At least Matip’s back, hope he remains injury-freeOctober 17, 2020 at 8:42 pm #1884765
We know that.
But hopefully he lasts until Jan…..and I’m even doubtful about that.October 18, 2020 at 1:08 am #1884859
Pickford has always been a total fuckwit of a keeper and high on my list of most disliked players. Interestingly, it was another Everton keeper (Myhre) that took out Robbie Fowler resulting in an ACL injury which effectively ended his career at the level it had been before the injury.
I’ve studied the VAR image extensively and I can’t for the life of me work out which part of Mane’s body is supposed to be offside. Mina’s foot is touching the VAR line but the only part of Mane that is anywhere near adjacent to the line is his elbow, which clearly shouldn’t count.
There’s nothing intrinsically wrong with VAR, just that it’s run by a bunch of fuckwits too!October 18, 2020 at 2:06 am #1884861
Those who work behind the VAR screen they need to go back to school. Hired a bunch of noob, waste of space. I wonder how to they qualified to sit in front of that screen? FA should check is this ref has been bribe/match fix.October 18, 2020 at 4:16 am #1884866
As if whining about bad decisions would make any difference about the final outcome of the game. Instead we should be looking at ourselves and see what we can change to improve. But let’s skip that because according to some fans on here sitting on their high horse wearing red stinted glasses, there is nothing wrong with the team and they are having a rough patch. Something that was evidently noticeable since late last season. Whiner like me who thinks otherwise felt that more can be done from the team but is constantly being mocked and ridiculed for being a “perfectionist”. Continue to ignore the problems (e.g. mentality, motivation…) and pretend all is good and believe the narrative that the team is just having an/several off days. A problem is only a problem if you choose to see it as one.October 18, 2020 at 8:08 am #1884879
Who believes that it was great mistake not to spend money for a good CB and to rely only to VVD??
FSG refusal to spend is the reason..
We have only 2 CBs one injury prone and one who lost his opponenet yesterday and we conceded the 2nd goal.
Fab must play as a CB and the mistakea will be paid, yankees…October 18, 2020 at 8:15 am #1884880
The ref of yesterday game and VAR officials were completely INADEQUATE!!October 18, 2020 at 8:20 am #1884882
“This city has two great teams – Liverpool and Liverpool reserves.”
If Everton were playing at the bottom of the garden, I’d pull the curtainsOctober 18, 2020 at 9:24 am #1884905
I didn’t see anything wrong with yesterday’s mentality or motivation.
What I saw was shocking officiating which robbed the team of a deserved three points and those decisions are worthy of being discussed on this forum.October 18, 2020 at 9:25 am #1884907

Garydos, no point moaning about the decisions but it was a terrible call. I certainly don’t agree about lack of motivation yday. We were well up for it and created loads of chances. Henderson was immense. Thiago was special. Matip was excellent for his 1st game in a while
We have problems alright. Taa is out of form. Alisin is injured and it’s looks like vvd gone for a while. Adrian is like having mignonlet in goal. Bobby is not playing well at all
We are conceding far to many goals but we have had a tough start to the season. Nothing really is going for us in the last two games but we have played chelsea, arsenal and Everton.
People really expect us to get 97/99 points again? Football is so bizarre at the minute without fans. Crazy games . I’m
Really not expecting to much tvis season but I’m still really enjoying watching us play and the fight is there
Really hope Thiago is ok. What a player. Vvd is such a huge lossOctober 18, 2020 at 9:27 am #1884908

Ye spit on sir roger chum. We were well up for itOctober 18, 2020 at 9:32 am #1884915October 18, 2020 at 9:35 am #1884917
Bobby is not a goalscorer!!
Nobody expected to win the title with 100 points.
VVD’s gap can not be covered…
We did the same mistake with Pep. He didnot replace Kompany and let the tram only with one realiable CB, Laporte.
The difference is that Arabs spend money but the yankees not!!
This will cost us…October 18, 2020 at 9:49 am #1884921
A view from a City fan guys, VAR last year picked up everything and I mean everything this year it doesn’t seem the same to me, outside offsides that is. Quite how Pickford wasn’t sent off is beyond me, can’t see how the prem can let this go because if they do they are showing everyone how useless they are. I wouldn’t be surprised if there was an investigation and further bans for Pickford. As you can imagine I’m no Liverpool liker but my god that was an evil challenge and it wasn’t clumsy, it was meant 100%, watch his face and you can see his intent, nasty little shit.
Seems like he has done his ligament in, not good. We lost our world class CH Laporte last year for 6 months and we simply couldn’t recover, it was too much and if he’s out I think you guys will hugely struggle like we did.
On the offside, I’m afraid VAR has ruined football. Everyone wants the 6 inch and more offsides picked up or indeed where before people were ruled offside and they were clearly on BUT looking at millimetres is a joke and farcical. We suffered loads last year with decisions that were quite simply against the fun of the sport, sterling ruled offside against Bournemouth my 1.5 millimetres , honestly behave yourself ffs.October 18, 2020 at 11:57 am #1884961
I’m pretty sure pickford’s tackle was deliberate and he intended to injure VVD. Watching the incident again and again, this is not typical and far too heavy for a goalkeeper’s save in penalty area.
Also my concern is that in this moment Pool players were simply not vocal enough to press the referee, unlike everton players who did that several times.October 18, 2020 at 12:25 pm #1884972
No point of numerous fans moaning.
Time for Nat Phillips and Rhys Williams to step up, they won’t get a better chanceOctober 18, 2020 at 12:37 pm #1884973
What really twists the knife about the late disallowed goal (which I’m still convinced was onside) is that it didn’t just deprive us of 3 well deserved points, but it also allowed Pickford to have had a ‘successful’ game. There would have been a modicum of satisfaction gained from his error resulting in a 3 point swing towards us…..but now it’s ended up with him suffering no consequences from either of his assault on VVD and a crap attempt at a save.October 18, 2020 at 12:56 pm #1884980
Forgot to add, Koumetio is also in the mix, at least for the easier FA Cup games, or coming on when a game is won.
Time to forgot about this nightmare of a game, and focus fully on winning 3 points in both games next weekOctober 18, 2020 at 1:54 pm #1884991
I can’t remember what you said last season about the form of the team garydos.
But you’re reaching here.
Everton is a good outfit this season, and we completely dominated them.
If we’d been playing by the proper rules of the game, we’d have won, no doubt.
Third world refereeing cost us the game.October 18, 2020 at 2:54 pm #1885003
Goatistuta: So tell us did you think Mane was offside before asking us to behave. Even Leon Osman an ex Evertonian thought Mane was onside, so did Keith Hackett.
