Drop Bruno and play 3 in the middle. In the hope they can offer the back 4 some protection.

He won’t drop Bruno. If he were to play three in the middle he’d just pull Bruno back into the midfield instead of playing Casemiro, Cobbie and McT or someone else

We’ll win well I think, we always up our levels when playing bigger clubs. It’s what makes the Brentford match so fucking frustrating, we can see what this team can do against the likes of Liverpool and then they go out against Brentford with zero effort, zero desire and fuck it all away.

No doubting we have some injury prone lads on our hands but the management of the injury situations regarding Malacia, Shaw and Martinez in particular this season has been absolutely pitiful.
It was clear Saturday evening that Martinez wasn’t even ready for a kickabout in a local park with his toddler, let alone a high tempo league game under the lights at an away ground. He caused one goal and coukd have caused another in a shambolic cameo.
I expect 2 defeats this week and with that the beginning of the end for Ten Hag. As Van Gaal discovered not even an FA Cup win will paper over the cavernous cracks….

The stats against Brentford should render the sack of ETH immediately. It’s been like this whole season with a very few exceptions. The season opener against Wolves who played us off the park laid the foundations for every PL teams knowing we are absolute shite. How we won that game and grab a point against Brentford is because of Lady Luck. Every stats shows we are a relegation team and that’s with 400M spent.

@happy – The repeated injuries are just about the only evidence that they even turn up for training at all because there’s certainly no evidence of it on game day.
Only a few months ago you were insistent that we had to stick with Ten Bob come what may, still feel that way mate?!๐Ÿค”๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚

Blacky – Well, i don’t know to be honest. Part of me thinks that ripping it all up and starting again is the same cycle we’ve been in for a decade now. I’m not sure Ten Haag has much control of what’s happening there right now and obviously the new ownership has reduced his power in a lot of ways. So maybe his time is done.
But you’ve never properly answered any questions around Arsenal sticking with Arteta season after season of totally shit football. And we’re not talking about finishing 6th in the league, that cunt had them 8th in consecutive seasons! Awful signings and terrible football. 8th, 8th and then 5th. And then 2nd last season and a real title challenge this season.

I guess we’re starting from scratch anyway with a new footballing structure behind the scenes, so maybe it makes sense for them to get their own manager in. But surely SOMEONE has to be given more than 2 seasons at the club?

@happy – I don’t need to answer anything about Arteta because what Arsenal do is up to them, perhaps they could see things happening off the pitch and on the training ground that convinced them to stick with him?, much like Ferguson’s first few years at OT when he was struggling.
Either way, that bears no relevance to Ten Bob’s situation at OT because the guy is dramatically failing in every single aspect of the job, he is completely out of his depth at OT and every time he speaks he comes across as an even bigger deluded crackpot than LvG ever did back in 2016.
Not only did Brentford have 30 plus shots on our goal on Saturday they also had EIGHTY plus touches in our box, which is a record for them since they joined the league. And this was all off the back of a horror run of results, which had seen them in free fall after losing 12 out of their previous 15 PL games!
There is no style of play, or a structure, organisation or plan or anything else of note to give us even the slightest bit of optimism that things will improve next season, and I said so before a ball had even been kicked back in August, so it’s no great surprise to me to see where we are now, simple as that.

Blacky – So what you’re saying is that Arsenal saw some signs in Arteta that eventually he would get it right? They stuck with him, rebuilt the club in the background from a footballing perspective and aligned his vision with the Director of Football, Edu’s?
Were there not similar signs last season with Ten Haag? Surely people could see that tactically he had a vision that he could implement and function in a winning team?

Assuming you get your wish this summer (again!) and ETH is sacked. Will you then be listing off the same stuff in 18 months about the new manager and demanding he is sacked for being clueless as well? The cycle has to stop! We have to realise that its going to take a manager 3 or 4 years to get his squad together.
Fuck me a new manager now would inherit an Eredivise team and not know what the fuck to do with it!

That’s the problem though isn’t it happy? We’re becoming an Eredivisie team, not a PL team?
