What’s everybody’s expectations for this window?
I’d love to see Alderweireld come in but reckon we’ll have to wait till the end of the season for that one
We also need a LB to push Shaw but again, I think that’ll only happen when we’ve got Darmian and a couple CB’s off the payroll
Interesting to see that Declan Rice hasn’t signed a new contract yet. Back in the 90’s we were good at signing the top young English talents. Can play CB but has looked great playing in midfield lately, he could be our replacement for Matic

In terms of departures I’d be happy to sell Darmian, Valencia, Jones and Rojo if any half decent offers come in

Apparently had a £90m offer turned down for The Beast-in K2.Would love to sign him provided Jones,Rojo, and one of Smalling,Lindelof left.Really want to see Bailly get back to his best.Hopefully Darmian,Valencia,Mata,Sanchez, leave and we get some decent money for them.

    ps:is D.Rice not Irish???

Rice is born and raised in England, his parents/grandparents are Irish, not sure which, think his grandfather is from Cork. Either way he’d be classed as homegrown regardless of if he declares for England or Ireland. Was at Chelsea’s academy first, then went to West Ham. He’s only appeared for Ireland at underage and friendlies so can still technically decide to play for England. If the hype is to be believed, he’d be a good buy.

redblood…you’ve said a couple of times about the price being right and getting decent money for them. Who exactly do you think we might get a decent fee for?generally older players at the end of their contracts and on massive wages.

Possibly Sanchez but with the wages he’s on i’d say we’ll be subsidising any transfer with a reduced upfront fee or massive pay out of his contract.

Rojo,Jones,Darmian,Sanchez.I also like the look of that Serbian playing for Fiorentina- Nikola Milenkovic, his game reminds me of Vidic.B Chilwell of LFC also looks very promising.

Tommy, hope you don’t mind me replying to your question to redblood
I’d hope to get at least 10 million for Darmian, 15 million for Rojo/Jones/Smalling, 30 million for Bailly/Lindelof and wouldn’t expect any transfer fee for Sanchez (wages too high), and nominal fee for Mata or Herrera (both contract expiry)
By the way, Rice is out of contract at the end of the season. Would be interesting to see how West Ham reacted to a £20 million offer in January

Do we have a buy back on Depay? Could be worth a shout. He’s playing well, not just for Lyon but for Holland too.

Why would I mind homerjay? I’m not that grumpy am I, surely please?

Not much money coming back in though is it? With contracts as they are I’m not even sure we’d get that much for de Gea and Martial.

It all comes back to that sweet spot between minimum investment for maximum return and I fear we are going to have new owners soon. Not good ones.

@wg, at least, on a purely footballing level, those new owners will be willing and able to take a short term hit by selling off and paying off some of the overpaid cross we’ve been supporting for the last few years. Then just move Ed back to commercial director and find a proper DoF.

I’d be very surprised mufc…they’ve got high hopes for that young lad Areola (don’t start) and Buffon was brought in short term to guide him through the next couple of years. It’s the only other place where he’ll earn what he does at United.

I wouldn’t have started this thread it doesn’t matter who they buy and what they buy we are shit! Unless you clean up the grandad crock brigade nothing will change.

Retain top players? So says Ed you lying ……. De Gea could well leave and pogba if reports are to be believed ;yet your handing New contracts to the grandad brigade Fellaini Smalling young possibly Valencia! You b….. you think we are stupid? There is a a chasm of a disconnect between the club and fans. I don’t know who in their right mind wants to pay to watch that crock of shite what a waste of ones money and life. ive stopped. If they paid me to watch them I’d say stick up your ass I can watch it on the box and turn it off when I please.

On many occasions we’ve laughed it off light humour take the banter give banter but boy this hurts something has to give ! How these b can watch their neighbours overtake them on field to such levels is negligence beyond belief! Football is the product and ours is so shit we can’t even give it away. Let the seats empty spend time with your families don’t waste your time travel money. let the f rot until change is made.

The first transfer we need to do in January is get rid of Jose. The guy is toxic, the players has had enough of him, days before a game he criticise his own players in public. The snake want to get sacked.

Uww-I really fear for yours and @jm1502 health m8,its only a game m8,where cunts like Fellaini earn over £100k a week, more than what NHS nurses earn in 5 YEARS. In the words of the resident-weirdo of internet-mufc: BUM THEM,DEEP AND HARD.

Surely the club have not allowed for DDGs contract to run out in 2019?

Can’t make someone sign a contract redblood. Personally I would have cashed in this summer while we could have still made good money. His heart doesn’t seem in it and he looks like a lad haunted by the realisation he could have won three European Cup medals by now.

We’re a shambolic noodles sponsored shit show.
