The team I want to see on Monday night is: Ramsdale; Tomiyasu, White, Gabriel, Tierney; Lokonga, Maitland-Niles; Saka, Smith-Rowe, Martinelli, Lacazette. A team with energy and desire. It won’t be the team though because Arteta will dump Martinelli first chance he gets. He won’t leave Partey or Abameyang out even though they are our two poorest performers this season. It wouldn’t surprise me if he didn’t bring the club donkey back and play Xhaka. Can’t fathom out why Tierney is still on the bench, surely he plays against Everton. Benitez side are on the ropes, they’re awful even worse than Manc Utd, Arteta messed that match up, surely he won’t do it again. Team selection, tactics, attitude will again be key. Anything less than 3 points will not be acceptable.

Cant see him dropping Partey or Auba although if he did it would be deserved. Partey is not in great form but he is our best midfielder and Auba is our best forward. I would play Tierney just to give him a game. I do think Tavares has been very good and deserved to keep his place it will not be an issue if he plays again. I will be surprised if Martineli is dropped My team would be same back 5 with Tierney. Partey and Lokonga and Ode then Martinelli, Saka and Auba. ESR did not look fit at United and needs a rest. The back 5 is easy and as for the rest I am actually not that bothered what ever he goes with from there, not sure anyone can have any real complaints if they are dropped. Elneny was actually better that Partey on Monday so even he has a shout but just dont see the point as he has no future. Just need to bounce straight back. Everton are not in a great place but that usually means we will be the team to change that !!! Just a good solid performance and take the three points home

Agreed Stev, ESR looked shot on Thursday.I prefer him to Odegaard generally and can’t see both in the team at the same time excelling as one will then be invariably be shunted onto the wing, but for tonight Odegaard should play. Martinelli should stay left and Lacazette in for Aubameyang. Partey will stay as Arteta thinks he will come good, let’s see. Also, Tierney has to return. Oracle, like you I think last time AMN played in the centre a few weeks back, he did very well. To see the severely limited crab, Elneny being selected in front of him must have been a real kick in the teeth. Arteta has to take three points tonight if he has any credibility as a manager, but he’s already talking up Goodison as a difficult place to go. This means yet another conservative approach probably and the ball taking an eternity to arrive in the opposition box so everyone has time to regroup.

I have not bothered to watch us play for many weeks now and I have felt much better since then.

I have not stopped supporting them I just needed a break from it all. It was not all down to me I just decided it was not longer worth it paying £50 a month to watch.

As for todays game, Everton has been bad and are on a loosing streak which given Artetas giving nature in such a game will see them end that. 9 out 10 times we loose when we are up against teams like this. Mainly because they come out fighting and two we surrender.

Lets see what happens not that I will watch it maybe after new year i will go back.

Yes I did predict it. Partey & Donkey together does not fill me with hope. The rest of the team is OK, it will need to be.

just sitting hear laughing as as soon as I saw Xhaka all I thought of was you two kicking off! Really surprised they have thrown him in, surely a game in the stiffs first its not as if we are desperate. Just seems rushed and I am not sure why.
Just hope he is truly fit, as last year these two together was very good and often Xhaka was the better of the two. COYG!

Say what you like about Xhaka but the man is a machine. To recover from an injury like that and be back so quickly is impressive. When I saw the line up I wondered if Arteta was to also make a him captain but looks like Lacca has that.

Good to see Tierney back. We should win.

Yes he’s so good that the only team in the world who wanted him offered £10m! He’s so shit that our pedestrian football will be even slower. Captain – fatmop are you mad?

I am not saying I’d make him captain Jeff. I just though my Arteta might. I would like to have seen Tierney as captain myself.

More evidence that Mike Dean is a corrupt runt. How was that Godfrey kick in the face not a red card?

Might be in the lead but it’s a dire performance. Ponderous, one paced, predictable more back passes than forward. Odegaard clearly our most creative player but he isn’t receiving any help from Xhaka or Partey. Partey is dreadful. One more goal should do it but if we go ultra negative who knows.

Got to say totally agree that was one of worst performances I have seen from us for a long time. They are shocking and we are just as bad. We have absolutely no goal threat we are not even controlling the game. I will take a win but this is how i felt watching Emery ball. Terrible performances but somehow getting a result surely the second half cant be as bad. I just cant see what we were trying to do!

Everton couldn’t buy a win for love nor money yet they go and do us. How many records or results do we intend to break under Arteta. What an awful set of players to go alongside a shit rookie manager.

