Yes that’s right those players would not improve any other top team vastly, I think I should know a bit more than those so easily amazed by Bayern having played watched and managed for 44 years. Anyway u guys stick to your opinions and I will stick to mine, no problem. We also lost to Bournemouth 3-0 at home and we had a better team then.

I honestly see where Blaze is coming from. Bayern had a teamwork last night, and that is what has turned the game in their favour. only Nuer and Lowendowski are world-class. that is the message that Blaze is trying to communicate, and i agree with that. others are good players that would do well, but not deemed world-class.

Okay so extremely disappointing result, and we were largely outclassed. Am I concerned about bowing out of the CL, not at all. Cementing a top 4 finish is the priority and no worse than top 6, so the fewer distractions the better.

Frank was brutally honest in his assessment after the game, but just how brutal and honest will he be with himself is equally important.

Are we heading in the right direction, hell yes, but we are still a bit off the pace.

Personally I do not think we have the blend of youth and experience in either the backroom staff or playing squad.

It is a massive jump up from Championship to Premiership and even bigger to include European Football, and I think Frank needs to look for someone with the appropriate experience to join himself and Jody on the coaching staff.

We have too many players out for too long with muscle injuries, and we concede too often late on in games. To me that indicates a team that is lacking fitness levels both mentally and physically. The fitness staff came with Frank from the Championship and to me they are still operating to that standard. That needs to change.

We have two world cup winners in our squad, one who up until the weekend could not even get on the bench, and another who was being hailed as one of, if not the best defensive midfielders in the world, during which time he won two league titles as well as the WC. Yet Frank insists in playing him out of position, and ironically the stats show we perform better when he is not playing as opposed to when he is playing ….. out of position!!!

These are the reasons I ask how brutally honest will Frank be when assessing himself.

If he is and starts to make some very difficult and some not so difficult decisions I think we are only one more season away from being real contenders again.

    Just my opinion though!!

CHM-I agree about not being world class, but they would have improved this current Chelsea side.Except Liverpool, they would improve every team in the EPL,imho.Alaba is a world class playing as a left-back,but not a central defender or a winger. And I would take Lewa ahead of every single striker in the world right now, even ahead of Aguero or fully fit Kane.

I’m not sure if those players you are mentioning would make the grade at City. Bayern’s attack had Granby and Lewandowski. and you can’t say Granby has been pulling the trees at the PL before. and I’m not sure if he will start ahead of Sterling or Mahrez or Bernardo. would Lowendowski start ahead of Aguero? that is a tough call to make in my opinion. while Lowendwoski has proven his credentials at the German league, Aguero has proven time and time that he is a world-class striker, he has proven his credentials at both Laliga and in the PL.

Nuer and Alaba could well make into the City team, all i was saying was that Bayern has played a team game last night, and it has worked for them. you will only know the true class of Bayern when they face Liverpool or Juventus.

Just watched City outclass Real on their home ground, I can’t think of any Bayern Munich player making the City team on a regular basis not even Lewandowski, Chelsea’s current squad is basically a strong mid table team for now even though we still 4th so you can’t really compare.

The gap in class was enormous last night and very few Chelsea players bar maybe Kante would make the Bayern team. Bayern are a big contender for the CL this season imo alongside Liverpool and City.

Juventus lost to Lyon last night, and what is more interesting is that they haven’t had a shot on target in 95 minutes? some thing is not right at the club. at leas at Chelsea he had players who followed his instructions. i’m bot sure Sarri has that at Juventus
