Should be an awesome game. Packed house (every ticket sold), return of Distain, Ritchie and Howe (all ex-hero’s so should get a good reception), and no pressure as no-one will expect us to win. More this time tomorrow 🙂

You got it right Richard, it was a fine advert for Portsmouth and the type of football Paul Cook is serving up and we are enjoying this season. Sadly the run is over but the build up to and execution of gary Robert’s goal was exquistite.

I knew on 61 minutes our time had come we were being forced back and Howe’s smart substitutions sunk the brave ship Pompey. Now we have to get back to the main job and push on for promotion

Hi Chris (and anyone else who might stumble over this). Yes it was a great game. We played really well in the first half and fully deserved to go in 1-0 up at HT. Second half Bournemouth stepped up a gear and of course their subs were a class apart. Distin got a great reception, and at the end of the match the whole ground rose to applaud. No disgrace in defeat even though Bournemouth had many reserves in their team (if you can call for example Distin a reserve). We might just have deserved a draw, but hopefully this will give us confidence for the push for promotion play-offs (can’t see us getting an automatic place).
