From the MEN
Manchester City have sold out of Seasoncards ahead of Pep
Guardiola ‘s arrival.
The Catalan will takeover on July 1 and is expected to make
a series of signings to reshape the squad he inherits
from Manuel Pellegrini .
And the level of anticipation among the City fans is clear
from the speed at which Gold and Platinum cards have
been snapped up.
There are a limited number of Premium Seat Seasoncards
still available for those registered on the club’s waiting
list.
M.E.N. Sport understands the number of sales is up on
last season.
The club expanded the capacity of the Etihad Stadium last
summer to 55,000, with the extra 7,500 seats providing more
£299 cards, which are the cheapest in the Premier League.
However, the distinction between Gold and Platinum continues
to be a contentious issue among fans.
Gold entitles holders to the same seat for all 19 Premier
League matches.
An upgrade to Platinum costs an extra £50 and means the
holder receives double loyalty points on any additional
tickets bought for away games or home matches in cup
competitions.
