Any chance we’ll sign in this window? With there being a World Cup during the season we may need a player or 2. After the World Cup players will be fucking shattered.

Think we should pre-sign players running out of contract at the end of the year to ensure we get the first bite at the cherry.

    RB and striker are priority

Wonder if we’ll go for De Jong again in Jan.

Can’t see any first team players been signed in Jan. If we are lucky a couple young talents signed and maybe U21’s loaned out

We’ll get the usual ‘there’s no value’ spiel and that’ll be it. Loans out or sales but no buys unless it’s someone that ETH absolutely demands.

striker and midfielder the priority. maybe that lad from Napoli up top. not sure who would be a good mid for us tho. de Jong hasn’t impressed me whenever I’ve seen him.

Gk, understudy to Martinez, Timber, CM and CF

Five transfers, first couple could be pretty cheap, latter won’t be. Can’t see any arriving in Jan

I’d be very interested to see how the lad Sesko does for Ree Bull Salzburg. I’d rather buy him from RBL for €60-70m than €100m for Osimhen.

Sesko seems to have lost his place in Salsburg’s starting XI – he’s only scored 1 goal in 7 games this season

Still got great potential but nowhere near the finished article

Osimhen meanwhile is in his 5th season of regular goalscoring

Any chance we can get rid of players in Jan?

just watched de Jong in the bayern barca game. he looks decidedly average, which means our ‘scouts’ watched the match and licked their lips and will try again to acquire him

English Bob, the players who got to that semi final with Ajax. Since leaving Ajax they’ve all been average.

In Ten Hag’s Ajax they were parts of a greater whole, each player was coached to work as part of the team and the system, that happens less in the teams they are in so they are finding it harder to play to the level they did at Ajax. From that point of view I wouldn’t be too bothered by de Jong being average at Barca, plenty of players have been good but not great in La Liga for Madrid or Barca and gone on to be great players for other teams, Robben for Madrid and then to Bayern and being far better for Bayern than he was for Madrid. Having said that, I’d be wary of how much Barca ask us to pay…..

Whatever happens in January you can bet on it being the usual fucking shambles under Murtough and his team!

We should be looking in the French league for the next Mbappe. Plenty of young players with pace and physicality in there. There’s a reason Osimhen and Sesko are still where they are, too fucking expensive.

Sesko is moving to Red Bull Leipzig next year for €20m.

@jm1502 – fully agreed but, for some reason, United seem to feel that they’re too good to take the time to nurture young players anymore and seem more than happy to spend 80m on the likes of Antony rather than spend 8m and take a risk 2 years earlier…

Mind you, our youth players are barely given a shot of proving themselves, evne with McTominay, Rashford and the likes playing poorly for months / years… so good luck to any young players being bought!

That’s because Red Bull own both clubs mate. If he went somewhere else they’d be asking a fortune.
