    jm1502,

Fair enough, but it also depends who he was referring to. There are several players who I completely understand he’s delighted with.

I’m sure he knows the squad needs in and outs, but his hands are tied a bit in that respect.

But he didn’t have to say he was “delighted” with them did he CR? But who knows what “other” services these players offer to Ole,lol.

The last paragraph fom James Wilson’s sportsblog in the Guardian this eve, an article pointing out that OGS is not the man for United:

United are a shambles. Their problems will not instantly be solved by replacing Solskjær. He is not some malign presence sapping the life force from the squad. But there is simply no evidence, attractive as the dream may be, that he is equipped, just as all seems lost, once again to turn up to save the day. Other managers are available, but they will not always be. At some point, vague promises of youth and counterattacking are not enough.

Hopefully, he is just trying to drive up Shaw’s sale price but it is Ole afterall so he might even believe it. If he thinks that we are doomed and he needs to be moved on….as well as Shaw!

Absolute bullshit article. It’s like Jonatahn has an agenda to get Ole sacked. Ole managed a total of 63 games and won 33 which is a win percentage of 52% NOT 36.3%. Last 17 games in all competitions: 10 wins, 4 draws, 3 losses. Ole inherited a mess of a squad bought by three different managers. He’s got rid of loads of dross in a year (Valencia, Darmain, Fellaini, Herrera, Lukaku, Sanchez, Smalling and Young). That’s 8 players. There is still a lot of shite/past it players at United, and it will take time to sort that out. He’s also buying with a plan for the first time since Fergie left, and not getting held to ransom – Eriksen, Dyabala, Fernandes are cases in point.

Few teams have managed to quell Liverpool so effectively all year. With many of his key players injured Ole demonstrated his tactical ability to lead Liverpool up to the 85th minute and remains the only manager to take a point from Liverpool this season. Plenty of improvement throughout the team. Still in the Europa league, still in with a shout of top four, still in the FA-cup, knocked Chelsea out of the league cup away from home, beaten our dodgy team Wolves after many games, no shame to lose to City without his key players Pogba, McT, Maguire and Martial. He knows what he is doing and is the manager most attuned to the United DNA. Calls to get rid of Ole are as misguided as the calls to bin Fergie during the early period of his tenure. No manager with our current squad would be able to do much better.

For what it is worth Ole has the backing of majority of United fans. All those naysayers firing criticism at the first bump in the road would have a new coach installed every month. While United were swapping Moyes, Van Gaal and Mourino the opportunity to capture Pep Guardiola and Klopp were missed. The clamour is now to appoint Allegri. Is he any better than yesterdays flavour of the month of Emrey, Sarri, Pochettino or Conte? Ole is calm, articulate and intelligent. For once lets support the manager and give him time to shape a young squad into a team we can be proud of.

I’m swapping the lithium for a shit load of booze today Blacky mate! Can’t imagine I’ll be able to watch all of this game. Without your buddy Rashford we’ve virtually no chance whatsoever.
Seems like we’re playing two left backs for a laugh as well…

Short-term self-interest and self-preservation is kicking OGS in the gut.
What is with the stupidity if asking players to play with injuries? Are we really that bad. It appears yes.

The decision to let Lukaku leave with only Mason Greenwood as any sort of a backup plan was an act of gross negligence mate. You would think Ole should know better than anyone after his days as a player that you need to have far better forward options than that to have any chance of success over such a long season, but apparently not.

As well as being out of his depth as a manager, he is clearly unable to influence/convince Ed n Co. on what needs doing. He is a sitting duck as a result reliant on Gary Neville and Roy Keane calling out Glazers and Ed for footballing recruitment incompetence.

I mean whoever our summer targets are we should start negotiations now as it takes these fucktards so long to get deals over the line, we will need every day of the additional 5 months….

Watched Arteta and Lampard speaking after their game last night. So much more convincing than Solskjaer. Mind you, so are just about all the other PL managers.

Not talking about his management prospects happy, talking about his post match interview. Far more considered, assured, focused and articulate than Ole.
