More of a reason than an excuse JM. If it was an excuse then I wouldn’t be bothered about the result, but I am.

The performance and result yesterday were sickening to say the least but I am even more shocked because I expected us to start turning out these type of displays around December and January when we supposedly would become jaded.

After that performance yesterday, we have to conclude we are unfit and that means we are either too late in preseason training (which I think is highly likely) or we are still knackered from last season. Either way it is unacceptable that we were physically so far off the pace yesterday. The blame has to squarely lie on Solkjaer and his team.

With that said, Lindelof has to be mentioned for his sickening display – he reminds me of Pascal Cygan – completely talent less on a physical and technical level, he played like he’d stumbled out of the pub onto the pitch – bullied in every duel and roundly fucking rubbish throughout. Lindelof was an embarrassment yesterday and it peeves me that this fucker still starts games when we have several able bodied human beings to play instead of him.

I am hopeful that OGS is playing the likes of James and Lindelof in the opening game to show that meatheaded Woodward just how pants this team is. We desperately need a new CB and a right winger plus a left back. We have absolutely no width and it makes it ridiculously easy to defend our attacks. Palace had 9 men in the box and they never ventured to defend the wide areas because it is so obvious that we have no ability to get to the byline and deliver quality crosses – not one of our players can do this.

Yesterday was a fucking disgrace and I hope Woodward, Solskjaer, and everyone else in any position of authority within the club knows that they are right cunts at the minute. All of them.

    What a fucking abomination!

Hatters … pascal cygan? Thanks for reminding me of him 🤣 he was so so bad

I think you’re tired yes but honestly don’t see why

Professional athletes, big break in summer another 3 week break, you played a week longer then other clubs who’s players don’t have this issue

It’s sonethhhg else for me, no idea what, training or mentality?

If you pushed for 60 mins then fades fair enough this is something different

Who knows could be a one off as I’m hoping arsenals game yesterday was as we were also awful after a good 1st game

Definitely no easy games in the PL any more that’s for sure

@steveosnakeeye. Yes. Pascal Cygan mate. There was a period when I loved Wenger’s choices of defenders. A time when if Lauren wouldn’t make the critical goal conceding error he would be usurped by the likes of Pascal Cygan or Kolo Toure. There was a time for spectacularly bad defending at Arsenal and I loved it. Now I see similar antics when watching the likes of Lindelof and Bailly – always 2 seconds away from a critical error resulting in a goal.

It is very difficult being a Manchester United fan lately.

Tough being ab arsenal fan to mate was chatting to the Ed on footy debate about it who is a united fan, think we used to go toe to toe for top honours and be feared and respected alike, now we are both utterly irrelevant with no ambition …. sad days!
Both clubs need new better owners … simple as that as blacky would say , all the managers and dross players for both teams are all because of that
If only we had got usmanov instead!!

Always good to get another perspective, so this is the objective opinion of Perry Groves, who’s not a bad pundit actually. He told talkSPORT : “(Victor) Lindelof, (Luke) Shaw, (Scott) McTominay and (Daniel) James; they are not good enough for a club of Manchester United’s stature. There’s four players right there.“ Well there are more Perry, but that’s not bad for starters. Everyone outside the club knows how shit we are.

@JM-Our problems are top to bottom mate. There wasn’t one player on the wkd that played remotely well. They could all be fucked off after that shambles. The more i think about it, i have less and less confidence that Ole will get it right. Looking at the next 9 fixtures, realistically, the league season could be over by November yet again. Fernandes and Covid probably saved Ole from some serious problems last year but i think this season he won’t escape. I really hope i’m wrong but i can see a season of absolute fucking misery ahead.

Another thing, surely if Leeds are offering £12M for James that has to be agreed. Then go out and get Sarr for around £30M plus add ons. To me that automatically upgrades the right wing position and adds strength and depth. We also need a centre forward. The amount of times on the wkd we had the ball and no one was in the box was absolutely fucking ridiculous. Martial can play of the left with Rashford benched. The amount of changes needed is scary

Ole’s apologists can bang on about the lack of signings all they want, but the stark reality is that there was only one Palace player on that pitch who would get a regular game in our team, and that’s Zaha. The rest were all journeymen, who have been binned off by other clubs at some stage because they weren’t good enough, yet they came to OT and dominated our lot, and could easily have scored at least 5 goals.
Not only that, it’s the 2nd time in succession that Uncle Woy has come to OT and done a number on Ole and his bunch of chinless wonders on the bench, it ain’t no coincidence and it will continue to happen because Ole is out of his depth in a job of this magnitude, he always was, and is always going to be, simple as that.

@n1xer – If those James rumours have any foundation they have to snap Leeds’s hand off mate, irrespective of bringing in a replacement. James is so completely devoid of footballing talent, it’s actually fucking frightening, and anyone who still insists he will come good needs to give their heads a serious fucking wobble, he is complete and utter dogshit!

When Phil Jones got a new 4 year contract, it showed the ambition of the club, or the complete lack thereof.
Ole, as manager, should have said no.

With that in mind, I see no chance of James or Jesse going. We are simply unable to shift deadwood and reward people like Mata and Matic in the twilight of their careers. We are Disneyland for has been and never will be footballers. And managers and coaches too. They simply can’t believe their luck.

Footballing logic is well and truly gone at United. We have some of the most poorly performing players in their positions in England as regular starters. DDG, Lindelof, Shaw, Rashford to name but 4 and then others who are championship standard like James and McTominay.

Shortly after Ole took over, he was banging on about how poor the fitness and conditioning of the players was from the JM regime. Well, only a blind man would say that it has improved – we are dead on our feet every game now and making journey men look like A listers, to the point that serious questions need to be asked of Ole and his coaches.

Leeds wanting James puts a huge fucking question mark over Bielsa’s judgement I have to say.

I think James is mostly just out of his depth. He should be sent out on loan with a second winger coming in this summer. A season long loan would be perfect. Perisic anybody?

    moral-And thats precisely why we wont go anywhere to winning major trophies,and why we are a laughing stock.Just look at this list,how much they cost,and how much they earn;
    DDG,Bailly,Rojo,Dalot,Shaw,Jones,Lindeflop,Arry,Matic,Mata,Fred,Jessie,Andy,
Ighalo,James,Pogba.Until every single one of these fuckers is gone,Utd wont be challenging for major trophies.

@homer – If he’s out of his depth, which he most certainly is mate. So much so in fact he’s actually drowning, then it’s not time to send him out on loan, it’s time to bin the useless fucker right off asap if there’s a deal to be done.
Now we are seeing just why he couldn’t even get on Shrewsbury Town’s bench when he went on loan there 3 years ago. It beggars belief that we paid 15m for the guy, he’s not worth even 10% of that price, simple as that.

Crystal Palace thoroughly deserved to win, but it was never a penalty in a million years and to make it worse, after a great save, the penalty was made to be retaken
