I have to admit I am torn on the subject. There are effectively two schools of thought; 1) Everton are historically a bigger club, greater funds for transfer market and established youth academy. 2) Burnley have supported him through thick and thin and have backed him this summer, allowing him to bring in the likes of Wood for a club record fee. Supported fully by fans, chairman and has a lot of respect from neutrals.
Everton are in disarray whereas Burnley are stable, does he have time to turn this around? Probably.
Should he risk or should he hold out for a bigger club? Whatever he does will ultimately seen as risky but ambitious or taking the safe option but unambitious naivety.
October 31, 2017 at 1:07 pm #1551728He deserves a chance at a bigger club but at present I don’t see Everton as much bigger, they have a new injection of money but at present I don’t think its quite right at goodison and you could have the same thing happen to him as happen to Moyes at united….if it worked it could be very good but ppoor results and all the hard work he has put in and earned would be blown and hard to recover from
October 31, 2017 at 1:45 pm #1551748Everton are one of the biggest clubs in the country and its the perfect time to take over. All he has to do is stabilise them this season, which gives him plenty of time to settle in. That Everton squad should easily finish mid table.
If he is ambitious, he has to go for it.
October 31, 2017 at 1:54 pm #1551752How are they one of the biggest in the country?!
October 31, 2017 at 2:09 pm #1551760I might be wrong but aren’t Everton the fourth most successful in England?
October 31, 2017 at 2:12 pm #1551762Be interested to know what Evertonian’s would make of a Dyche appointment?
October 31, 2017 at 2:16 pm #1551770Blimey if that’s true…and also if true that would also mean clubs like PNE and Wolves are up there too….no they are not they may have a proud history and one point been one of the biggest clubs but not in the modern era. You don’t see many non evertonian everton fans like you do the actual big clubs….like the Surry Reds (just for hatters) 😉
October 31, 2017 at 2:21 pm #1551773Oh god, don’t get plastics whining on another thread lol
You get Everton fans everywhere. Would you say Spurs aren’t a big club? Everton are like Spurs but with more trophies.
October 31, 2017 at 6:19 pm #1551828Jonathan – Everton have less trophies than Spurs, zero champions league appearances and twice as many years since they last won anything. Maybe you meant to compare them to Newcastle
October 31, 2017 at 6:32 pm #1551831If he wants to improve himself he needs to go. That is the sad reality for clubs like Burnley.
November 1, 2017 at 7:43 am #1551967Thomas, Everton have 9 league titles, Spurs have 2, I think. Which they never talk about. I imagine Spurs have more FA Cups?
CL appearances count for nothing, totally irrelevant
Maybe I should of said Everton are like Spurs but with more league titles.
November 1, 2017 at 7:57 am #1551972of COURSE the spuds are not a big team! hahahahahhaahhaha
November 1, 2017 at 8:25 am #1551987I think big Sam is ideal for Everton
Dyche is to young to take such a big job and I think it will end in tears
November 1, 2017 at 8:37 am #1551992@steveosnakeeye. You just couldn’t help yourself could you ol’ bean? Hehehehe.
As for the topic, I reckon Sean Dyche should take the Everton job. He would either sink or swim with the increased weight of expectation from the board and fans alike. When you look at the rise of Pochettino it’s clear he took every opportunity to “step up the ladder” and look where he is now at Spurs – no disrespect to the Spuds but Poch is now poised to manage one of the biggest clubs in the world ala PSG, Barcelona, Real Madrid and the like. He did that by moving quickly from Espanyol to Southampton to Spurs – all these moves bringing more pressure and expectation.
November 1, 2017 at 9:50 am #1552034they are tiny club though hatters hardly a worldwide fan base or won much, ever 😉

November 1, 2017 at 1:01 pm #1552159This is a real tough one. Sometimes a mamanger just fits somwhere (Owen Coyle for example) Going to Everton would be a huge gamble, as he could find himself out of work before the season ends if he doesnt turn around results – on the otherhand Everton ARE one of the biggest clubs in the country and if Dyche has any managerial ambition then he must make the step up. I would like to see Dyche manage England one day so it could be said going to Everton and European football is a natural stepping stone.
I think he should take the job.And on a side note – I would say Spurs have ovetaken Arsenal now. Champions League football and soon to have a bigger stadium.
November 1, 2017 at 1:39 pm #1552176Can he attract players? Fergie rates him highly.
November 1, 2017 at 2:54 pm #1552206Jonathan yes maybe you should ‘of’ moved the goalposts to suit your non argument, wouldn’t be the first time
November 1, 2017 at 3:19 pm #1552231Jonathan, Thomas..
Extremely polite indignation there chaps 🙂Spurs haven’t overtaken Arsenal. They’ve won nothing yet, and having a shiny new stadium doesn’t mean sh*t until they win something in it!!
Arsenal are going through a difficult period in their modern history compared to the days of being the only club realistically challenging Manchester United, but they still won the FA Cup last season. What did the Spuds win??
DISCLAIMER: I have no beef with the Spuds and have huge respect for their players, manager and Sir Harry Kane inparticular. Just pointing out that they’ve got to do a bit more than ‘put the pressure on’ and avoid Saint Totteringham’s day.
