Even in the nineties when United were the dominant force in the city of Manchester, you would expect City to turn up for the Manchester derby and play with extra energy (most of the times anyway).
For a number of years now Everton have crumbled at the sight of their red neighbors. It doesn’t matter if Liverpool throw in a side of youngsters and fringe players. I bet Jurgen Klopp could go into any nursing home in Liverpool and round up a few elderly citizens and put them in a red shirt, they’d still beat Everton comfortably.
Liverpool have a lot of things they don’t need to worry about and when Guardiola, Arteta, Solskjaer, Mourinho, Lampard etc. all have difficult derby matches to think about, Klopp can always expect easy matches against their city rivals.

To be fair to Meverton, they did make things difficult for us last season.

After yesterday Ancelotti knows the size of the task at Everton they’ve been a stumbling giant for far to long now.

Ancelotti needs time and he won’t be able to fix Everton in the January window nor even in the Summer window either but he will attract players who previously might have not have considered going to Everton and with a bit of patience there’s every chance of Everton becoming a top 6/top 4 Club in time.

I think Ancelotti is a huge coup for Everton but unfortunately no Manager comes with a guarantee and as always time will be his judge.

I had Everton pinned down for the win yesterday considering the lineup that was expected from Liverpool…

In all honest truth it was Adrian who kept the reds in the game in the first half, without him we could have been 0-2 down at halftime but the reserves were excellent in the second half.

Played the best game of their lives, Harvey Elliot looks like he could walk into most of the teams in the league at the age of 16, the lad is a phenomena and it looked to me that Gomez can lead the defense as long as he has a experienced keeper with him. Lallana even looks like he is getting back to his best… The strength in depth in this Liverpool side is amazing, for example Dejan Lovren would walk into just about any side in the league, same goes for Matip and Gomez…

The kids played but the kids are alright over there mate, lets not take any credit away from them, they bossed the 2nd half and they were not afraid of getting another game, Everton on the other hand were not that bothered by the cup.
