Agreed. Hope everyone and their family is safe and well. It’s all a bit weird but I’ve kind of forgotten about football probably because it’s unclear when the next football is going to be kicked.

when people say there is more important things than football they are right, but lets be honeest without we are lost, its our religion. Imagine being religious and having no churches or synagogs or anywhere to pray.

keep safe everyone, and if you go out make sure you dont get caught 🙂

On another note how weird is it going to be when (if) this season starts again. we looking at Late May eearly June by sounds of it but it will be for just 10 games, alot of teams and players will be in motions of just trying to get through it rather than really going for it. The following season would be just around the corner, players would avoid injury to start the next.

What would you all prefer, can the season now take last season standings as the Europe qualifications or would you rather play rest of this season in June and delay start of next one?

I’ve gotten used to no football now so happy to see it canned and start fresh. it would also be amazing to see liverpool not win it this year, that would be magic and hilarious for all my annoying liverpool mates

Andy C – id rather see the season scrapped, what Gooner wouldn’t, but I don’t think it will, as they’d be so many complications and certain clubs would sue the FA.

Everything is uncertain and it depends how long this situation will go on for, but I think there has to be some way to finish it. I am not sure whether the European leagues will play next year.but I’d love to have the football back. If if it had to be played behind closed doors to start with so be it.

Of course there are things more important than football, but I miss it immensely.

looks as though Xhaka is stying beyond this season now. He just put an offer on one the houses my step father’s company has built and its not type of house you buy to rent!

Anoyingly he said the arsenal captain at first so got excited then he said he was from Austria (He knows next to nothing about football) then said people threatened his family etc etc you can imagine my disappointment at the end of that discussion once i realised he actually meant Xhaka.

probably just ruined shifters day with that one.

No- completely ruined mine now. Xhaka is a joke and is not a Premiership player. As long as we have this slow- coach half-witted, liability of a sloth in the team, we will stand still. Mustafi, Mhiki and him have to go as they are useless and we will get some money for all three, maybe enough to buy Partey. Much as Arteta has effected some improvements since taking over, his blind allegiance to dross such as Xhaka and Mustafi makes you wonder about his mentality. What’s he trying to do by “persuading” crap players to stay?

his hands were tied with playing mustafi and im in agreement on Xhaka he is not suited to the prem but Arteta has got alot more out of him in a couple of months than what wenger and unai got out of him in the whole time they had him.

either way he looks set to stay but things can change very quickly in football.

Why were his hands tied in playing one of the worst defenders we’ve ever had on our books? Says a lot for our reserves that not one central defender has come through recently that we have to rely on Mustafi?!
Instead of persuading shit players to stay what about putting more effort to upgrade Saka’s wages before he leaves? The mentality of this club stinks…

you’ve answered your own question Jeff 🙂 no one else was fit and none of the youth players were deemed good enough to step in. he only played like 3 or 4 games whilst we had a load of injuries. Sometimes you have to make do with what you got and Arteta has unfortunately been left with a lot of those.

no Andy that’s my point. You say none of the youths were deemed good enough to step in. That has been a philosophy at AFC for a very long time. I cannot believe there was anyone worse than that cretin Mustafi on our books. That went for Wenger as well as he preferred crap like Cygan, Squillaci and Silvestre to anyone in the reserves. Saka has shown he’s good enough. Liverpool kicked out established stars and took a chance with Alexander- Arnold and Gomez and look where they are now!
