I have watched Southampton recently against both Everton and Newcastle, and to say that they are a far superior ‘team’ to us is a total understatement. Every single one of their players works their tail off, and it’s obvious that they are buying in to what the manager is asking them to do and carrying it off to the very best level they can, given the fact that they have not got the most talented squad, which will no doubt catch up with them in the end. I also doubt that the wage bill for their entire team is bigger than just DDG and Pogba’s combined, that’s criminal.
November 7, 2020 at 10:40 am #1890874@happy – Why is what @mufc said pathetic? Given that you’ve already now acknowledged that Ole just has to go now for the long term benefit of the club, what would the point be of him limping along from week to week with the sword of Damocles hovering over his head just because we manage to win a game every now and again?
Surely, the short term ‘pain’ of a defeat today would be completely insignificant when measured against the bigger picture?November 7, 2020 at 11:10 am #1890890Exactly, we have to keep losing in order for him to go. Also losing money will piss them off more. This is why I feel we need to go out of the CL group stages, so the pricks get hit in the pocket.
November 7, 2020 at 11:16 am #1890891@mufc – In a perfect world we could win today and Ole still gets shown the door because the decision had already been made, but we all know that’s not how it goes under prize prick Woodward. Being proactive and realising something is rotten to the core and taking decisive action before we are engulfed in yet another crisis just doesn’t enter into his thick skull, simple as that.
November 7, 2020 at 11:32 am #1890898Lindelof and Mata start. Greenwood not even on the bench 😡
November 7, 2020 at 11:39 am #1890899I want the Ole experiment to end.
S’hampton looked a much better team than us at OT at the end of last season.
Ole cheerleaders on here were saying our players were simply too tired on the day. The rest of us said it was because they were a team that was v well coached, tactically spot on and players executing to near perfection.
We know who was right.November 7, 2020 at 11:39 am #1890900Fucking shite team. Only reason he is playing Mata is because he thinks he’ll put a shift in for him after a shocker midweek. Absolutely pathetic way of managing. He should be able to get a tune out of every player in the squad. If they are all a great bunch of lads like he says why not just put out your best team? Surely DVB can play anywhere Mata can and is far more mobile?
I’ll never stop watching them play but fuck me this is as apathetic as i’ve felt about the club since the 80’s.
November 7, 2020 at 11:49 am #1890906De Gea, Wan-Bissaka, Lindelof, Maguire, Shaw, McTominay, Fred, Mata, Fernandes, Rashford, Martial.
November 7, 2020 at 11:50 am #1890907How on earth can you pick Mata after that performance on Wed? Teams should be picked om merit and that is just not happening under Ole. As a minimum, the manager has to have respect from his players but how can you respect these team selections? Bruno is becoming the new Pogba, no matter how poor he’s been he is still getting picked every week. And then there’s Lindeloaf!
November 7, 2020 at 12:12 pm #1890914@Yorkshire – But this is what he does mate, performances don’t seem to matter half the time, it’s all about his favourites, irrespective of how fucking shite they play. I’m slightly surprised he didn’t go back to Dan James, never mind grandad Mata!!
November 7, 2020 at 12:31 pm #1890920Blacky – I’d never want United to lose a game of football, ever. Whatever happens to Ole and the coaches will happen, they’ll either turn it around and keep their jobs or they won’t and they’ll all be sacked. But on matchday you’ve got to want the team to win.
Imagine actually wanting Everton to win, come on!Seems Ole’s answer to a shit team performance is to drop Pogba – in fairness i suppose he knows the players on the pitch will at least run after the ball!
November 7, 2020 at 12:31 pm #1890921Hahaha Mata? I have starting to think Bruno has catched the United syndrome.
November 7, 2020 at 12:39 pm #1890922A good coach improves players. A poor coach limits and/or weakens players.
November 7, 2020 at 12:43 pm #1890925We’re a yard short in every passage of play. The pressing is a fucking joke. So easy to play around. Martial strolling around per normal
November 7, 2020 at 12:45 pm #1890926@happy – You should want what’s best for the club long term, not just a bit of relief and a warm cuddly feeling at winning one particular game. I do hope we win, but only if that means he still gets shown the door afterwards, realistically that’s not going to happen is it?
November 7, 2020 at 12:51 pm #1890928Lindelof and AWB schoolboy stuff that
November 7, 2020 at 12:53 pm #1890930And 350k per week DDG goes down in instalments!😂😂
November 7, 2020 at 12:58 pm #1890932What a great header, don’t know whether to laugh or cryl😂😂
November 7, 2020 at 12:59 pm #1890934I’m watching it on Spanish TV mate and they are talking about Spanish John like he’s Maradonna in his pomp. Fucking painful. Lindelof and AWB having a shocker
November 7, 2020 at 12:59 pm #1890935Lindelof having a v poor day AGAIN.
