Its not the Deloitte report but this is accurate enough though, huge news and the implications are even bigger for us because we are on a projection to surpass United, the club has risen 88% in value to 4.1 billion… With United at 4.2 billion

This is calculated with the recent redbird investment as with the Glaziers cashing in on some stock as well…

Furthermore United are currently losing 4-5 million a game right now, I think its safe to say that we have found the capitol to deal with our losses in the pandemic, while United are yet to have found a way for themselves so in a matter of a season or so we will be the highest valued club in England unless City take the title… They are just behind us at 4 billion…

This is the first time since the Premier League format was taken up that we have matched United, its huge news… It basically means that we could find the funds for Mbappe or Haaland… We could shuffle the books enough to raise the funds

No one can argue that FSG have got that part of the club in the best shape in forever. One thing you failed to mention United had the biggest operating income ($167m/£121m) of the top 20 during the 2019-20 season, and made $643m (£468m) in revenue. We are do doubt catching up but sucsess on the pitch must match.

We need to regroup and have another go next season, that way we will take the number one spot but it makes me wonder more about whether we can actually buy Mbappe or not… The money needed for his transfer is there as our debts are so low compared to United, Barcelona and Real Madrid…

A transfer like that could help us in gaining the number one spot, just the added transfer value of Mbappe on a long term contract would be enough for that to happen and our marketability would go up as well…

I reckon a five year contract with him would be worth around 300-350 million, not that any team would be able to afford that but it would be his price tag, it would be the value he would add to the club books…

I guess there is a small chance that we will still go through to the next round of the CL but what is a certainty is that Utd will finish in the top 4 and have CL revenue next season, with higher PL money etc. We’re almost certainly out of it now and next season’s participation is far from certain.

Our time of catching them is (seemingly) over though, for now at least. They will pull ahead of us again by the time this year or 2 is out. It’s a real shame too because we only needed 1 more season of being better than them to achieve it. There’s no doubting that our gains of recent years have been absolutely incredible though. Many fans go on about how they don’t care about the financial side of the game but will then on the other hand demand transfers. You have to care about these things as they secure your clubs future and our performance on and off the pitch have been remarkable.
