I’ve not seen this posted yet, and we shouldn’t let it pass without marking it.
Seems only fitting to pay tribute to a great football man, and probably the greatest manager our neighbours across the park have ever had.

As both a player and as a manager he represented and served Everton in the best way imaginable – by being a winner and a gentleman.

In the 80’s he built a side that would be the envy of the top flight, and when you list out the names it’s hard to believe they were all in the same squad. The football they played was as exciting as you could imagine and mixed with a blend of tough tackling no nonsense that made them so successful.

Thoughts and best wishes are with his family and friends. He has gone too soon.

It’s here WIB http://www.teamtalk.com/your-say/topic/howard-kendall Somebody kindly started off the tribute.

A Figured head of the Everton team in the 80s and brought the club a lot of success with titles and cups.

69 for me is not old to pass away.

    RIP Howard Kendall

Thanks Nil, I never spotted it. You’re right, 69 is too young.
