Proud of the lads and feel that with our captain and Soare in the team we would have won easy. Benteke goal was brilliant but I found him quite static, without pace and nobody to feed to. Gayle might have done but just scores hat tricks for Newcastle now. We were a little bit the samey in attack and teams will see this but if well done will be hard to counter just as the Vardie tactics were last year for Leicester. First real look at Mandanda who I found a little bit slow at coming out. Cabaye can be sold with Hennessey as Jabbs suggested in another article. When I think back to 1948 playing a team in mauve/Maroon? think it might have been Northampton, Smogs, one stand, yellow lights and broken concrete terraces. Wow have my team come on and I feel permanently. Whatever mistakes Parish and co make and you disagree with they have made such a change. Now I want to see the plans for the new stands. Now lads shoot me down.
Not going to shoot you down, but I do think Benteke is just what we need… when the ball was played up to him, on most occasions he held the ball and got it away to a team member.. something we failed at so much last season… we used to get the ball up to the front man and the attack often died at that point… so for me, benteke is the perfect acquisition. We actually won the game against Everton, just poor ref cost us two points… that was an excellent everton team we went up against and I was afraid we’d get blown away… but instead, we held them off, then we set about taking the game to them… I actually think we were the better team so I am very encouraged by what I saw. Cabaye is just not up to it at the momrnt and if he continues, we should look to recoup some of the money we laid out. What I like is that we can be a counter attacking team but also an attacking team, that’s a new dimension added to our game…

he doesnt just hit the target , it also out of the keepers reach ..
he can also score astonishing goals with his feet .
you should finish in top 6 with him .
