Well, today has been no different from the rest of the season.
2.Missing easy changes to kill off a game
3. Sucker punch late goal allowing no time to turn it around.
And that sums up our season…. So if we go down, then after today’s performance we deserve it… We created enough changes to bury Bournemouth and just didn’t take them, we must have the worst conversion rate in the prem and I don’t even need to look it up, I know it… when we were 2-1 up, we were trying to sit back with 10 mins to go.. we already know how that plays out because we gift wrap a late goal for every team we play… It’s depressing….
I’ve said all along we will stay up but we must invest in 2 goal scoring strikers ,small and quick from no matter where. We have 3 big ones who if not perfectly fit at the beginning of next season must be disposed of. We can’t keep carrying dead wood. A new goalie to challenge Hennessy. It also bothers me that Sakao has had 3 poor matches.
We have wasted too many chances to win games this season. If we had a half decent centre forward we would be safe. I dont understand why we dont learn about conceding goals. If Southampton win a game we are back in the relegation places. We will deserve to go down imo as we are unable to get over the finishing line in games we should have won…. a shame but we are now relying on other results which is not a good thing !!
Just looked at the 20 minutes of highlights and still feel frustrated that we could not hold on for the 3 points. I had predicted this to be a draw but feel more like having lost.
Still, we created enough chances and two top drawer goals from Luka and Zaha was encouraging.
The good thing this Saturday is Stoke loosing, Brighton and Huddersfield drew and WBA managed to stop Swansea from winning. West Ham and Southampton loosing today will make up for a good weekend after all. Next week is going to be very important and being an optimist I think we will punish Brighton with a 3-0 scoreline.
