December 14, 2015 at 11:29 am #738323Wow! Pleased with that from a neutral point of view – a couple of like-for-like teams drawn in terms of footballing style and stature in spending power.
Looking forward to Arsenal’s battle with Barca and PSG and Chelsea.
Now the fun begins!

Glad to get Barcelona. You need to beat two of Barcelona, Real Madrid or Bayern to win the CL. And if we cant beat Barcelona in the R16, then we couldn’t beat them in the quarter finals or semi finals.
Hopefully City get past Kiev and prioritize their CL campaign at the expense of the league.
December 14, 2015 at 11:35 am #738362You’re gonna need Adams and Viera to stop Neymar, Messi and Suarez mate; they’ll be lethal 😀 🙂
December 14, 2015 at 11:42 am #738386Hey Syd.Dani Alves can seen Bellarin first hand. The guy
you proclaimed as the the new Dani Alves /Cafu after less than 30
games 🙂How’s Serge Gnabry doing in the West Brom U21 ?
Future German international you proclaimed.December 14, 2015 at 11:52 am #738443

Bellerin is going to be the undisputed best right back in years to come.
As for Gnabry, Pulis reluctance to use him is his problem, rather than Gnabry being the problem. Similar to how Moyes said ‘the jury is still out’ on Ozil as recently as yesterday. These old school British managers will never get beyond their current level if they continue to hold a bias against players with finesse and skill, preferring to stick with old fashioned and limited players ability wise. You think Arsenal and Wenger will get rid of Gnabry because Pulis doesnt rate him?? Please.
December 14, 2015 at 11:59 am #738470Even though it was impossible I was still convinced we’d get Barca until I saw them lined up next to Arsenal. Hope you stick it to ’em goons.
For Chelsea to get PSG for a 3rd year is terrible luck especially so early in the competition but it was gonna happen to one of the English teams so I’m glad at least that it’s not City. Good luck to Chelsea, hope you hit some real form in time for those games. On that note, no excuses from City now. Barcelona in the 1st knockout round has been a *reasonable* excuse the last few years and we don’t have that now. We must get to the quarters. Kiev though will not be pushovers and they have the experience of playing at this level and reaching the Semis a few times (I think?) so we must show what we’re about and really take the game to them.
Hearing that the away leg in Ukraine will be played behind closed doors for the same reason as the CSKA moscow game last year…. but can’t decide if twitter is trolling or not, can anyone confirm?
December 14, 2015 at 12:02 pm #738476Syd! Until like Sanchez, De Bruyne, Mahrez and Hazard this year, Ozil has managed to weigh in with 50+% of fantasy league managers picking him as their captain for a gameweek I would say the jury is still out.
December 14, 2015 at 12:06 pm #738494I actually think all the pot A teams will go through only doubt is the PSG-Chelsea tie.
December 14, 2015 at 12:09 pm #738512dlarge-how were you convinced you get Barca, when you knew teams winning their groups cannot play each-other?

That’s a brave statement to make after 30 games don’t you think ?
I bet you said the same thing about Wilshire ?Syd.Bottom line.(Given your track record of posting tosh.
Under all your reincarnations on teamtalk down the years)
Who knows more about football Moyes & Pulis or you ?
You’ll always be the class clown through my eyes. But your
entitled to your opinion I guessDecember 14, 2015 at 12:20 pm #738560Great draw for City , a tough draw for Chelsea and a very tough draw for Arsenal.
City have always been the most likely team to do the best of the PL clubs this season and once you get I to the Qtr Finals and if you get a bit of lucky you just never know.
Be surprised if Arsenal can navigate their way past Barca and Barca was definitely the toughest draw Arsenal could have got, similarly Chelsea drawing PSG was aboutthe toughest draw Chelsea could have got.
If the Chelsea v PSG tie was to be played now I don’t think Chelsea could progress but by February/March Chelsea could be in a better place and the squad might have been strgthened too.
Good luck to all of the PL clubs though in progressing into the Qtr Finals of the CL we desperately need the co efficient points to maintain our 4th CL Place.
