Some good match ups particularly in the CL. Both Manchester Club’s to win Liverpool to get at least a draw and Spurs to beat Inter.

Will be in interesting game away in Paris, we beat them at our place with a late Firmino strike but PSG are a different beast on their own patch.

How come Liverpool look ordinary away from home, in the CL?

Might have been a different story if Virratti had got his deserved red card. Also why did the ref yellow card the two shirt pulls from Liverpool players but not the three shirt pulls from PSG players, one of which was already on a yellow.

Never watched the game, but I heard Virratti did a shocking tackle, but some fans are saying that Mane and Salah were diving all game, will take it at face value as I never watched the game.

that was a penalty all day long and not soft at all, the ref was atrocious and looked like he was paid by PSG, that and their awful antics made it a largely turgid game, but when the click they click, shame they dont concentrate on that side of things…. that said i thought Pool were poor for the most part….

Steveo – You summed the game up pretty spot on there, the ref was appalling, not sure what game Bingo was watching, couldn’t have been a more nailed on penalty, that said we were poor and both their goals were our own doing, I thought going forward we were terrible in the first halve, we were better second half although still not great.

Hats off to Tiago Silva. It’s a virtually impossible task, but he managed to hit the deck more often than Neymar.

Liverpool were poor last night and it highlighted their problems the midfield doesn’t currently look good enough to win the top trophies there’s no creativity which isn’t helping the front three who are a bit off form anyway.

They’ve also spent circa £100m on two midfield players who currently can’t get a game and neither of them are creative midfielders anyway.

Defensively Liverpool look strong but it will be tough to topple City with that midfield and bar the penalty no shots on goal v PSG will have been a worry for Klopp.

However despite the above Liverpool are still City’s most likely challenger and I’m sure they can do what needs to be done at Anfield v Napoli but if they finish in 2nd place in their CL Group that leaves them vulnerable to a tough CL draw.

Even that wouldn’t be the end of the world for Liverpool though if they could buy a creative midfield player in January although they will probably need to sell to buy and were to go out in the round of 16 if City were to go deep into the CL as seems likely it might give Liverpool a bit of an edge over City in the second half of the PL Season.

I fancied Liverpool for a domestic Cup this season and that’s still possible with the FA Cup but Klopp needs to start winning trophies soon he’s been at Anfield over three years now and as respected as he is by both owners and fans ultimately he will come under pressure if he doesn’t begin to start winning trophies sooner rather than later.

they do have creativity they left him on the bench…..but its a hard balance to find between defense and attack even when all on song, City are amazing but still lost and drawn in the CL under Pep….(this year)

Stevo, I don’t think anyone left on the Liverpool bench fits the description of being a creative midfield player. Arguably Keita might make a difference although he’s more box to box but currently he’s struggling to justify a start.

I believe Steveo was referring to Shaq, who has played midfield this season and is definitely creative.

Cameo player Pax and not good enough to play regularly for Liverpool and certainly not the answer to Liverpool’s midfield problems if he were Klopp would be selecting him!

Think Steveo has seen more than you 9, not just a cameo player he has been fantastic in the last few games which he started for us, just think Klopp prefers a more solid midfield against the tougher teams, so it is really a concious decision for the lack of creativity in midfield.

Not good enough imo mate to help Liverpool to win a PL title or the CL and none of the top 6 would buy Shaq from you if you put him up for sale.

Midfield and particularly creativity in midfield is area that Liverpool must improve if they are going to win the biggest trophies. Shaq wont do that for you imo and neither will Keita and Fabinho apart from the problem that they’re struggling to get a start neither are creative players.
