1967@ 9:28am “and we also recovered a draw with a 96th minute equaliser from Barkley against United”

Nothing’s set in stone. If Madrid get Neymar they won’t be able to afford Hazard as well. If Eden goes…good luck to him. Given us 6 years of awesome service nd will always be fondly remembered. Pulisic, Sancho, Bailey…those are the players we should be lining up to replace him.

Back to the thread….Courtois has gone and is not on my radar. I have no idea how he’s performing and I don’t care one bit. He played for Chelsea but he WAS NOT a proper Chelsea player in my view. Played his games and picked up his wages. His head and heart were always elsewhere. NOT a club man, not a player that will be remembered with any feelings of yearning or warmth. Kepa is now our guy. And he’s done fairly well thus far.

WF stop trying to agitate fellow posters with your stereotypical assumptions,

Please enlighten me how i’m agitating fellow posters? I had been called alot of names since i started posting, put not one of them was arrogance or any related word. Are are you looking for trouble? I’m not interested.

I had exposed the hypocrisy in this forum. There are different rules for different players. For example if Hazard leaves people will understand and take it positively, but if Courtois leaves he is a traitor? If Hazard leaves in the summer, it doesn’t mean that the club decided it. Its because Hazard opted not to sign a new contract which is a clever way to push for a transfer. Like many have said family and Children comes first, and in that way i understand why Courtois would want to join Real Madrid. Apart from the prestidge, staying closer to his children is another bonus that all of us would have taken.

Regardless about his form, its difficult to prejudge a player when the club is in crisis. So many have joined to conclude that we should sell Costa after that disasterous 2015/16 season. And he had proven them wrong the following season by netting 20 goals. Once he settles i’m certain that he will prove his worth.

I personally thank his service to this club. Will remember him fondly more than i would remember some managers that we had.

Sorry Wisefan but show me the hypocracy? There’s a massive difference between Eden and Courtois. Firstly don’t bring his kids into it…it’s NOT why most of us are glad to see the back of him. Its the WAY he engineered his move that showed him up. Him leaving for Madrid for his kids could have been handled very differently. Like him keeping his fat mouth shut, avoiding speculation and not courting controversy…which is what he constantly did. Happy to trash our club after he left and then make sneaky overtures to Hazard in the summer. Not on. So…massive difference between the two. One has given us six years of unbelievable service. Not moaned and belittled the club. The other…was never happy to be at CFC.

Wise fan, you need to rachet it back a tad you seem to become over active and inspired after any Chelsea set back yet when things are going well you’re very quiet and as others have suggested you seem to set out to try and antagonize by being a bit too extreme with your views and you are very selective with your arguments too going from being anti Costa when he was popular with Chelsea fans with you wanting him gone from the Club to significantly supporting Costa when he fell out with the Club alienating the fans the exact reversal of your previous position.

Overall you always seem to take the opposite view on here to the majority because that will illicit the maximum number of responses to you which keeps the whole thing going.

The shame of it all is whatever good points you may make are often lost in all of this silliness.

    Nine

To be honest i wasn’t supposed to post today according to my scheduale. But i felt obliged to reply to Blaze for that post. Besides that i had been saying that we are not as strong as we may think, and grudgingly you may agree with me.

This thread has nothing to do with the Chelsea defeat. Its personal to Courtois. Who i was a massive fan. And let us be honest we should be thanking for his service. Diffrentiate between the serivce and his attitude. I pointed posters are lenient to certain players and call traitors others. At the end of the day, if a players leaves the. Club they left whether good terms or bad terms, and we should thank their service to the club and move on. Which we are refusing to do until now.

I’m happy to move on Nine. The only thing that i was against was crucifying some of our ex players who had won trophies for us whilst putting their body on the line. We may not like him. But we shouldn’t forget what he has done for this club.

Wise fan… You sir, are a hypocrite. Your words today… The only thing that i was against was crucifying some of our ex players who had won trophies for us whilst putting their body on the line. We may not like him. But we shouldn’t forget what he has done for this club…. courtouis, lanky, slow reactions, unable to claim a high ball/ cross, dreadful at one on ones and slept with a team mate’s girlfriend who you’ve gone on to call the best midfielder in the league playing for pep at city.

So lets work this angle with you… Here are your own hypocritical words to describe current chelsea players and managers past and present.

May 21, 2018 at 11:20 am. ‘Give Willian to United, he hasn’t progressed since he was at Chelsea. and will be 30 this summer.’

(You’ve been adamant he’s not chelsea class yet has won torphies with us so demands, in your words, respect.)

May 13, 2018 at 4:57 Conte has done the biggest damage to the club PR, more then Mourinho has done.

May 13, 2018 at 4:30 Lost for words to describe this humiliation. can’t wait to see the back of this man. (in refering to conte you mean.)

(Youve gone and attacked Alonso consistently saying hes not good enough)

May 5, 2018 at 9:14 It will be a catastrophic match if Alonso plays ahead of Emerson and comes up against Salah or Mane. both of them will leave him for dead. this match will expose how Conte is tactically. and i’m afraid to say, Alonso will be picked ahead of the much solid Emerson.

May 4, 2018 at 9:44 pm Better V. Ginkel than another Drinkwater mate. that is the message i’m trying to communicate here.

November 8, 2015 at 8:54 – i made no secret that i’m not a fan of Mourinho’s style of management. if as you claim he is a great manager, he shouldn’t be praising himself by saying that Chelsea can’t sack him as he is the best.. (this is you going easy on Jose mourinho. You were calling for his sacking from the moment he turned up a second time because it wasnt pep and there are hundreds of posts where you target the manager)

Anyhow, you’re a silly rotten hypocrite and I cant any longer take you seriously you deluded fool.

That’s the problem this sort of thing leads to responses from other posters and often and perhaps understandably frustrated responses etc etc.

Please can everyone put this one to bed now and try and be respectful to each other going forwards as difficult as that might seem at times.

My perspective is that Chelsea fans generally (not referring to any of my esteemed Blue TT brothers) have been overly critical of Thibaut.

Yes, he engineered his exit with all the subtlety of a brick chucked at a window, but in the final analysis I really believe it was the Dad in him that dominated his thinking and therefore his actions, and I for one empathise with that to the point that any other perceived missteps are entirely forgivable.

He certainly could’ve been more subtle, but subtleties or lack thereof aside, I saw him bleed Blue on many an occasion.

I like to think that Chelsea fans are better than the crying Gooners (for example) who seemingly can’t wait to hang their ex-heroes out to dry. Fab, Ash – both should be getting standing ovations at the Emirates. As we all know, the opposite is true.

I wish Thibaut (if not Real Madrid) all the best, and if he were to return to the Bridge I would be on my feet clapping him.

Ash, you might be on your own mate.😊

Personally I didn’t like how Courtois handled himself particularly in his last year or what he said when he got to Real but few if any can resist the lure of Real and thats without taking his kids into account.

Let’s just hope we get to welcome Real to the Bridge in the not too distant future.😊

Anyway he’s gone now and Kepa looks very promising time to put Courtois behind us.

Not the best keeper in Madrid… naval and athleticos are better. We did well to get 35 million for him.

‘Can’t believe Keylor Navas is not playing!’ – Fans vent their frustrations over Thibaut Courtois as Real Madrid lose 3-0 in the Champions League
