You are either as thick as pig shit or too stubborn to admit you are wrong. As has been said, the BBC probably didn’t cut to the studio quick enough but that happened in many countries.

As for the worst fiasco in the history of the Championships, I reckon 1988 and the final in Munich was far worse. I was there selling T-Shirts and swag and there were running battles all day and night between Russian, Dutch and German hooligans that would have made Nero blush.

I would give it a rest if I were you fella, every time you post you make an even bigger dick of yourself.

It was Sean. I was a young pup at the time and me and my business partner (best mate who was in art school in London and as wet behind the ears as me) printed off a load of t-shirts, posters and badges to sell at the Euros which funded our interailing round Europe for the rest of the summer.

Anyway, it was fucking mental…and the final in Munich that day was a war zone with some pretty evil shit going on between the battling parties. Which makes me chuckle at Boring Bingo and Tedious Tom with their self righteousness….when anybody with any sense has agreed that England fans behaviour the other night was deplorable.

Are you such a big guy gas… you need to glorify the good old days of violence to make excuses for today…

And im not wrong about that… The BBC dramatised the moment… There is no excuse for doing that…

Neither is there an excuse for making fun at 10 year olds…

But considering that twats like Carra get employment with SKY after spitting on a kid it doesnt surprise me cause its the culture and you are making excuses for it…

They didnt cut in time… what a load of crap… it takes one second to push a button and they chose not to…

I am not glamorising it, I am giving you first hand experience that proves you wrong. Again. 1988 involved horrible, sickening violence…a lot of people got very badly hurt and it went on from morning until the next day. It was far far worse than the drunken yobs at Wembley last Sunday.

As for the Eriksen incident can you not just hold your hands up and admit you were wrong? I don’t even live in England, I don’t really give two shits. But here in Portugal they let the footage roll probably about as long as the BBC did and from reading the posts plenty of other nations did too. It is fair to say whoever was in charge should have cut sooner, but that is a sleight on a small team who made a bad editorial judgement, not a whole nation.

    You whopper.

Here in Germany they let it roll also. Its likely the team panicked a little and didn’t know what was going on or what to do. It was a balls up by many tv companies and whilst I am firmly on the English fans were a disgrace side of the argument you cannot use this against them. In fact Bingo it makes you look a bit of a wally and subsequently weakens any valid reasoning you may offer to the argument.

It’s the fact that he just ploughs on regardless which makes me laugh. Can’t take him seriously.

How he thought each nation sends their own camera’s to the euro matches is beyond me. And then carried on when it was pointed out it could not be practical to do that.

It doesnt matter if other countries were slow to push the button… this didnt happen in iceland… you can be sure as fuck that it did not happen in Scandinavia…

You just point the finger at someone else to make an excuse for yourselves…

They did it so i can be an asshole too…

Every last one you here is making excuses for violence… especially you gas… you are even glamourising the good old days…

Pointing the finger at everyone else that has misbehaved like it excuses the behaviour of your fans…

You start by pointing the finger at the italians, then you start talking about the good old days of violence…

Like that gives the english fans the right to stab people… cause the italians did it first…

    Excuse after an excuse…

There is not a single one of you that has condemned the violence… All you do is pointing the finger and making excuses…

    Absolutely pathetic

    Such an utter overt racist
The population of Iceland is only just higher than the number of fans at the British Grand Prix
You talk of your tiny nation like it’s significant in any way to use as a barometer
Other nations tv were slow as pointed out so your claim no other country in Europe was factually bullshit yet again

Bingo – It is likely people don’t feel the need to condemn it, due to the nature of your shoot first ask questions later approach. If you had been open to discussion about where we (the english football fans) go from here, how we do better, and make games a safe place for all to enjoy, you might have been able to do just that, have a well reasoned discussion. For me the Euro Final felt like several steps back for English Football, and is a shameful moment in our history that we simply have to learn from. I have my own personal views on why so many felt emboldened to act like complete jackasses and shame the nation. They do not reflect the majority of football fans or anyone on here for that matter imo, so you do need to reign it in a bit. I’m not sure why you always feel like you need to go war in every post, and attempt to score points.

I heard something about cocaine that the police want all users banned from matches
For me it was the perfect storm after over a year of lockdown
Good weather and the semi and final
Absolutely no excuse but I think that’s why so many went mad just as they have and will on “freedom day”
No true English fan condones any of it so no need to keep being the racist fucker you are

The only one I am pointing the finger at is you Bingo, you dumb dicky. Not the Italians or anybody else. What I have pointed out to you though is that football hooliganism is a massive problem in other countries…and that is undeniable. Last Sunday was so surprising because fighting at the match in England is so rare these days.

I also think you will find pretty much every contributor on this thread has condemned the violence but somehow you can’t see that.

I´m just driving through the point…! Condemning the violence, I don´t disrespect actually…

The team itself touched my heart, you may have played a bit dirty but there is no primadonna in that team, they are all fighting for each other…

Way better class than the so called golden generation, the way they bonded with the fans, opened up to a new generation of fans… Everyone was included up until the final, you had non binary people showing up fully dressed out in the open. These guys are educated role models, there is a lot of responsibility that comes with that, which can be easily exploited…

Football is for the fans and its the biggest party on earth, there is nothing bigger than the world cup… You got a billion people connecting together, thats what I find beautiful about the game…

I hate the party poopers, I know I go overboard <3

How much lag is there on live pictures these days?

I’ve not been at a live game in a while, but at most it’s about 15 seconds.

So bingo has dug himself in a bit of a hole here. And instead of acknowledging it, he’s doubled down lol.

So not only is he claiming without evidence that the counties he likes cut live streams of quicker. He’s claiming England television companies didn’t cut it off on purpose because they are English and English are morally corrupt.

Stupidest thing I’ve read here in a while. Thanks for the laugh bingo.

Of the 207 abusive racist posts aimed at England players after the Euro Final 123 came from outside the UK despite that let’s hope that those outside the UK are not immune from punishment too.
