There is a thread on Liverpool yoursay page where their fans seriously discussing how Salah is a better player than Messi. Don’t get me wrong, Salah has just one good season, but the thing is players like him come and go and Ronaldo and Messi reign supreme. What those two have done for over a decade is near impossible to duplicate. Consider this, Ronaldo and Messi are no longer the dominant forces they were back in the day. Age and injuries are having their say now. Last season was arguably their worst seasons in a while with Messi having a hard time in the UCL and Ronaldo showing up late in La Liga, but even Salah’s jaw dropping best season is still below par with sub-par seasons those two have given.
I dont know why Salah is nominated for Uefa player of the year in top 3? Messi had soooo better stats than Salah. People at Anfield used to serenade the tune “I’ll be Muslim too” for Salah. They named him the “Egyptian King”. Why did they do it? Because they wanted to create a hero like Eric Cantona. But sadly the fact is that Salah will not even be better than Luis Suarez at Liverpool. Salah is a 1 season wonder and also learned he is a massive snow flake too, beta male. Any other player would have continued in the CL final, but he went off with a hurty shoulder a 5 year old would have run off. He is also responsible for one of the biggest dives of the season so far to cheat Liverpool a penalty. Salah will be a diving wonder this season.September 20, 2018 at 4:59 pm #1677872

Phew. Thought TMA had lost the plot on the other thread when he was displaying his burning obsessive jealousy against Man City. Normal service has been resumed.September 20, 2018 at 8:20 pm #1677932
Yirra Martial, change the record or get some new material. The LFC baiting is getting boring now.September 20, 2018 at 8:42 pm #1677938
Salah is a great player but it’s a lot to expect him to live up to the same sort of goal scoring achievements of last season he might not get 32 goals in the PL this season but he’ll still score 20 plus imo from a wide right position.September 21, 2018 at 4:02 am #1677966
Is laughing Lenny warrotard’s best fake to date? Not for me. That has to be thedevil from the old site.September 21, 2018 at 8:55 am #1678014
@999 – he might not get 32 goals in the PL this season but he’ll still score 20 plus
That’s why I called him a one season wonder. He’ll not replicate his performance from last season. So, you wonder why Liverpool fans were comparing him with Messi. Messi is a legend playing at the highest level for many years. As for scoring 20 goals, I mean Lukaku scored 20+ goals for a number of seasons. And scoring goals alone doesn’t make him a great player. I don’t think Hazard scored 20+ goals in a season but I have seen him leading Chelsea to major titles. Liverpool fans keep typing out their desperate desires to make Salah a hero like Cantona, Henry etc. Its funny they called Salah ‘king’. There is only one king in the PL. ERIC THE KING. The most enigmatic player ever to grace the premier league. One of the most influential players ever. Players like Cantona, Henry, Zlatan, Messi, Ronaldo and even Hazard have a huge presence on the pitch. You wont notice Salah on the pitch if he doesn’t score goals. Firmino tracks back to win the ball or to take the pass which allows Salah to run inside and give him the ball he puts in the net. Firmino create as well as scores. Now, Salah is doing himself no favours, his diving is absolutely appalling. The Liverpool fans are hypocrites and defend his behaviour.
My lil siz is with me now. Here is her message for you. Salah’s won nothing. He’ll never even be a one season wonder.September 21, 2018 at 12:39 pm #1678141
Cantona is nothing like a Henry, Zlatan, Messi or Ronaldo. He was a massive disappointment in the CL and and a massive flop at international level.
The only thing Cantona did that was world class was turning his collar up.September 21, 2018 at 12:44 pm #1678144

Please guys, let’s not give the cock the attention he wants. You know he’s beat when he has to put fakes on the site to try and be relevant. If Liverpool continue their good form he’ll wilt and vanish. He always does.September 21, 2018 at 2:00 pm #1678178
Regardless, he’s a damn good player that most managers in the world would want in their 1st 11, surely that’s more useful argument than debating whether he is a one season wonder or not?September 21, 2018 at 2:39 pm #1678190
TMA, with respect mate any suggestion Salah is a one season wonder is as silly as Liverpool fans claiming he is as good as Messi. Comparing anyone to Messi is a bit silly imo but everyone is entitled to an opinion. Mine a bit like Sarri’s is that Hazard is currently the best player in Europe.😊
20 plus goals this season from a wide right player in the PL would still be a very good return imo from Salah who is a great player impo..September 21, 2018 at 3:06 pm #1678198
Besides, he has “only” scored 1 goal less than he did in his first 6 games last season.September 21, 2018 at 3:29 pm #1678203
Just like to point out the thread on the Liverpool page was referring to Salah’s form last season and not comparing his career with Messi’s.September 21, 2018 at 5:23 pm #1678244

1. Your comment just proves my point that he’s a one season wonder.
2. Why are you Pool fans desperate to compare a one season wonder who has done fuck all with arguably the greatest player of our generation? Why are you afraid to compare the 25 year old Salah with a 25 year old Messi. Hazard was phenomenal when Chelsea won the league with Jose, but never seen Chelsea fans comparing him with Messi.
Salah nowhere near Messi. Hope that helps you regain your sanity.September 21, 2018 at 5:31 pm #1678245

What does it mean? He will score “only” 1 goal less than last season? hahaha flawed logic.September 21, 2018 at 5:41 pm #1678246
With respect sir, I stand by what I said. Salah’s play during 2017–18 season is a fluke.
And it’s still a mystery why he was named player of the year. If you take into perspective contribution in the league and want to talk about self brilliance last season as well as contributing the most to their respective team then the order should be like this: KDB best player in the best team in the country. Wilfred Zaha single handily saved Palace from relegating. Thats a huge achievement given he was the only player standing out every game. De Gea best player and most important player at United who finished well above Liverpool in the league. Harry Kane best player in the team that finish above Liverpool. Then there should be Salah who has scored goals but has not contributed much to Liverpool in the league. Liverpool in their last game were still fighting for 4th spot. Same as the season before.September 21, 2018 at 5:48 pm #1678248
TMA – lol first point. It was his first season with us. We only had that to go on.
Second point. Why don’t you go ahead and compare him with a 25yo Messi. Messi is salahs bench mark and if he is even half way as decent we have a high quality player on our hands. Being worse than Messi isn’t really a criticismSeptember 21, 2018 at 6:02 pm #1678251
ERIC THE KING changed the face of Premier League football forever. He changed a mindset at Man Utd and helped establish a dynasty.September 21, 2018 at 6:10 pm #1678253
Martial, it may well have been a fluke and it might well have been a one off indeed to hit that level of scoring in the PL from a wide right position has never been previously achieved let alone repeated so it probably was a one off but that doesn’t mean Salah is not a great player.
If you are comparing the positions that United, Spurs and Liverpool finished in the PL last season then there’s no argument but you have to bear in mind that Liverpool were competing in the latter stages of the CL and those 4 games v City and Roma together with the impending game v Real in the Final would have taken a lot out of them whilst both United with arguably a stronger squad and Spurs only had to focus on the PL.
My point is simple imo Salah is a great player I wish he was still at Chelsea and I suspect you ptobably wish he was still at United and 20 plus goyals a season from him in his position would still be a very good return from him.
I just hope Salah fires blanks next week!😊
