There’s absolutely no reason why we should not win this game. The book keepers make us odds on favourite, more than 3x more likely to win. We’re favourites for the first time in a CL final. We lost last year because of a totally incompetent goalie who made basic errors for 2 goals and should not have played (Migs would have saved both) and the assault on and loss of Salah, and non sending off of Ramos. We have the best manager in world club football, much better players in defence and attack, Kane will not be match fit, etc. Its not a 50/50 game and we should win unless something goes seriously wrong (eg injuries, wonder goals, sending off, etc). I expect a win in normal time.

And if we fail to win it, it’ll be FSG’s fault.

Liverpool strong favourites which is understandable. I’d be pretty confident if you were my team. Good luck lads.

I agree with 67 Liverpool are rightful favourites.

Be surprised if Liverpool didn’t win this one but Spurs are a good team and on their day can beat any team but if things flow on the night in Liverpool’s favour in terms of decisions and there are no worldie like last season they will lift the trophy on June 1st.

    Message to Liverpool FC

WIN you feckers, WIN and WIN well, humilate the Spuds a healthy 6-0 (like the FA cup final) and finish with the trophy you deserve…while also having the effect of spanking the spuds which is completely incidental to my post and has no bearing what so ever

failure to do this or at least win will result in me calling you Loserpool all next season 😉

quite honestly I can’t remember a recent final where we were not the underdogs, I can’t wait for the game, we should win this game. We got a much better team with way greater balance and such hungry players. 3-1 if my prediction…

I think both teams will bring it but if one team is to crack under the pressure it will be spurs imo. I think you will win, but lady luck likes to attend champs league finals so we will see.

all the best lads, the only reason I prefer you over spurs is that I think it would be very harsh on klopp and your players to finish empty handed after such an outstanding season, I think its only this year and last year that 97 points would fail to win the title, given that and the heartache of the final last year, to end up winning the champs league this year would be a fitting achievement and well deserved for klopp.

Liverpool Vs Chelsea super cup next season, fingers crossed.

I’m concerned Klopp might go with Winji Hendo and Milner on sat

Fabhino has to start with Winji and Henderson

He’s seemed reluctant to move Hendo away from his natural position now he’s back finding his stride there plus Fabinho as a natural holding midfielder has been great there.

I think he’ll defo want Milner on at some point for his experience. Probably first sub bar injury.

So how is everyone feeling now?

If we play like we can, we will win

    No silly cards or mistakes

Team picks itself. 12 subs so bench be strong

The pain from last year has to spurn us on

    Quiet relaxed really.
If we perform anywhere near where we can then we should be good.
By no means will it be easy.
The players seem quite relaxed too. TAW did an interview with Hendo and Ox and both seemed very relaxed, joking around etc.

Spurs have a few selection problems and a few of their fans are worried.
I think Robbo and Mane could gave a field day down our left.
Rose has stated in the past how hard a game Salah gives him.

Gonna be in the high 20s in Madrid on Saturday, even that evening, so I imagine the training camp in Spain will have helped that.

Feeling more tense about other things than the actual game.

Will Bobby be fit (not officially heard he’s 100%)

Will the guys be ‘too relaxed?

Hoping our midfield is the right one picked. It wasn’t the right one in last year’s Final.

There’s three more days for Virgil to get injured in training!

If Bobby doesn’t make the starting XI will Origi slot in or will Mo go up top with Shaq in his spot? Like Ginger said I think Mo’s gonna relish going up against Rose (and likewise Mane against Trippier) so I would think Origi will come in if Bobby is a doubt.

Sticking to my 2-0 to us Final prediction!

I’m feeling reasonably tense on 2 counts. 1.) Whether our tickets will turn up – had to give a delivery address in Madrid so won’t actually know whether I’ll be watching in the stadium or in a bar in Madrid until virtually the last minute. Really hate these secondary ticketing agencies, but what can you do when there’s no other options? 2.) Trying to be confident about the result, but can’t push myself beyond 50::50. The memories of being at the Athens and Kiev finals are still too recent and so I fluctuate between the ‘third time lucky’ and the ‘we’re doomed in finals’ mindset. At least I’ve witnessed one success – way back at Wembley in 1978. I found my ticket for that this week and it was £5 – which was down the sides so probably not even the cheapest. How times change!

Outta interest Rob, what midfield do you think shoulda played in last years final?
If memory serves we had several midfield injuries/players not up to speed at that time like Can and Lallana.

Im feeling very nervous about the final. For some reason I just got a bad feeling that spurs will win this. We’ll do most of the pressing and the attacking but spurs will nick.one. A kane header frm a corner or something.

Ginger, yes, we did have limited options and absolutely don’t blame Klopp. Me, personally, would’ve gone 4231 with Wijnaldum and Henderson as the double 6, Bobby as the 10, Mane and Lallana out wide and Mo up top but…hindsight etc. It’s history now; onto Redemption Day!

Hopefully bingo because if we lose, it’s an absolute disaster mate.

It’s a massive massive set back and the vultures will be queuing up
