999… I fully expect some of our own world cup stars to have some big drop off’s in form this season and or pick up some injuries. We’ll need Hazard, fully fit and firing, so I reckon Sarri will ease him back. I expect a cameo role this weekend and would expect to see many of the internationals to pick up some injuries ahead (wink wink) of Septembers inaugural international league or come back injured from it. Given that teams playing on a Thursday evening in the Europa also find form difficult on the Sunday matches… Me reckons that we’ll be seeing a little bit of squad rotation out of necessity.
Anyhow, seriously excited about the game… great stuff ahead win lose or draw. Come on the Chels…
August 17, 2018 at 11:28 am #1666632Chelsea will win EASY – 3-0 Roman
August 17, 2018 at 12:04 pm #166664967… hehehe I’ll take that before and after… where’s 9’s with the long and short odds?
Pedro, Morata and I’ll take Barkley’s first goal…
August 17, 2018 at 12:22 pm #1666657I would love us to not only win but play well and start to shove it somewhere where the sun doesnt shine to all those red loving pundits who keep on saying we cant make the top 4 this season!!
August 17, 2018 at 12:57 pm #1666673Think we have enough ammo to beat the Goons with Hazard starting. I’d even advocate starting Pedro and Hudson Odoi. We’ve a long season ahead of us. 100% in agreement with RDP in suggesting Hazard continues to get eased back into action. The Goons main threat is Auba…keep him quiet job almost done. We’re playing at home, if we play even at 70% of our capability we should still have too much for an average Goon side who are also suffering injuries.
August 17, 2018 at 2:10 pm #1666701hmmm well now!
i shall have to go for a an easy walk for the ARSENAL while playing at a canter, 12 -0 and thats after we take the foot off the gas, we should have far to much for a Chelsea sidde in transistion, keep Hazard quiet (if/when) he plays and job almost done 😉
I jest of course but really do think come what may this could/should be a very good game and am looking forward to it 🙂
August 17, 2018 at 2:57 pm #1666720Steveo… What chances you play two up top, I reckon there’ll be goals in this one. Actually I hope its a cracking game with both sides going for it. Anyhow, I’ll have my pillow ready to cry into… IT’S A LONDON DING DONG DERBY as Mr pearce would shout on Capital Radio moons and centuries ago.
August 17, 2018 at 3:23 pm #1666731Confirmed that Fabregas is out, Morata gets the vote of confidence from the manager and Kovacic could be ready for the bench
Apart from Fabregas no mention of other injuries so sounds like a full squad to choose from
Agree that this has the potential to be an exciting game with mistakes in it and expect goals but sincerely hope that we manage to come out on top and start the Sarri reign sat home with 3 points. KTBFFH
August 17, 2018 at 3:46 pm #1666738Why not leave Hazard on the bench and bring him on later in the game, it’s still so early in the season and he obviously will start most games as the season progresses. I am more worried about the striker position and
see still not convinced we have the best back 4 on the day. Bit on the slow side except for Rüdiger.August 17, 2018 at 4:14 pm #1666750I don’t understand the optimism that it would be a walk in the park. It surely won’t be the case! Arsenal got beaten by the strongest team Man City. And we beat a relegation candidate Hddrsfld. Can’t see this as an easy match. It will be a tough one, a 1 goal win or a draw.
I think Sarri says Hazard is not ready to play 90 min. So don’t expect him to start. Kovacic will be on the bench. It will be the same starting line up as last week. It would be easily anticipated by Emery. I still say 1-0, Willian scores
August 17, 2018 at 4:20 pm #1666751Hey guys nice to read you all again, havent had the time to even visit site much lately let alone post.
Cant wait for game tomorrow, confident we can give them a hiding but prepared for the very real possibility that we concede a few and have difficulty creating enough chances. although if arsenal play against us like they did city they will create a few chances for us any way.
Watched the clubs training video on you tube today and could not stop smiling watching zola train with our current players. As nine said nice to see hazard so happy too.
August 17, 2018 at 5:32 pm #1666775Sounds like as Roman suggested Hazard will start from the bench as will Kovacic personally would like to see CHO on the bench too as he turned Bellerin inside out the other week Kovacic it seems will start from the bench too.
Morata still retains Sarri’s confidence so I suspect it will be the same team v Huddersfield starting v Arsenal. Fingers crossed for three points but imo they won’t be easily won.
August 17, 2018 at 5:32 pm #1666777Lucky, great to see you back on here posting buddie.
August 18, 2018 at 8:51 am #1666823Think Sarri will start with the same team and with Hazard, RLC and Kovacic to come on later. Chance though he may start with Giroud. Unlikely to use any subs for defense unless there’s an injury. Hope for a win drawing or losing against Arsenal at home is a big bringdown
August 18, 2018 at 12:54 pm #1666883Predicted starting eleven from London Football who are usually very accurate? Kepa, Azpilicueta, Rudiger, Luiz, Alonso, Jorginho, Kante, Barkley, Hazard, Pedro, Morata.
August 18, 2018 at 5:46 pm #1666987Making it easy for you lads so far
Very poor arsenal displayAugust 18, 2018 at 6:21 pm #1667000PLaying shit and we could be 5-2 up!
August 18, 2018 at 6:28 pm #1667003Or 6-5 down very poor defending from both teams.
August 18, 2018 at 6:32 pm #1667006I prefer mine 😉
Easier chances missedAugust 18, 2018 at 8:09 pm #1667040Good 2nd half and deserved win however something not right at the back 2 badly defended goals and 3 easy chances missed by Arsenal all in the 1st half. The subs that came on made the team stronger. No Loftus Cheek anywhere not even on the bench.
