Sean, interesting that you are saying you expect Sturridge to start Wednesday. I hope you’re wrong but I wouldn’t completely rule out the possibility. I think Origi is more likely but Sturridge did have that lovely shift of his feet that nearly set him up for a shot, if you guys remember. He dribbled it a bit too much though, as the shot wasn’t there I guess. It was a nice effort though.

It’s the next day here though and having calmed down from that result, I still want to see Origi start for us at the top of a 4231. I guess we should start the thread.

I would start with Sturridge on Wed, simple as that, Origi can come on later

Origi was playing way better just before his injury, Klopp stressed on that, not that I had forgotten how good a first touch he had and made some good runs from midfield across the by line on numerous occasions showing strength and good technique prior to the hacking job done by funes mori.

As for yesterday’s performance not trying to downplay what Everton did on the pitch but when two teams meet in such circumstances the one which had no commitment in mid week will have a definite advantage in terms of freshness, and this also applies to unused subs such as Fabinho because factor in travel, sleep disruptions and we get a team at 80% capacity. Make that 70% when we consider they faced mega rich PSG away.

Reading some comments you would think we lost?
I could watch Klopp running on to the field to hug Alison all day! Brilliant!

36 points from 14 games only 5 goals conceded. 5 points clear of 2nd. 14 points clear of you know who. Not BAD!

Over the summer i was a bit sceptical on buying a big money keeper but at the same time i watched de Gea keep his team in the game over & over again. In the last two games Alison has done just that & so far for me he is the our stand out buy of the summer.

Apparently Fabinho’s 6 ball winning tackles was more than any other player.
