    I suspected that alcohol must have had an undue influence on your decision making mate!. The big problem with giving Woodward and Mourinho anymore money to waste is their collective abject failure to bring in one single transfer so far that has been anything close to a consistent success.
    Woodward’s transfer failures go back even further, paying 4.5m over Fellaini’s original buyout clause and then paying 37m for Juan Mata alone should have seen him relieved of all transfer duties within his first 6 months in the job, and if anything it’s got even worse since then.

    Lol @blacky, I don’t know if it’s just me but I can never be objective when it comes to United, for me, it doesn’t matter who plays as long as they are wearing that jersey with the United logo, that’s all it takes, of course sometimes I’ll criticise sometimes out of anger I say things I don’t actually mean but at the end of that day I ALWAYS look forward to the next game, so when it comes to predicting I’m 100% optimistic we’ll get all 3 points, I wouldn’t even predict a draw even we were to start the match with 9 players

    is it a bit chicken and egg though?
    you have had some players like Sanchez that you knew could play and work and do so in the PL, the fact it hasnt worked out is down to the other players and the manager, same could be said with pogba….so if you go spend some more money on a decnt player it wont work unless the manager chnages AND other better players are also brought in?

    @steveo – I would not trust Mourinho or Woodward to spend one more single penny as they are both be on borrowed time in their jobs, please god!.
    We are not going to get a top 4 place either way (a bit like Arsenal!) so what’s the point of taking yet another expensive risk chasing a non attainable target?.
    I’d far rather we keep our powder dry until next summer and see where we stand then.

    @blacky

    thats my point mate, you need whole sale changes, you could get a messi AND ronaldo, yes you will do better but not as well as you SHOULD, to kick on you need more than one or two top lads due to the underibvestment initially and then they need to play in the right formation under the right manager with the right eothos….change manager, nothing will change, bring in one or two “stars” nothing will change you need all of it together or patience with a board that understands this and has a plan

    @steveo – Agreed mate, I heard Danny Higginbotham on SKY this morning saying that it’s going to be at least a 5 year job for United to get back to the top and I can’t disagree with him.
    He’s a big red and doesn’t say anything just for effect like most of these ex players in the media do just get their names in the press. That’s why I would be more than happy for someone like Eddie Howe to be the head coach working under a DOF with a long term vision and at least a 5 year plan.

    blacky…what on earth makes you think Woodward might be for the chop? Share price is at an all time high and he is making sacks full of gold for the parasites. He’s going nowhere.

    Best we can hope is that his ego might be managed in to staying slightly further away from the football side and sticking to being the king of all new global partnerships. He wouldn’t have to take a pay cut, he’d just stick to what he is excellent at. His work behind Mourinho’s back this summer was utter treachery and i’d kiss his pudgy little privileged face all the way back to Essex.

    @Tommy – If a DOF comes in Woodward’s role on the football side will be practically non existent regards player purchases, sales and contracts. He can go back to finding our next big roll sponsor.
    I wasn’t suggesting he was going to be sacked altogether, although if you look at the job he has done as Chief Executive and the vast amounts of money that he has committed the club to ultimately waste he sure as fuck deserves to be!.

    We think that…but for all the money that has been wasted he’s made it back for the parasites ten times over. I think with Woodward’s ego, we’ll see any DoF answering to him and that grotesque board I put a link up to the other day.

    He loves the status it brings him.

    A DoF would have free rein to do anything he wanted just so long as it doesn’t cost money. The moment it does we’re back to Ed and the Glazers.

    @steveosnakeeyes – good post and yes that’s the problem. Put a good apple in a barrel of bad apples and before long it’s bad as well. The problem traces back to Fergie. The squad he left had nobody who could become the dressing room leaders in the future. Vidic, Evra, Rio, Giggs were leaving and Carrick Rooney were hardly leaders or likely to instill the right spirit in others.
