Again Ginger, I don’t need to know what they are. It is perfectly ok to assume that he was given proper direction. That is a perfectly logical deduction.
Stay with me Ginger! YOU CAN DO IT LOL
November 11, 2018 at 1:06 pm #1696726You’ve made the claim that hendeson has been given specific instructions by the sports science people and then he’s went and ignored them.
You’ve made this claim.
No one else. What’s your evidence for this claim?
November 11, 2018 at 1:07 pm #1696727You’re calling into question the Captains professionalism and discipline here.
The least you could do is provide some sort of evidence to back it up.November 11, 2018 at 1:12 pm #1696729You’re right Ginger, Henderson trains alone and receives no feed back or instruction.
This is what you’re saying so why don’t you state it.
November 11, 2018 at 1:16 pm #1696733What were the instructions that Henderson ignored?
November 11, 2018 at 1:19 pm #1696734What? I thought we agreed that he receives no instruction or feedback?
I’m just going to be sarcastic with you from here on. You are a completely irrational person and I’d be wasting my time to try and talk in any serious way with you.
November 11, 2018 at 1:19 pm #1696735Henderson doesn’t train alone.
He does receive feedback.
He does receive instruction. Now we’ve got that cleared up, which instructions did he ignore from the sports science people?
November 11, 2018 at 1:20 pm #1696736How do you know that he receives feedback?
November 11, 2018 at 1:22 pm #1696737All footballers receive feedback.
Now let’s get back to ridiculous claim at hand, what instructions did Hendo ignore from the sports science people?
November 11, 2018 at 1:25 pm #1696738You can’t have it both ways.
How do you know that Henderson receives feedback? Do you train with him?
November 11, 2018 at 1:25 pm #1696739Two can play this rubbish.
November 11, 2018 at 1:31 pm #1696743Sorry but it’s you that has made the claim that he’s received feedback.
And then ignored it.I can understand your reluctance to answer the questions surrounding your ridiculous claim. Because you can’t.
You have zero evidence to say that Henderson ignores advice given to him by the sports science people.
But by making the claim you have called into question his professionalism and discipline. That’s a very serious accusation to make of him.
I’d have thought you would have had some sort of evidence, strong evidence, to back that up.
You have nothing.
It’s simply another unfounded ridiculous claim, in a series of unfounded ridiculous claims thrown out on this thread.November 11, 2018 at 1:41 pm #1696747You can’t expect to be taken seriously with unreasonable demands. The only evidence you’ll accept is fly on the wall stuff, as ever. Nothing is self-evident with you. I say Henderson is too bulky because he is. I say it is someones fault and it is someones fault. Given how the other lads are more balanced, it’s totally fine logically to deduce that the problem might be Henderson.
I don’t train with him and I don’t pass notes between the sports science lads and the physios. I never made this claim. I am making a claim of deduction, something you’re incapable of. I can see why you defer to expertise to such an extent. You seem to be unable to deduce anything yourself. More power to you boy!
November 11, 2018 at 1:44 pm #1696748At last we’ve got to the bottom of this.
You’re ridiculous claim that he ignores advice from the sports science people has absolutely no basis in fact.
November 11, 2018 at 1:48 pm #1696750We came to the bottom of this ages ago.
November 11, 2018 at 2:27 pm #1696765Mikus regarding influential captains I do agree that they can inspire or even lead a club to cup final victories with their goals, like Gerrard.
But you can say the same about highly influential players such as Messi, Bale or Ronaldo.
My point is you can win a final without a swashbuckling, heroic captain, as long as your team is good enough e.g. Houllier’s treble team, France 2018. And for me the hope is that Liverpool wins a trophy sooner rather than later, hopefully this season
November 11, 2018 at 2:33 pm #1696768This thread right now
Judging by distance covered in his last 90 minutes, doesn’t seem to be showing signs of being overweight. Also, who wants to do more training? Accusing him of training his upper body despite being told not to, just doesn’t add up.
Not to mention, we’ve got some much stronger upper body guys in the squad, like Joe Gomez. He’d probably give Van Dijk a run for his money on the benchpress. A strong upper body helps a lot with sprinting and acceleration believe it or not. So it’s not necessarily even a bad thing. Although it would have a negative effect on long distance running.
I don’t see signs of that in Henderson’s game, he gets on the ball significantly more than our other midfielders (racking up almost twice as many passes per game, than Milner, Gini, Fabinho at Monaco and Keita at RBL last season), so he’s keeping busy. He does that significantly better than anyone else in the squad right now, making himself an option and helping us keep the ball moving. It’s not the most eye catching of jobs, but still very influential on the team.
November 11, 2018 at 2:36 pm #1696771Mr Mak with the wall to wall coverage of Premier League football, if there is a major weakness in any team, it will be exposed and discussed ruthlessly.
Look at how Karius was discussed endlessly last season, and especially by pundits on TV. Or how the press rubbed their hands in glee hounding Salah this seson when he wasn’t scoring. Any problem, especially with top teams is picked on immediately.
I am making a very simple point about Henderson being Liverpool captain – it is the right decision, and is certainly not a problem for us. And he’s doing a good job, I don’t see many (if any) fans complaining
November 11, 2018 at 2:59 pm #1696782Mr Mak, re Klopp’s observation on Van Dijk, you say “If he did then it is a positive comment and not a negative one. it’s saying that he is more of a man than his years would usually suggest.”
Actually no, it is not a positive comment but an observation that Van Dijk appears far more of a man than he actually is, and still needs to become more mature and improve – see the article on the web
November 11, 2018 at 3:20 pm #1696787Davinci I’ve got no problem with Henderson being Liverpool captain, and I don’t think many fans have a problem with that either – Klopp certainly doesn’t.
Until that changes, don’t think I’ll add much more to this captaincy debate
