Being a villa fan is an embarrassment!
The worst team in league doesnt bring a single player in?! Utterly digracefull..forget staying up we fans deserved a gift..a new player something to give us hope! Instead we get nothing. .we get players saying they want to join us but having to join Sunderland and Newcastle instead because we are wont pay money. .! Players turning us down had nothing to do with being bottom of league and everything to do with our penny pinching clueless board who are completely out of their depth! Im forever an optimist but now even im broken! An utter utter digrace! What is the strategy? What is the plan? There isnt one! Never has been and under Lerner never will !we also did not get rid of any dead wood , were still paying nzogbia £60k/wk for nothing .
i hope garde walks away now to show up our dreadful owners .
Completely dejected! I find my self asking what’s the point when the club appear not to be bothered yet expect peoples support and money to continue pouring in.
I for one would encourage Garde to walk away, go to the press and shame this shambles of a board. Sack the board – Lerner out and never darken the door to VP again.
This has got to the worst and most worrying time in the clubs history including the previous relegations.
Jordan Rhodes 9m – we should have snapped him up. Played along side Gestede, knows where the back of the net is would have scored in the premier league and an ideal player to have in place should we go down (when).
At the start of this window Kevin Nolan was without a club now he’s player manager at Orient. I bet he’d have loved another crack at the prem, strong battling midfielder with bags of experience….. ideal
I’ve supported Villa for 35+ years and this an all time low. I just can’t see any way forward with the likes of Lerner, Hollis, Fox etc in charge they all seem clueless and detached from the fans.

All good points.. I wont give up until its mathematically impossible, but agree with mnrtimus this the lowest point in our history.. getting relegated pre premier league wasn’t that big a deal. the money made no difference.. crowds were still the same,, there was no TV money.. its a very different story now.. when Southampton are paying Austin 100k a week and Stoke are paying £18mil for unproven midfielders then you know times they are a changing!
to add to your embarrassment last night on sky sports the commemtator said i bet all the football fans in brum prefer to go to birminghan city,thats how bad you ve got,all because your board wants to do things on the cheap and employ the wrong manager again ,then expect him to perform miracles when he dont understand english football.when you come down the revenue to the club drops (no tv deals),the value of the club plummets and the best players leave like rats from a sinking ship.want a good championship manager the lee clark looking for work probably will be the boards first choice
it was an English manager that assembled the current squad last summer.. maybe you have been listening to Nigel Farage too much but im not sure why you think Garde knows nothing about English football? he played for Arsenal for 3 years and won the premier league.. and to once again labour this point with you keom.. look at the Watford manager.. also look at Pochitino.. same arguments were thrown at him when he joined Southampton.. and they proved to be a load of tripe!
