    For anybody still interested lol.

If Amad doesn’t start this game and Antony or Forson do, then I’d tell ETH that he will leave at the end of the season.

Should we go for this with the City game next weekend? Or just play some youngsters?

Go for it, because we haven’t a hope in the league.

Best hope of European football at this stage is to win a cup.

    #2280169

@killyboye – bar the financial benefits, there’s really no point to going to Europe because we have no chance of winning anything with this group of fraudsters. Unless Ratcliffe and his new group of personnel perform miracles (given that we’re in the shit with FFP) then I expect to have a similar level of trash next year.

I foresee a massive clearout this summer, I don’t think many of the players around the first team will go unless we get offers although there is talk that the Saudi League want Casemiro, Varane and Bruno. I think we’re stuck with McT and Maguire although I’d be happy for McT to stay around and be a squad player (he’s proven to be a good impact sub) but he shouldn’t be anywhere near a starting berth.
I think a lot of the loan of players will gone. Pellestri, Donny van de Fake will definitely be shipped out regardless of the financial hit.

Don’t forget Martial is leaving too. Romano says we will definitely sign an experienced striker. I think he’ll offload Varane, Maguire and AWB as well.
Eriksen doesn’t seem to up to the standard anymore either and i believe his contract is up?
I think there will be a lot of movement. Probably up to 10 players in and out.

Ten players out, I’d happily play the kids next year and miss out on Europe in order to overcome FFP.

    #2280293

lol you guys have been playing too much Football Manager if you think we’re gonna ship and bring in 10 players in one window… these things take time and we can’t expect more than about 6 outgoings and maybe, at the very max with the FFP issues we have, 5 players will come in – and at least one of those will probably be a minor transfer (5th choice CM or CB sort of thing).

Lets look, we’re definitely losing Martial, Varane and Eriksen who are all out of contract. I think we’ll have takers for Pellestri. That’s four. We’ll probably get offers for Casemiro, five. We’ll look to shift on Maguire and given that he’s, in the main, played well this season, he’ll probably have raised some interest too. That’s a potential six. There’s a few other youngsters on loan as well who probably won’t make the grade so we’ll look to sell. Hannibal is one. Sancho if we can manage it will definitely go it just depends on how big a hit we’re looking to take. Alvaro and Williams will probably leave. It won’t necessarily be 10 first team players gone but we should be able to move on 10 players. I wouldn’t expect to be seeing 10 players in though. 4-5 at most, we agree there. A ‘senior’ striker to take the pressure of Hojlund even though he’s doing well at the moment. By senior, we should be looking at a 28-29 year old on a 2-3 year contract at most with a modest wage and large performance related bonuses, like Michael Owen was on.

Eriksen still has a year left, but I reckon he will be released either way. Speaking of the game, I see a few more rats are deserting the sinking ship with the news that Slabhead is definitely out with Fernandes and Varane both doubtful. Bearing in mind what’s coming up on Sunday it would not surprise me one tiny bit if there’s fuck all wrong with any of them, especially Fernandes after the stroke he pulled to miss the trip to Anfield.

I thought Eriksen signed on a two year contract? That would mean he’s out of contract this season. Was he really given a three year contract? With his medical history? Holy fuck, the imbecility gets worse and worse.

I thought Eriksen was a 1-year contract and then we renewed for another year in the summer?
Anyway, I meant 10 players in and out. So 5 each way. But as Killy says there’s probably a lot more than 5 leaving this summer.
Don’t forget the likes of Donny Van De Bench. Plus, whilst he has been decent when called upon, it must be the end of the Jonny Evans joke this summer?

One of the most disappointing signings has to be Amarabat, I know he’s only on loan but still. And the cunt went on strike to force the move didn’t he?? Ha ha ha, needn’t have bothered mate! Happy returns!! 😂😂😂

Nope, we gave a guy who was clearly way past his best and who had actually ‘died’ on a football field a 3 year deal at 150k per week! Another great piece of business by Ten Bob and Murtough.

Rubbish XI. Not one left footed defender

    Onana
    Dalot, Varane, Lindelof, Amrabat
    McT, Casemiro
    Antony, Bruno, Garnacho
    Rashford

Will be a close game… and if we manage to win, we got Liverpool in the next round. Fun times 🙃

Got a feeling our back 4 won’t be able to deal with their front 3. Can also imagine Gibbs-White having acres of space between lines… could be a high scoring game

A coach and horses through our midfield as usual, which means a make shift back four constantly under pressure. And as for that cunt Rashford…
