So fucking frustrating…but it could be worse Mourinho just lost 3-2 after being up 2-1 in the first half..so basically nothing has changed after Leicester and Chelsea dropping points

This was always going to be a tricky game and De Gea did us no favors by giving a goal away almost straight from the kick off. After all he’s done for this team, he’s been constant accident waiting to happen for a long time now. After that, we had a decent spell leading up to our goal but once Everton started flying into tackles the game got really scrappy. There was no flow and very little creativity from either side.

The wind probably didn’t help but neither team really got going and neither team deserved more than a point. Playing with 3 defense-minded central midfielders was questionable and we had absolutely no width with our full-backs extremely passive. Everton had the full-backs and wingers pinning them back as well as their 2 strikers constantly running the channels and as a result our defense was all over the shop.

Chelsea are doing their absolute best to fuck up that fourth place but we don’t have the quality or desire to capitalize on that. A win, here, would have been massive but, yet again, we come up short when it counts.

We got away with that one in the end. Maguire and Fernandes a step above the rest. McT will improve with match fitness. Fred looks like he needs to sit out the cup game. Maguire needs the pace of Bailly alongside him

What a shower of shite that was 2nd half, hardly put 3 passes together and posed absolutely zero threat until Ighalo nearly nicked it. Some terrible performances, Lindeloaf (as usual), Martial, Fred, McTominay and AWB in particular, and it was like we wanted to keep giving them corner after corner until they eventually scored from one.
It also has to be said that the referee was so fucking weak, giving yellow cards to our players every time the Scouse bastards shouted for one, even the disallowed goal at the end shouldn’t have happened because the useless twat had missed a corner for us instead of the goal kick that he gave to them, from which they launched the attack.

All in all, it’s two points dropped for me because Everton were there for the taking first half, but yet again the highest paid goalkeeper in world football committed yet another unforgivable howler that you wouldn’t see in a Sunday league game, it’s now got to the stage where he costs us far more points than he ever wins for us, and that is just unacceptable, irrespective of the save he made at the end.

Oh, I nearly forgot to mention Juan Mata’s ‘contribution’ from the bench. Absolutely horrific, and if he is your first option to come on and win you the game then you know 100% for sure you’ve got one hell of a shit bench.

Thought we were the better team. Should have won that, but got lucky in the end. Clearly offside but VAR can go either way.

Needed the three points but Spurs slipping up has helped a little.

Roy Keane on De Gea mistake: “I’d kill him. He takes way too long. What are you doing? These are huge moments for top 4. It’s a bit of arrogance to it. I would’ve lynched him at half time.”

Roy – Yeah I wasn’t sure about that midfield today, 3 defensive mids? Matic and Mctominay seemed to get in each other’s way most of the time. Don’t think it helped our formation trying to pack all of them in with Bruno. As a result we had no real width and that didn’t help Martial at all today.
Think we would have been better with James and Greenwood flanking Martial with Bruno just behind and then 2 of Matic, Fred or Mctominay.

But I thought Maguire was fabulous today. Reminded me of Vidic, winning everything in the air. MOTM.

happy, yeah Maguire got us out of trouble on several occasions but as a collective United (front to back) we defended poorly. De Gea’s howler certainly didn’t help our confidence and it’s come to a point where he’s causing more harm than not. Henderson might turn into another Ben Foster but I don’t see much harm in giving him a chance if we can cash in on De Gea.

Think that diamond may be a sign of things to come. With a view to getting both Bruno and Pogba in the same team. Definitely didn’t work in the second half

@n1xer – The problem with us playing a diamond formation and having McTominay, Fred and Matic making up 75% of it is that not one of them takes care of the football well enough when in possession, nor is their passing incisive enough to make up for the resultant lack of width, especially considering both our full backs provide next to no quality service into the opposition penalty box from one week to the next.
In fact mate, it’s not so much of a “diamond” at all, I’d say it’s more like an unpolished turd!😂😂

Hahahahah…agree Blacky mate. A lot of shite out there in the second half but i go back to what i’ve been saying recently, we’re playing without a forward line. Zero up top. Exactly what JM is saying there too. No one is making any proper runs or taking on and beating a man. Completely toothless. A top class right sided forward and striker are a must in the summer. Keane and Scholesy couldn’t do much with that shite in front of them. Worst forward line we’ve had in more than 30 years

And talking about the forward line, did anyone else have the impression that Fernandes wasn’t passing to Martial?

I was being a bit facetious there!!😂😂 No question that Martial stunk it yet again today. Fact is, he is a sheep in sheep’s clothing when you talk about the truly elite strikers elsewhere, and it will ever be so. He flatters to deceive, and has far more games like today than he ever should do because the 6 inches between the ears are a real problem with him.
If you are generally indifferent to something, then it’s not going to exactly keep you awake at night when it all goes wrong, simple as that.

Mad how shit we are yet still probably the in-form team outside livercunts and shitty.

    #1831325

Not a bad result at all to be honest – Everton have been very strong under Ancelotti and have been a bit of a bogey team for us recently.

Considering De Gea’s mistake early on, it’s at least refreshing that the players didn’t capitulate and get thrashed like last year – is the mentality changing?

Also, can’t believe we didn’t go Bruno in the summer and no other big club came in for him – he’s such a classy player! So glad he’s keeping Lingard out of the team

@happy – It’s actually not “mad” matey, it’s not even close to being true!!. In terms of PL form over the last 5 matches there are several teams who have gained more points than us, ie Burnley, Spurs and Arsenal, and several others who have gained the same number of 8 points, ie Everton, Sheff Utd and Wolves.
Never let the truth get in the way of a good story eh?!😂😂😂😂😂
