Only 3 pages of chat after our biggest win of the season? Interesting.
Whilst it was a mad game with so many mistakes last night i thought it was a really fun watch. Sancho is an enigma isn’t he? At times yesterday he did all the hard work amazingly well but then completely fucked it at the easy bit. But then in crucial moments he’s actually really cool and calm, lovely touch and assist for Martial’s goal and Bruno also should have scored from his lay off. Also had massive question marks over his pace but right at the end of the game he sprinted onto a through ball leaving that Hall guy for dead, lightening quick. Where is that pace when he needs it? It’s like he doesn’t have the confidence to sprint at full pelt or something. Weird. Such a talent.

Another goal for Casemiro as well, he’s probably been our player of the year with Rashford and Bruno. 30 goals for Rashford is a brilliant return, no one has scored that many goals for us since RVP 10 years ago! Madness.
Also saw that Rashford has overtaken Rooney for goals scored against the “Big 6”. That’s very impressive for a 25 year old winger.
Thought Lindelof was very good again and AWB.
We need a clear out but i don’t think we can do it all in this summer window. So we need a tiered approach and i think the likes of Lindelof and AWB should stay so we can invest in other parts of the team. Then next summer we can complete the clear out with the final flush of ex manager players etc.

Exciting times ahead, let’s hope the take over happens ASAP now and we can get ETH’s summer targets over the line early.

There’s a lot of deadwood happy but I’d be happy enough to keep both Lindelof and AWB as other areas are more pressing at the moment. We do need a CB but that’s with Jones, Tuanzebe and hopefully Maguire leaving too. It would drop Lindelof to 4th choice so perhaps he won’t want to stay but if he’s willing I’d keep him. Are there any young CB’s coming through, I know there was noise when we got Willy Kambwala in a few years back but how’s he actually doing? Is he going to make the grade?

Yes, it was an enjoyable watch happy, but waaay to open for Ten Hag I suspect. And against a Chelsea side bulging with talent and potential but devoid of any confidence or cohesion. They need a high quality striker more than we do.
So, top four done in the end but yet another clear out required. We just can’t keep hanging on to players who aren’t good enough on the premise that we need squad players. If they’re shite, get rid. More importantly, who will we bring in? Youth, physicality, pace and technique? Proven experience? Or a bit of both? Whichever it is, it’s crucial we get it right so bring on the takeover ffs.

Great win and CL is massive, huge surprise following our awful start to the season. Need to build, but Ten Hag looks like he knows what he is doing and has a gameplan on how to get there. Well done to him. Fantastic first season for him.

I have full faith in ETH I like what he has done so far, decisions he has made and the progress we are making. Its great to see Jones go so thats the last of Fergies and we have so much more to go too.
I would just like to see us have more pace and strength, we are quite slow still and not the best at holding the ball up at the top but with new additions that should change
Interesting for me too that we seemed to improve going forward without Antony we just looked more fluid

Simonas – Agree we seemed a little slow in the transition yesterday, not sure if its lack of pace/power or fatigue. But we need 3 or 4 big players this summer to come into the first 11. Imagine someone with the impact and control of games as Casemiro coming into midfield with him! And a striker who actually scores goals.
Yesterday we had an Xg of 5.6 which is the most in any game this season.
A striker is soooo important this summer…
