Well chaps,I don’t know about you guys but as soon as Pogba missed that chance last night I just knew what was going to happen next because we’ve seen it all too often this season.
The way that plank Fellaini just looked at their lad and then allowed him a free run at the cross was pathetic, some captaincy material he is!,and I have to fully endorse what @fatrooney has said about Martial.
What I saw from that guy in his half hour on the pitch was truly shocking.I can take a guy being short of form and low on confidence but that fucker didn’t try a leg after he came on last night and that is unforgivable in my eyes. There were several occasions when he failed to track back when Anderlecht countered and his total lack of effort to burst forward beyond the half way line when Pogba broke into space late on was beyond piss poor ,then even when he did get the ball in some space he looked completely clueless as to what to do with it.If that’s the best effort the sullen, sulky fucker can muster then he can disappear at the end of the season and good riddance to him.I used to feel sorry for him and think that he was getting a raw deal from Mourinho, but that little ‘cameo’ has put paid to all those thoughts.
Apparently, the next goal he scores will trigger another 10M payment to Monaco so it would not surprise me if that’s the last we ever see of him, unless something dramatically changes between his ears which I cannot see happening.Hopefully Wenger would take him in part exchange for Alexis Sanchez!.

Compare Martial to someone like Mane eh Blacky? No point being as quick as Linford Christie if you’re just going to shuffle around like a sulky teenager. He’s playing like a lad who knows he’s on his way out.

@Scholesy – Not quite sure what your definition of ‘fine’ is mate, unless you just mean mounting a decent challenge for a top four place because that’s just about all it would guarantee I’m afraid.
My own view is that we need at least one top centre back(ideally two!),a left back (90% certain Shaw is a goner),two quality CMF players,a pacy winger and at least one world class forward and that’s IF Zlatan signs his new contract. If he doesn’t then we will have to look at bringing in two forwards because I think it’s safe to say Rooney is a goner and we couldn’t go into a new season with just A.N Other and Rashford as our only striking options, especially if we do end up in the Champions League.
Then you have all the departures to factor in,Depay,Bastian and Schneiderlin have already gone and realistically Rooney,Darmian,Young,Carrick,Shaw and Blind look odds on to go,then there must be major doubts over the likes of Smalling,Jones and Martial plus as @Tommy alluded to we have the DDG saga coming up again!.Christ, things are worse than even I thought they were!.

@Tommy – That’s how it looked didn’t it?,had high hopes for the lad and thought LvG had actually found us a top player amongst all his other dross signings.Alas,it was just another false dawn it seems.

Ha ha, fuck me united_we_win, your so predictable mate, straight at me about old Marouane. Firstly, I don’t rate him, I simply point out he’s not the worst player at the club, which in itself is worrying. Secondly, he was responsible for the equaliser although I’m not sure anyone was going to stop that fucker. But finally, and most importantly, the only reason we didn’t win that game, a game that we totally controlled barring about 10 minutes, was because we missed a shitload of chances and you can blame whoever you want for that. End of!

Honestly I can’t see Rashford’s importance to this team! There was nothing he did successfully last night. And to even think sb said we should rely on him as our starting no 9 next season is baffling. Dogshite that’s Wah that boy is. Only hype, nothing more nothing less. I hope he’s barnshied to the U-21s. Give me Lingard all day!And as for Ibra, I hope he’s no where near OT next season.

Strange Olan, I thought he was exceptional apart from failing to score. All opinion though mate.

Missed the game yesterday. Judging by the comments, it was the same old story.

Didn’t watch the game yesterday but it seems to be a case of deja vu. Before kick off I would have taken a 1-1 but now it seems like a poor result.

At least anderlecht can’t afford to park the bus next week as they have to score.

Crikey Olan…not really sure how you could say that about Rashford yesterday? He was comfortably the second best player on the pitch for me…unfortunately the best player was their centre half. Annoyingly, the Belgians I were with were joking he should be drugs tested as he’s never that good.

