Try reading again with the blinkers off.
May 23, 2022 at 9:36 pm #2098423I have Mak (sat in corner).
Just made myself a homemade badge with ‘pessimist’ on because I predicted a few draws based on what I saw/thought may happen. Oh, well.
May 23, 2022 at 9:47 pm #2098426Good to see you acknowledge it now.
Ya got there in the end.
May 23, 2022 at 9:55 pm #20984328-0 to us Saturday.
May 23, 2022 at 10:01 pm #2098434The master of civil conversation.
I bow to you.
May 23, 2022 at 10:42 pm #2098445Anytime Ginger, anytime.
May 23, 2022 at 11:27 pm #2098452Crazy my initial 3 word response at the start of all this took you to here.
I’ve found over the years that many people can’t handle others disagreeing with them on here.
Never had you down for one of them.May 24, 2022 at 1:41 am #2098455I’ve never had an issue with folks disagreeing, in fact lost count the number of times I’ve responded with a ‘fair enough’ ‘respect your opinion’ rebuttal. In your case tho accusing me of pessimism when all I’ve done is gone with my thoughts on what ‘could’ transpire and you have, in turn, ‘disagreed’ with my opinion and not agreed with my ‘non win’ predictions. What’s the damn difference? Don’t know if you know but it’s rare a team goes 60 odd games winning the lot so don’t think it’s unreasonable for me to ‘occasionally’ predict a draw or defeat based on the factors I presented. Maybe I need to ‘stagger my pessimism’ over 10 months?
Dog, tail, job, which clearly you’re enjoying so we move on.
You’d make a vicar swear.
Again, best to you.
May 24, 2022 at 3:23 am #2098456How dare you suggest that Liverpool might not win a few matches. You’re just so disagreeable, Rob!
You know, i think you once jokingly made a prediction and it came true, so I guess we’re actually going to beat Real 8-0. That is good news, I was worried over nothing.
Glad that we’re all in agreement now.May 24, 2022 at 4:24 am #2098460Ginger not dismissing benzema at all. Ive posted in another thread yesterday, im not as confident about this game as i was before. We’ve looked tired leggy, our defence has been sloppy, we conceded too many chances in the last few games. We dont have our usual sharpness. I think vinicius will have absolute joy on our right. But having said that, i still think we’ll win.
May 24, 2022 at 7:32 am #2098470“I’ve never had an issue with folks disagreeing,”
Going by this thread…you could fool me.
May 24, 2022 at 8:13 am #2098480I think the dissapointment of missing out on the league, and the fact that we still needed to play at peak right up to the end of the season, will give us an edge on a Madrid who didnt even have to worry about Barcelona this year.
In the Semi, it was more a case City losing, than Real winning. Yes madrid were good and can be dangerous in spells but City threw that game away….and then used that dissapointment to fuel an avalanche of goals in the league.
I do worry about our midfield in this one too Rob. But can’t see us start anything other than a 433….(just for a change🙂), dont really want to see Milner starting this game, and depends on which Keita turns up on the day.
Personally Would like to see us start the game with a 4231, stick Mane up front with Diaz, Firmino, Salah behind him. Henderson and ….whoever is fit and ready (Fab/Thiago/keita/Milner) in 2 deeper midfield roles.
5 subs in this game, so Klopp can probably risk one of Fab or Thiago if they can play.I firmly think we will outplay them and convincingly win the game. But to coin a cliche, we’ll have to outscore them because I think they will get at least one past us.
4-2 to the mighty reds!May 24, 2022 at 8:23 am #2098489“In the Semi, it was more a case City losing, than Real winning. Yes madrid were good and can be dangerous in spells but City threw that game away….and then used that dissapointment to fuel an avalanche of goals in the league.”
That’s a really good point Fulcrum.
Hopefully we can do the same.May 24, 2022 at 9:24 am #2098512Just my point of view.
Rob surely you’re no pessimist, you just prefer to be pleasantly surprised than disappointed, right ?May 24, 2022 at 1:13 pm #2098629Ginger, have some self-awareness will you?
“I’ve never had an issue with folks disagreeing,”
“Going by this thread…you could fool me.”
YOU took issue with him and his opinion. YOU are the one who couldn’t handle someone else having a different opinion to yours, not Rob.
FFS, can we talk about football and leave your fucking shit at home? Go beat your wife or whatever it is that you do, I’m sure she deserves it for marrying you anyway. Christ on a stick, Im so sick of your shit.
May 24, 2022 at 1:29 pm #2098642I disagreed with his opinion on a football matter. I’m allowed to disagree with him. I’m not obliged to agree with anyones opinion on football related matters.
Rob went straight to personal insults.
I did not return in kind. I continued talking about football.
He continued with personal insults.Interestingly you’ve went to personal insults too.
Like I said some people don’t like it when others disagree with them on here.
Some go to personal insults, some don’t.May 24, 2022 at 1:34 pm #2098645‘Best to you’
Personal insult?
May 24, 2022 at 1:46 pm #2098652I don’t consider that a personal insult.
I don’t know anyone who would. But was that all you said Rob?
Just that?!
Nothing else?!Come on now.
Just you know exactly what I’m talking about.May 24, 2022 at 1:51 pm #2098655‘dog chasing tail’ (still relevant today)
‘you’d make a vicar swear’Don’t consider those insults so what were the insults Ginger? List them. If I called you schoolyard names then I will apologize. I’m 51 not 15.
May 24, 2022 at 1:53 pm #2098657Thanks Fulcrum and others for your balanced, game debate notes. Good points all around.
