Sanchez,Rojo and Smalling are out on loan and will come back,as Ole said himself,so not gone gone.Ole said that both Sanchez & Rojo will prove everyone wrong next season[Sanchez[,and he has a future @ OT[Rojo],so they havent actually benn sold.
February 1, 2020 at 12:09 pm #1823102Going on loan at their age is as good as being sold, highly unlikely they’ll come back.
Fred is the player of the month!February 1, 2020 at 12:33 pm #1823105But they’re still on the books, simple as that, and with most of the wages that go with them. I think you’d call them loss leaders hatters. As for Dan James, let me be clearer, he’s shite, so maybe Wolves standard happy 😂. And why you brought Moura up puzzles me.
February 1, 2020 at 1:02 pm #1823111They are gone when they are sold or their contracts are out,but Ole said that both Sanchez & Rojo will come back next season.Nobody expected a brilliant window in January,so lets hope the summer one is a much productive one,in terms of clearing out more deadwood and incomings. So,we basically only got rid of Young, like it or not.
February 1, 2020 at 1:15 pm #1823113As much as I didnt see this coming, Odion Ighalo deal probably makes sense considering our options in the market and the type of deal. The last-gasp capture of him may appear baffling, but a loan move is a brilliant decision for a player who has the experience in the EPL without splashing a huge amount of money. He could prove an inspired short-term stopgap as injuries bite a thin squad.
February 1, 2020 at 1:22 pm #1823116@manthistle – Ighalo? Jesus Christ! What’s wrong with Greenwood? £100k a week and £4m fee I’ve read. He’s 30 FFS! What a shit signing.
It’s a loan deal calm down it’s only to add depth till the end of the season we don’t know when Rashford is back so having him is important. Low cost, low risk option and adds depth and another source of goals.
In the Premier League:
Odion Ighalo: Apps: 82 Goals: 33
£56m Lacazette: Apps: 82 Goals: 32
One played with Huges and the other played with OzilIghalo scored more goals at the 2019 AFCON than Mahrez, Pepe, Aubameyang, Salah and Mane. 6 month loan not bad, wont turn heads or break records but we need someone in.
He scores goals in bad teams, Inter and Spurs wanted him, can’t be that bad.
February 1, 2020 at 1:31 pm #1823123Bruno Fernandes since the start of last season: 63 appearances 36 goals 24 assists. Involved in 60 goals in 63 games. Those are ridiculous stats. For a player who is 25-years-old, and in the form of his career with the numbers behind him, it is a potential deal that works out incredibly well for United.
Ole settled on a 4-2-3-1 but he simply isn’t getting enough attacking output from his number 10s: Mata + Lingard + Pereira have a goal/assist every 328 minutes in the league since the start of last season. Bruno = 89 mins
Lingard is particular = 0 goals or assistants in the league for over the years. His last goal was scored in December 2018 against Cardiff. He’s our #10 LOL
Obviously the Premier League is very different to Primiera Liga but Bruno should have more talented players around him for us. Rashford and a decent striker will really flourish around him.
February 1, 2020 at 2:50 pm #1823173Cannot believe Newcastle were prepared to offer £35m for Soumare. Why werent we in for him?Surely Pogba & Matic are off in the summer, with Andy & Mata as useless as they have been for the past few years, too??
February 2, 2020 at 8:13 am #1823484Agreed with Redblood, we will need 2x top CM’s next summer and Soumare would have been an easy one to get over the line.
On a side note though, for a little perspective on our window in general, Tottenham were even more desperate to bring in a striker than we were and failed. Yes they have Son and brought in a very good attacking player in Bergwijn but neither are natural strikers who will lead the line.
Chelsea failed to bring in anybody. Neither Lampard nor Mourinho will be happyFebruary 2, 2020 at 9:56 am #1823493@happy – How in fucks name is going out on loan “as good as being sold” you dreamer?. Which mug club is going to take on Sanchez’s 500k per week AND give us a fee?. How much of Rojo’s massive wages do you think Estudiantes are paying to have him on loan, and what chance have they got of finding any sort of money to buy him at the end of it?.
There’s only Smalling who we could get a half decent fee for, and he shouldn’t have been sent out on loan in the first place because despite his many faults he’s still way better than the absolute dross that’s been left behind!, simple as that. -
