Pleased for the lad and hopefully it might help convince him about what he could achieve at Chelsea if he stays with us.

Not sure how he gets a call up when he has kicked a ball in the Premier League. Everyone sees his talent except the loser Sarri

The lad has a talent. Otherwise Bayern wouldn’t have offered 40m for him. Unproven, raw, but got talent. And speed. And shoootings. So why haven’t we started him? Because he is only 18 years old.

I agree to manage expectation. But still, he was nowhere near the bench before. It’s only very recently that he’s given some good minutes from the bench. He is the future of our football club. We need to make him feel appreciated. I hope he will sign. IMO Hazard can leave, but not him !!

Sarri will want to take credit and tell everybody that he developed him. Could not be further from the truth.

His good enough for England but not a regular at club level, its all about keeping the senior players as happy as possible to the detriment of brilliant young players, Sarri needs to go right away or else the rut will keep hanging on. The club cannot afford it any longer.

So Gareth Southgate and Holland once again showing Chelsea that they believe in the youngsters even if Conte and Sarri dont. So thats CHO and RLC into the senior fold. The club is really missing a trick not bringing more youngsters through.

the mighty palmbs raised the right back prospect, we’re talking abot dave having a pretty catastrophic season form wise. I was chatsied by mr Palmbs for suggesting Wan Bissaka at Palace as a replacement because we have our own version.

So any manager coming to chelsea… Good enough mean old enough.

Sorry, nothing more than a publicity stunt from Southgate showing how he promotes youth…!! (Not even sure who has pulled out to allow Hudson Odoi to be given his chance either..)

However, it does allow Hudson Odoi to mix with a group of talented players and simply get used to being in the senior squad. I do not expect him to get a game but you never know with Southgate. It is also a further indicator to Sarri and possibly Chelsea that there is a great potential talent that they should be looking to do all they can to convince him to stay

For the kid, this is a great honour and maybe can show him that by staying at Chelsea he could realise his dreams but then you consider Sancho as well and he may just realise those dreams could be achieved a lot quicker with regular games at Bayern…!! KTBFFH

1905.. I suppose it has nothing to do with the fact he’s worked with many of Chelsea’s youth coming through the ranks to become England boss? Publicity stunt or backing players who have won it all at junior level and is copying the highly successful Spanish model of bringing players through who are winners into the senior team?

Good enough, old enough… CHO for chelsea. I dont care if he makes mistake and costs us points, take a longer term view the kid is Chelsea’s immediate future.

RDP – you will know that I have never been one worried about “we must bring youth through just to show we are a real Club”, however, my recent posts this season have all been supportive of Hudson Odoi getting more games and being given a chance. I am also more in line with the fact that he is seen as the future of the Club

Just think that Southgate wants to be seen as a man on a mission with youth. I would imagine he has never worked with Hudson Odoi and if Holland has it was some time ago and at a distance as he did not manage the teams that Hudson Odoi would have been playing in while Holland was here (probably monitored them though)

Don’t get me wrong, I am pleased for the kid and hope that the experience benefits him and I agree that he could well be the long term future of Chelsea if we can persuade him to stay. Probably think he may have been better at U21 and getting a game then more than likely warming a bench (depends on how brave Southgate actually is on that one)

Regardless, a great honour for the player and by extension for the Club. KTBFFH

I think this is a recognition for the lad’s talent, but especially hard work and patience. He hasn’t even started a league match for Chelsea. I applaud the decision of Southgate to include him. It will be good for his morale but also it will show young English talents to be sure that they have future with national teams. Honestly sometimes I miss the period of end 80’s early 90’s before Bosman rule. Big number of domestic players in a team with select foreign players.

But cannot complain, Chelsea achieved so much glory than I could have ever imagined. Back to CHO, for me this is an encouraging news. And I hope that the lad can see that he has future with Chelsea.

The England manager has made a statement to Sarri on behalf of all Chelsea fans. Be interesting to see whether Callum gets any first team starts in the Premier League moving forward.

Especially good for Hudson Odoi that he can now spend at least a week or so in the company of Sancho to be persuaded why it is better to move to Germany….!!

