And how long you think the Matip and Gomez partnership is going to last? I honestly have no faith in our club keeping players fit.

Kopite.. We were already looking at “getting ridiculous” in pre-season. I think it’s safe to say it’s “beyond ridiculous” now.

Read somewhere that we’re not actively looking for a new sporting director, so if that were true, it looks like we’ve just given up on that front.

Actually, consider matip and gomez’s injury record…we’ll be back to phillips and Williams! Its quite hilarious really, we have gone from right near the top of the tree to….well, a midtable broke club with fit players! What a decline!

Moonster, indeed, there’s a reason we recalled Williams. They knew they’d be needing him soon.

If the rumours are to be believed and we really want to bring in Bellingham and Nunes, I can see us maybe getting Jude’s brother Jobe in to replace Ox as a wide forward/midfield option and pretty much concluding our business there. Doesn’t change the fact that we could do with offloading 6 senior midfielders and getting a new CB and RB to challenge Trent. With Chelsea reportedly trying to seal a deal for Enzo Fernandez today and with both them and Arsenal reportedly interested in both Declan Rice and Caicedo, I don’t know what the fuck they’re going to do if they miss out on either of the former 2 players.

We quite simply need a ‘re-build’ and investment along the same lines as Chelsea. So, let’s hope we’re sold ASAP and they don’t change the rules that Chelsea have found ways around soon.

They’re due to change the rules this summer.
Think the max length contract can only be 5yrs.

Moonster, so you think this team needs a ‘rebuild’ ? what ive been saying all along.. so the crap performance its not just down to a couple of bad players ‘bad attitude’ is it? We dont really need a rebuild ‘along the same lines as chelsea’ if its just a couple of bad apples.

More like down to fatigue burnout, ageing old players, important player(s) sold, numerous injuries this season, injury prone players and new forwards bedding in.

So yes, we do need a rebuild and I don’t think it’s burnout as burn out doesnt effect the entire team equally and doesnt last half way into another season…its gotta something different and klopp has said so. We do need a rebuild as our players can’t handle success seemingly too well (all bat Allision), constantly injured players (all of them), contracts running out (4 i think) and yes…some bad apples can go too. Those factors alone cover probably 90% of the team…is that not a rebuild then?

I think you said the team’s bad performance is because of mo’s contract and a couple of bad apples.. ? apparently theres a lot more of other reasons too 😅😅

No, i think maybe your not reading my posts correctly, i have said it could and would be a legitimate reason for players to have the hump if mo’s is paid so much more than others…certainly as he’s one of the worst this season. The team imo has a couple of bad apples and they’re spoiling the team ethic which is clear to be seen on the pitch, ive said this many a time and it wont change my view but hopefully you’ll understand my point this time and accept that even klopp has mentioned ‘poor body language’ a lot this season…and not tiredness oddly enough.

“You just say this one thing, without anyone disagreeing with you and keep arguing like a idiot…”

Notorious, there’s only one idiot over here and that is clearly you, for simply ignoring facts. How dumb are you really to think that Liverpool could afford to sign Mbappe?

I will make it very simple for you, yet again. The absolute, few elite players in the world (Messi, Ronaldo, Mbappe, Neymar) ALWAYS sign for the highest transfer fees and wages, which are way beyond the reach of a non-government sponsored team like Liverpool FC.

That is just how business works. and that is something you seem to have zero clues about. You are so ignorant that you cannot even understand such a simple business concept, that is why not even one fan on this site agrees with your stupid nonsense.

“I mean for fucks sake… you are claiming that every post that ive made about the finances of Liverpool is wrong because he got a 1.6 million contract”

As I asked before, what exactly are you smoking? I never made that statement, stop imagining things.

All along I have clearly stated that Liverpool, not being a government-owned club, cannot afford to buy Mbappe, because as one of the world’s elite players, his wages will be exorbitantly high, and comparable to the highest paid players, thus in the region of around £1M/week, even Haaland is on £865K/week.

What is so funny with your delusion thinking that Mbappe could ever sign for Liverpool, is that his preferred destination (after PSG) has always been Real Madrid. Similarly to how Tchouaméni rejected us, despite being Klopp’s No. 1 target last summer, and wages not being an issue.

Liverpool must cut two players from their Champions League squad tomorrow if they wish to register Naby Keita and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain for the knockouts.

I’m not sure who is in the squad currently. Who is likely to be cut? Not sure I’d have Ox in the squad actually. Lucky we don’t have to fit in all our January signings 🤣🤣 mind you, suppose we’ve got to fit Gakpo in as well as Ox and Naby

On the back of my previous post on the amount of frees we have let leave these past few years (can’t rem if it was this thread) compare that with City’s departures.

Cancelo loan with a view to a £65mil purchase
    Sterling £50mil
    Jesus £50mil
    Zinchencko £30mil
    Torres £50mil
    Angelino £50mil
    Sane £45mil
    Otamendi £12mil
    *Circa

Through those years only Fernandinho left on a free to go back to Brazil to see out his footballing career.
We used to be known for making good smart sales, that seems to have tailed off dramatically. City have sold some very important players there that have been key to their success and then reinvested. We’ve just held onto players until they leave on a free or just run out of legs. 1/2 exceptions.

I think Ox and Naby will make the cut. Bajetic probably won’t but should make the ‘B-list’ (born after 2001 with a chunk of stipulations which he qualifies for).
