I know I’m probably Rashford’s biggest critic and I make no apologies for that, but fuck me it doesn’t matter whether you are wearing blinkers or not you can still clearly see that only scoring 7 PL goals in the last calendar year are the numbers that only a 3rd or 4th rate player would be putting up. He’s also currently on yet another one of his many non scoring runs when he goes several weeks or even months without scoring a goal, his last PL goal was way back in early September against Arsenal. It’s just totally unacceptable to keep ignoring these facts with our heads in the sand if we are to be anywhere near successful under ETH in the future, simple as that.
October 23, 2022 at 9:43 am #2146093October 23, 2022 at 10:12 am #2146110Bit of a joke how easily ex Utd players now criticise Ten Hag when they said fuck all about Ole for years. In the last week Evra, Ferdinand, Scholes, Keane and Neville have all had a pop at him in some way. Yet Ole blew fucking crazy amounts and played shit football, and it was never him it was the board and players. Fucking hypocrites
October 23, 2022 at 10:25 am #2146117I think ETH has had a good week. Handled the Ronaldo saga well and the ball retentiin and passing against Spurs and Chelsea was a huge improvement on the dogshit served up in recent years.
Its clear tho that more reinforcements are needed and especially up top. Anthony was better these last 2 games – there are kinks in his game but I think he has the desire, guts and mental fortitude to keep improving. Rashford will never be a consistent goal scorer while Sancho does not have the desire or drive to be a top player.
Big worry now is Varane as aerially we will be extremely vulnerable in his absence.October 23, 2022 at 10:28 am #2146118Keano was talking utter bollocks last night, never had him down as a Ronaldo fanboy, but that’s how he came across. We have to put an end to this absolute farcical circus surrounding Ronaldo now, it’s completely overshadowing what ETH is trying to do on the pitch, and the improvements he is slowly bringing about.
Fact is, Ronaldo is just acting like an ageing diva who refuses to accept that his time as the leading man is well and truly over, it’s pretty pathetic stuff from him and his bunch of sycophantic fucktards, simple as that.October 23, 2022 at 10:33 am #2146119Is Keane talking with slight bitterness due to his own departure?
October 23, 2022 at 10:41 am #2146122I thought the performance yesterday was again at a very high level and it appears we are finally getting to a place where the eleven on the field fully understand what is required in all phases of play. Big respect to Ten Hag, he’s the real deal in terms of tactical coaching.
We now have a foundation to build off which needs more quality and squad depth, especially at the sharp end of the pitch. If we had a striker who could make the same runs as Rashford but finish like Ronaldo we am would be in serious contention.
So, all in all I’m very happy with our progress under Ten Hag and am particularly impressed with how he has handled Ronaldo. Now we need a goalkeeper, two central defenders (one to cover for Varane’s injuries and one to replace Maguire), two midfielders (depth/competition for Casemiro and Eriksen), a winger to replace Sancho and a top class striker to replace Rashford/Martial/Ronaldo.
Oh and I can’t leave this post without mentioning how chuffed I am with having Casemiro in the team – finally a world beater in midfield!!
October 23, 2022 at 5:11 pm #2146266Agree Hatters. I can’t actually remember the last time we dominated a team like that down at Stanford Bridge – decade ago maybe?!
Blacky – You said there are only 3 teams in the league better than us. Considering we’ve beaten Spurs, Arsenal and Liverpool who are the 3? As far as I can see there’s only 1 team that are clearly better than us.
October 23, 2022 at 5:22 pm #2146274@happy – We all know you’re a fucking numpty mate, no need to keep doubly underlining it every time you come on this page! What I actually said was that in my opinion we are the “3rd best team” in this division, but until that is confirmed by our final league position it means nothing. Just because you beat a team on any given day it doesn’t automatically mean that you are better than they are overall, and I think it’s fair to say that City and Arsenal have both been comfortably better than us so far this season, although I do think that this talk of Arsenal being title challengers is complete and utter bollocks. Hope that’s okay for you!😂😂
October 23, 2022 at 5:42 pm #2146282Perfect! I was actually shocked you said we’re the 3rd best team in the league to be honest. Considering how shit all our players are! 😉
October 23, 2022 at 5:56 pm #2146289It’s all relative to what the opposition are doing in comparison to us matey, don’t rate Spurs or Chelsea and Liverpool are all over the place so far, simple as that.
October 23, 2022 at 6:42 pm #2146306Yep, and further confirmation this afternoon that Spurs are as average as fuck. Even City’s win against Brighton yesterday was flattering. Very average league.
October 23, 2022 at 6:46 pm #2146308The big shame is our atrocious start against Brighton and Brentford because if we won those two we’d be right up there right now. A shame we didn’t get off to a good start but there’s lot of time left to build on current good performances and push for a Top Four finish.
October 23, 2022 at 7:08 pm #2146317If if if Sympathy. If me auntie had a pair of balls she’d be me uncle mate.
October 24, 2022 at 6:30 am #2146337@sympathy, in hindsight those 2 losses were important in letting both ETH and board see that drastic action was needed. We’d have neither Casemiro nor Antony if we’d won those games
October 24, 2022 at 8:08 am #2146360Oh yes don’t get me wrong gentlemen – the last decade has been nothing but ifs and buts, and we well might not have had gotten Casemiro and Antony if we won, but nonetheless with the players we had available we could have won both matches and that would’ve built momentum / the new manager bounce would have been engaged.
We’ll see how the year pans out however, so far, the signings are doing well
October 24, 2022 at 9:31 am #2146384What’s a shame is that if we had a decent striker or if Martial could stay fit, that opportunity that Rashford hit straight at Kepa might have been a goal and changed the game, we might actually have won and be sitting in 4th instead of 6th.
October 24, 2022 at 9:35 am #2146387@killyboye – yeah a top striker might’ve made the difference this season… but yeah Ragnick was wrong when he said as much last January I guess lol Director of Football my ass! No idea what they’re doing
October 24, 2022 at 9:46 am #2146394Rangnick wasn’t wrong, we’re just undergoing the longest open heart surgery in history.
October 24, 2022 at 11:14 am #2146430I don’t think we could have asked for any more outgoings/incomings this summer. It was open heart surgery and it will be again next summer.