What I liked about Rashford last night was that he looked like he is starting to learn how to be dangerous from a wide start…other than West Ham away I’ve never thought he looked comfortable there. Hopefully he can push on now.

Agree Tommy, although I thought Pogba was marginally our best player. He’s a class act, and get a top quality midfielder either side of him and we’ll see him at his best. Still think midfield x 2 and a world class striker are the priorities, then full backs. This won’t go down well but Valencia was shite as usual in my opinion – he’d no idea where his cross for Rashford for the first goal was going.

There was nothing exceptional about any of our players last night bar Martial who was,as Blacky pointed out was-exceptionally bad.Just like Ozil @ Arsenal, this player it seems does not want to be here anymore!.Watching that gem Dybala this season, and comparing him to the likes of Martial,Lingard and Mata, and to think he cost less than Mata and earns less than Lingard[this is prior to Dybala agreeing to his new contract],God Almighty.

Blacky-If United end up selling/moving on the likes of Rooney,Darmian,Young,Carrick,Shaw and Blind,I believe it would be a very good summer transfer window, with another 4 players coming in!.Just for the sake of argument:
Rooney-free to leave saves wages of app.£300k p/w!!!!.
Darmian-good enough for Serie A and worth between £8m-£10m!!!.
    Carrick-free,saves his wages of ca £100k-£120k p/w!!!
    Young-free,wages of £100k-£110k!!!.
    Blind-£10m-£15m!!!.
    Shaw-£15m-£20m,wages of ca £150k!!!.
Then the next January window sees the likes of Jones,Smalling,Valencia,Fellaini/Herrera go!.

jm1502 – wish you would grace this site without the foul language. Surely you can put together a decent post without the use of constant foul language. An occasional expletive is normal but not a constant stream. By the way, are you Pogba’s batman.?

olan – Rashford was excellent until he tired after doing all the running for Zlatan. You must have started watching at half-time.

No Big K, haven’t you heard, I’m actually banging Fellaini, or his missus, or both, or something along those lines. And unfortunately, wishes don’t come true mate.

I wouldn’t quibble with anybody putting Pogba down as man of the match last night…I knocked a point off for the way he stuttered when through on goal. Never looks set when it opens up for him and that’s a worry for someone who aims to become a worldie.

I’ve seen your shopping list but I’d add a centre back in place of one of your two midfielders. Think Bailly might come good and I rate Rojo higher than most as long as he’s not at left back but I’d hoof Smalling and Jones out the door right now. Long term we will need two centre midfielders but we can’t fill all the holes this summer, much as we’d like to. A lot will depend on what Woodwood can negotiate off of Madrid for de Gea…Kroos or Varane would be a decent bit of business.

Big K…apologies for the swearing, I know I’m guilty of it too it’s just my uncouth up bringing, I barely swear at all when I talk Portuguese!

I think you’re being optimistic about Rojo Tommy. Looks good til the game starts mate – an accident waiting to happen for me. And never apologise for swearing, it’s in your DNA like it is for me. If people don’t like it they should fuck off or scroll on.

All to play for in the second leg. Unfortunately I’m going to be abroad in Italy if anyone knows any decent places to watch the game or stream feel free to suggest but I will definitely be tuning in one way or another holiday or no holiday!

Last time a game conincided with a holiday was when aguerooooooo f ing prick ruined my whole f ing holiday stuck in Kuala Lumpur I couldn’t sleep that night the missus woke to find me holding onto the remote in a state of shock glued to the tv that was actually turned off.

Let’s hope next Thursday is a better moment.

jm105 it appears everybody has their shit players to ref but purely on that moment before the equaliser faalaniii as lvg would say was the culprit then come the rest for missing chances. But we still hold advantage.

Ha ha, fuck me united_we_win, you must be permanently on the edge of a nervous breakdown mate. Mind you, the Agueroooooooooo moment was fucking horrendous wherever you were. Don’t know where on Italy but most bars in decent sized city centres should show European games I’d have thought.