Where is the pattern of play? Why can’t anyone pass the ball for longer than one pass? Why isn’t anyone taking anyone on? It’s just seriously shit. Arteta out please this has gone on long enough, winning just papered over the cracks.

Absolutely pathetic.Yet another game that proves it’s 150m WASTED.

First half was nothing but a smash and grab.Undeserved lead form the first shot on target.
When you go ahead in the game, you have usually have 70% probability to win because you can control the type of game you want to play.
Against United, went ahead and lost.Today, again went ahead and lost. This proves this defence is nowhere near good enough to keep a clean sheet when it matters. It also proves that this team has a shite mentality.

Ben White is an absolute 50m waste of space. He is so so slow.Always backs off the strikers instead of putting in a tackle. How many times is it that he has been in that position where he was one on one and got done by the shot.I remember it was against palace now again today.Gray got the better of him.So did Richardson in the last moments of the game.
How are we ever going to recoup the investment on him??That is why I was against this signing.
An unproven player and yet this club thought it was a good idea to break the transfer record for a defender.

Tomiyasu?Another waste of space. How many times do I say it.The guy is not a right back.He offers nothing offensively but even defensively he has his moments of weakness.
    17m?Wasted.Nothing but a Panick buy.

On top of all that, it was just terrible management by Arteta all round.Everyone saw the way the game was going.Everton were going to score.Yet he thought to bring on Nketiah,a player who is leaving in the summer And missed a sitter as well.
Why not bring in El nenny to close the game.

I will also say -This playing out from the back tactic when you don’t have the players to implement it is an unhealthy obsession that is costing him. It’s just so boring to watch. We can’t beat the press. All we want to do is retain possession and pass it backwards.

I used a phrase before the season started – Arteta has shot himself in the foot with the players he’s recruited. And now he’s paying the price for it.
I predict he will be sacked at the end of the season. That’s the cost of investing in young, unproven players and given an obscene amount in transfer fees.
Ofcourse,Edu deserves to go before anyone else but that goes without saying.

The philosophy of this club to invest in Young and unproven talent has cost this club time and again. This time they’ve spent 150m on sub-par players who were never going to make an impact. If I could I’d take all this back and get personel in that actually knows how to recruit,

    Ben White – WASTE
    Tomiyasu – Waste Panic buy
Taveres – Overpriced and not giving in the returns
Lokonga – Below par from what I’ve seen and definitely a waste signing
Ramsdale – The only one I’ll approve. But 30m is not less and some games he’s had you expect that from him.

Go on then, invest more in Young unproven youth so that it comes back to Bite the club in the Arse

What a disgrace! That was shocking against a rank awful team. Where do we start tactics were shit we looked so disjointed. Midfield another shit show and the front three were anon! As much as Arteta deserves the shit he will get but he can not legislate for Nketia and Auba missing from two yards in two games, and Auba WTF was that at the end. This team just gives me no joy they don’t look happy and WTF has Pepe done ? The whole thing is fucked up and I have no idea where we are going or what we are supposed to be aiming for. Gutted this was nearly as bad as that Watford away game under Emery we have just been beaten by the worst team i have seen for a long time !

An out of his depth ‘manager’ who hasn’t got the faintest idea on management. On recruitment, player retention, ‘tactics”, team selection, substitutions this prat hasn’t got a clue. All he ever does is play sideways and backwards. Everton are shit but they more than deserved the win.I hate Arteta for what he has done to my club. We are with him for some time as why else would the owners give him £150m to spend on such shit. FO you wannabe manager, who wants this cretin to stay?

As soon as I saw the names Partey & Xhaka on the team sheet I knew what was going to happen. Both were utter shit, gave the ball away repeatedly, caught in possession endlessly, slow, negative and sluggish. I’ve been telling you Partey can’t cope with the PL since we signed him. Xhaka is just a donkey, a complete waste of space. We take the lead undeservedly and as usual Peps Cone Boy goes into his shell and makes not attempt to get forward just as he has in so many games. We were crap, Lacazette was just as bad as Abameyang, Nketiah showed more in a few minutes playing out of position than Lacazette put together have in the last 3 games. Only Odegaard showed anything going forward, the back4 were constantly attacked because Partey & Xhaka kept giving the ball away. This is one of the poorest performances I’ve seen in years and it’s down to the usual 3 prats, Arteta, Xhaka and Partey, all 3 have to go now.
