Reading some crazy stuff recently lads. Everyone needs to relax a bit. Some of our fans are already declaring us pl
Winners.I just won’t believe anything until it’s mathematically impossible to be caught.
We have been burned so do so many times as fans over the years. People were calling us winners with a 7 point lead last season.
Jan/feb is usually when we have our blip. I remember in Jurgens 1st full season, we fell apart in jan/feb. Last season we dropped 9 points in jan/feb. We just need to get through these next block of games and see were we are.
We are absolutely flying. We are getting better defensively and we are scoring goals. Players are stealing up bigtine. I think we are going to get better. I’ve never been as positive in my life as a Liverpool fan.
The progress is staggering and I really believe the cl win in June and given this side so much more extra belief.
What a great Christmas for us. It couldn’t have gone any better really.what a position to be in. It’s really unreal but I’ll stay calm and I won’t go overboard yet. Just really enjoying watching us these days. Hopefully more special times are only around the corner
January 4, 2020 at 7:38 pm #1813463Fully agree.
January 4, 2020 at 11:51 pm #1813485I’m one of the fans who after watching the team develop the last few years and looking at the level we’re playing at, and the level of our rivals, I believe we will win the league.
I won’t be celebrating or declaring us winners until it’s a mathematical certainty. But I don’t see the harm in believing we’ll win it.
January 5, 2020 at 7:57 am #1813493I actually believe Liverpool fans on the whole have been remarkably restrained this season regarding the league considering the first half of the season we’ve had and the poor one others have.
The fans generally have been pretty calm as have the players.January 5, 2020 at 10:07 am #1813512Jc, absolutely no harm in believing we will win it mate. I really think we can win it aseell but I’ve seen/heard some silly comments about us being champions already
I’m just cautious as usual. The press etc are banging on about all these records etc when it will count for fuck all of we feck this up.
I don’t believe we will. This team is mentally strong but it’s never over till it’s over
January 5, 2020 at 10:36 am #1813518For me it will always be one game at a time, because anything can happen in football.
Only thing to focus on now is beating Spurs next week.
You’ll only find me celebrating this season IF we get to a point where we realistically cannot be caught
January 5, 2020 at 11:33 am #1813525Honestly I’m enjoying this run too much to be thinking about the title just yet… if we can knock the blues out of the cup then this team is going to be history making though.
January 5, 2020 at 11:43 am #1813528These next two months are huge. Some tough games but we are capable of beating all these teams
It’s just tvis period is usually when we have a blip
Songman I look at the games in blocks mate. Next block for me is the next five
Let’s see were we are after that
January 5, 2020 at 12:38 pm #1813544While Klopp may plan even months in ahead, from a results perspective, I believe it is best to just focus on winning the next game and nothing else, and see where it leads you
January 5, 2020 at 2:49 pm #1813595I think a lot of the declaring us champions elect is coming from our rivals, all the sweeter for them to mock any fall away in form.
Like you say Sean, it’s not done til it’s done, and I’m very mindful to recall the run City managed to put together last season to keep our hands off the cup! It was incredible really the way both teams kept going.
I do take comfort though in the fact that we haven’t looked to be at our best for large parts of certain games this season but still fashioned a way to secure the 3 points. You have to imagine that if we start to play a little better then we could wrap up the league early enough to go after CL no.7.
I don’t think there will be any such thoughts of complacency among this group of players. But any significant injury to our key players could make for a far more nervy run in. One game at a time is right, but we may never get a better chance to cement ourselves at the top again with City, Chelsea and Utd all going through a wobble and/or a rebuild.January 5, 2020 at 3:50 pm #1813614Sean nobodys panicking or too excited. Everybodys calm. 😎
January 6, 2020 at 3:35 pm #1813938I have been looking at the current block of 5, we’re through Wolves at home and Sheffield utd. Now Spurs, Man Utd and Wolves away.
That’s a pretty tough block but we’re 2 wins through so far.
January 7, 2020 at 7:55 am #1814021The block for me started at palace and ended with sheff utd mak. That’s how I judge it
Now it starts again with the next block.
My point really is, I see some people trying to predict how many wins we need etc. There’s still so much of the season left
I even heard Steven watnock say if we wrap it up early klopp will play the kids. That’s just silly talk
We haven’t won the league in 30 years. It’s not going to be as easy as some predict. There are loads of points available
I’m looking at getting through the next two months with still a good lead as these next two months are when we usually have a blip.