OK – bit tongue in cheek and the overall experience should only benefit Hudson Odoi but I hope some of the older wiser heads also explain to him how difficult it is to progress. I was actually quite pleased with Kane’s response when asked about Hudson Odoi and whether he needs to leave the Club. He just stated that there are many paths to getting to the top and leaving for a new club is just one of those and is no guarantee (please take note Callum) KTBFFH

So Hudson Odoi has another admirer who joins his fan club and reconises talent when they see it…England.Pity Sarri can’t see what’s already under his nose. All that noise Sarri was making about Hudson Odoi being an integral part of our squad was just merely lip-service,he still chose to select ‘his favorites’,players who are not performing instead of picking players who are hungry and want to play.As sure as the sky is blue Hudson Odoi will be gone in the summer to a club that will appreciate him and there’s not a fat lot the club can do about it.

If reports today are both Bayern and now Dortmund are looking at Hudson Odoi as well as Chelsea wanting to keep him

Lot of options available to the young man so lets hope someone at the Club can convince him to stay but the easiest way to accomplish that is simply by playing him…!! KTBFFH

I actually think the way CHO is being used is wise. We’ve seen he’s by no means the finished article and I havent been overly impressed by him when he’s come on. As we can see with the Europa League, it’s easy to shine. Giroud, bless his cotton socks, looks like a world class striker who could score for fun. Put him in against a mid table premier side and he looks distinctly ordinary.

He has a bright future and we all want him to come in and do well, same for RLC and Ampadu. These guys ARE the future, but they will make mistakes, have collapses in form (see Christiensen) and will slowly adjust to a very much faster and physical premier league. See RLC ongoing injury that’s probably linked to growth spurts and broadening out and possibly his fast car seat like Ryan Giggs with his hamstrings.

mtal61. CHO is perfectly entitled to move, but he would do well to see others who have moved on and failed rather than look at those who do and succeed, the failure list is a lot longer.

TBH, any player who doesnt want to be at Chelsea can move on because their heart isnt at the club adn they are looking for a pay day and playing time. Its impatience and youthful ambition meeting ego, if that’s the players mindset, the club can probably do without it and the attitude that comes from it.

I’d like to see him getting more minutes in the Premier League, but if that happens, rest assured he’ll probably make a number of mistakes. and if he’s to succeed at CFC, he’ll have to really work on his defensive side of the game and team ethic. my simple observations and fingers crossed he gets his head down in training and outperforms Pedro Willian and Hazard… Who tbh, i’ll be greatful to see the back of this summer as he’s just not moved into the Ronaldo / messi bale/ Sterling brackets. tired waiting for it to happen and the way he keeps stringing the club along. For me its a case of sign up of piss off.

Interesting that none of the top English clubs have shown interest in Callum. Now that would be a statement and give the Chelsea board something to think about. At the moment they are playing his bluff.

read in the media not sure of course how true it is but both United and Liverpool have shown some kind of interest in CHO.

RDP – I agree that in some respect the way that Sarri is handling Hudson Odoi is along the right lines to break him in gently. However, the problem is that we have top clubs sniffing around and so we have to take that bigger step to show him that we believe in him as much as any other team

In these circumstances I think words do not carry as much weight as simply getting games under his belt. I have stated many times that once we refused to let him leave then Chelsea should be playing him in every game, whether as a starter or as a substitution. That way he gets a degree of continuity, gains a lot of experience and hopefully the actions will speak louder than words and he can be persuaded to stay. KTBFFH

Monty – definitely seen the Liverpool link but think that is an old story just resurfacing because of the Mane to Real rumour that is doing the rounds

Currently Real are being linked with everyone and so some weird stories will be doing the rounds until the transfer window opens or Real make agreements now for the Summer window. Going to be a case of watch this space I am afraid. KTBFFH

This says it all really. A bit of a backhander for that thick twat that supposedly coaches the team.

#Southgate asked again about CHO selection: “Players have to have quality to play in the shirt. Ideally they play regularly but I can’t wait for clubs to pick a player 100 times. If good enough pick them. Callum has looked every inch an #eng player in training.” #cfc

    Furthermore:

    #Southgate says he won’t hesitate to start #Sancho or #HudsonOdoi for #Eng. “They’re both ready.” #cfc

    Take note Sarri.
