Agreed WF, and I don’t think anyone is saying don’t sign Aguero.
Your pont was why aren’t we tieing it up now which we can’t do.
Also I suspect we aren’t the only ones in for him and we’ll have to wait and see what happens and whether we sign a top striker may well make a difference too. Chelsea or Barca and playing with his mate Lionel would be a difficult choice.
Time will tell buddie.
As I have said previously I think he’s worth a punt.
May 1, 2021 at 10:33 am #1948833Just like Spurs won’t sell Kane to a major rival in England, the same may well apply to Kun Aguero. We are building something which may be special down the track and City are not likely to gift us what could turn out to be the ‘missing link’. Be nice if they did though. As you said 999, worth a punt.
May 1, 2021 at 1:22 pm #194887967, if City had a choice I doubt they would let Aguero join Chelsea but Aguero will be a free Agent in June and it will be his decision as to where he goes. If he wants to stay in the PL then Chelsea are probably his best option but time will tell could be a very interesting Summer. Brilliant goal from Aguero today v Palace if we could keep him fit he’s far from finished.Cheers 9’s
May 1, 2021 at 11:59 pm #1949139Probably right 999. Did you see my last post on the best 30 Chelsea player thread?
November 25, 2021 at 9:06 pm #2023701Just watched Tottenham lose in the Europa Conference which was highly entertaining. Why they would not start with their best possible team considering the urgency to get three points, well who knows! What was also entertaining was watching Conte’s post match response on losing . The only positive for them was that Kane scored for the first time in 6 matches at club level.
November 25, 2021 at 11:12 pm #2023724Best they go out and concentrate on league imo but the team they played is ranked 341st by UEFA bud, I would expect fulham’s second side to beat them let alone spurs 😀
November 26, 2021 at 1:06 am #2023726ha ha Lucky! Just watching a replay of Roma’s match and three minutes in Tammy Abraham reminded me why he is no longer at a club of Chelsea’s standing with a little respect to Roma. I thought Jose had higher expectations of who led the line under his tutelage. Surely the Tammster is not first choice at Roma, surely not!
November 26, 2021 at 1:20 am #2023727of course he goes on to score the 3rd and 4th goals to put egg on my face but still I have seen enough of his awkwardness to know he is not particularly reliable and certainly not a fraction of the class of Didier Drogba not that many are I suppose.
January 31, 2022 at 11:37 pm #2048585Pity this page, a memorial page for a wonderful bloke has been left to stagnate. The last half dozen posts bar 1 are mine over a long period and the only other post a good mate on here that has, hopefully only short term, walked away.
February 1, 2022 at 8:00 am #2048618You’re right 67 I will make a real effort to put more on here and I hope others might do the same we should never forget what a top bloke Jack was or his tremendous courage.
February 1, 2022 at 9:08 am #2048649Oh wow. This thread is heading for 7 years since creation. Time just flies by. Lets hope and prey we can get back to some sort of normality this year without this horrible virus hanging over us day in day out. I hope you are doing well 999 as you approach the completion of your treatment. You and yours and family take care and stay safe my friend.
February 1, 2022 at 1:35 pm #204884867, thanks for your kind thoughts I’ve finished my Chemo course now fingers crossed that’s the end of it. Awaiting scans and results now.🤞
I take my inspiratio from Jack he was a great role model.Cheers 9’s
February 1, 2022 at 8:27 pm #2049037Good on you 999 and many years of good old Chels ahead for both of us. There’s never a dull moment with our beloved football club, especially with what we are led to believe 🙂
February 9, 2022 at 10:24 am #2052065Good to see both James and Chilwell over there in the UAE with the squad that will be playing later today. James is closing in on a return sooner rather than later. Chilwell gone for the season but when are they expecting him back training with the intention to get him back on the pitch?
February 23, 2022 at 8:17 pm #2058405Future Chelsea star scores at Watford after assisting the first goal and Atletico leading United – good morning from the Land down under all or good evening for those in the Northern Hemisphere 🙂
February 27, 2022 at 6:59 am #2059818Another crash and burn by United and they only have 11 games left to our 13 and are 3 points in arrears.
What is significant is the games they have left: All of City, Liverpool and Arsenal away and Tottenham at home
Arsenal looking very good for top 4 also and effectively there are no other threats with Tottenham having played the same number of games as us and 8 behind us.
We have Burnley, Newcastle, Norwich and Brentford our next 4, all relegation threatened teams so we must be on top of our game. I reckon if we win all of those and considering United’s run then top 4 should be a moral.
Our 2nd last game is away to United however the race for the 4 should be well and truly over by then. If not then that would be like another cup final with what the prize would be.
March 3, 2022 at 5:59 am #2061614No one bothers to read posts on this thread, here we go again. I will try anyway.
Broja top scorer for Soton and just looked like Hazard at his best with that 3rd goal in the 95th minute of their FA Cup win against West Ham.
He must surely come back and play at Chelsea next season. He’s very good.
March 3, 2022 at 3:51 pm #206180467, I try to always read the posts on here. But the problem with this thread is that it’s separated from the main body of threads which is why it might be better to post on Kangaroo Jack 2 with miscellaneous items. Cheers 9’s
ps outstanding goal from Broja last night.
March 18, 2022 at 9:44 pm #2068899Blood and guts football Wolves and Leeds 2-2 as I watch and amazing how one unfortunate send off totally turns a game on its head. 50/50 ball with the keeper and if he pulled out then he shouldn’t be a striker and his manager should drop him. Wolves were cruising at 2-0 before the send off and Leeds were clueless. Who knows what next with 15 minutes still remaining.
March 19, 2022 at 8:08 am #2068941Wow, just wow. What an amazing win. I was actually happy for them and cheered them on. I think the Premier League is better for keeping clubs like Leeds in it so I hope they stay up and sort their inefficiencies on the pitch out. Same obviously goes for Everton and moreso for Frank. Newcastle are safe now so thats a 3rd big club that have been at risk of the drop this season that really should never be in such a position. What do we call them? Household names!!
