Well, there we go, another prem season on the way.. I think Roy is the best manager we have had since Steve Coppell. We only had a bad run when we had 11 players injured… outside those heavy injuries we were hot, and a few decent additions if we can avoid such an injury disaster next year, I genuinely think we can finally start doing what i think we are capable of.
We lost against those top six teams mainly by fine margins, I think we could have won a few of those had we had a half decent squad to field… Very happy with the team, the manager and the board..
Jabbs agree happy days and and even happier few months without the stress of staying up until 1am watching a game go against you in the last few minutes. I do have to disagree about Hodgson being the best since Coppell, Roy united us and gave the players belief but I am still not convinced about him for a few reasons. Firstly as I have stated before no Zaha no points, secondly Roy had the team their which was the pickings of previous managers namely Sam and Pardew, thirdly he is predictable doesn’t make many moves to change things around and doesn’t give up and coming young players any opportunities (Wan- Bissaka was only there by default). I could elaborate but no need. On the positives I still believe Roy is a good fit for us for he speaks well, never blames refs or injuries is solid all round and just what we need at the moment stability something seriously lacking since we got promoted. I will reserve any accolades until another year has passed after seeing who he recruits and how we go with what players we have.
