board. If anybody should be sacked it is our poor owner Mr.Lai and the rest of the board. If they have backed SB in the window with quality players and not quantity players we would have been far better on the table. With this team what did the board really expect??????I must say i am fucking angry today, cause this will lead to more misery at my beloved club.I hope we can get Lai out and bring in a new owner who cares about the club and will backed the manager.Who will replace SB?Well our board have done some mistake and i am sure they will bring in another one like Sam Allerdyce or even Hughes. Its enough for today i am pissed……….norway baggie

I have to say I’m disappointed we didn’t bring Tony back but tbh big Sam is the nest best thing thus team has a chance now of survival it won’t be easy though, we can expect never die attitude, fitness levels through the roof, tough exciting signings and at last free flowing football again. This is a good day

I think the board have administered a double whammy on this site. Not only have they appointed Alladyce, they have somehow managed to reincarnate Ciaran. It’s like a double return to the bad old days.
