“Sturridge is now free to join whoever he wants. Chelsea need some firepower up front, and a short-term deal could be the answer to the Blues problems. Despite the nagging injury issues, Sturridge scored seven-goals, in 13-appearances during his brief spell in Turkey.

Although the former England international has a questionable attitude, working with a former team-mate in Frank Lampard, could work for both the player, and the club. It’s a shot in the dark, and suspect he might end up in the MLS, but I wouldn’t rule it out.”

With a short term punt? Mourinho might think the same?

Not for me. Too selfish. I would stick with Giroud and Bats. And a possibility of playing false nine when Pulisic or CHO will be available

Daniel Sturridge has been banned from “all football and football-related activity” worldwide until 17 June, fined £150,000 and his three-year contract with Trabzonspor terminated after just six months as the Football Association successfully appealed against the “unduly lenient” length of his ban for a betting offence.”

    Yep that’s sorted that one.😊

Still might be worth a punt in June though as a back up striker on a free.

a weeks wages and approx 10 week ban. Pretty lenient for the offence which is a no no in all professional sports. A League player was banned for life here for a similar offence and ended up taking his own life. Sad.

The funny thing is 67 that Sturridge didn’t move to Sevilla after all and they all lost their money.😊

Agree with you no place for such things in football or any Sport.

Ban or no ban I wouldn’t want Sturridge near the Bridge. All the talent in the world but poor attitude, selfish in nature, a dressing room problem and an appalling injury record. No thanks…

My abiding memory of Sturridge at Stamford Bridge was the number of times he did not celebrate teammates goals.

Not a team player … at any club!!
