April 28, 2022 at 3:05 pm #2088766YESSSS.. but but i refused to read any rumours. Especially from journalists. Because its not a done deal until the club announced. 😆😆😆🤭🤭
April 28, 2022 at 3:14 pm #2088772News coming from real reputable sources so I’ll take it as a done deal
In 2015, our fans were ecstatic when jurgen came in. I kept hearing the messiah had landed. I was very sceptical as everything we touched turned to shite. Nothing was going right for us. The pl loss in 2014 to Chelsea was my lowest as a Lfc fan. Dream after dream died until this man came in.
Day one you could see his plan. The absolutely wonderful times he has brought this club. He has changed everything. Im watching the best Liverpool team of my lifetime. The football is unreal st times. We will go anywhere and attack. We are spoiled with this man. He has more then delivered and we are still going.
This is just brilliant news and great timing. No matter what happens this season, I’ll rest knowing we have another 4 seasons with jurgen. Delighted
April 28, 2022 at 3:18 pm #2088775Fantastic news!!
Imagine the boost that gives to the players that have just signed new deals, those that are in talks to sign new deals and any new players we may interested in this summer.Excellent news!
April 28, 2022 at 3:22 pm #2088777I wonder if this is the news that Salah has been waiting for all along.
Again, so great news the slipped under the journalist radar.
Well done FSG!April 28, 2022 at 3:42 pm #2088790Isn’t Ornstein a journalist? Hasn’t slipped under his radar if true. Nothing official from the club yet but great news if it is indeed true.
April 28, 2022 at 3:44 pm #2088795Klopp gets a pay rise so we can pay Salah above 300k n Klopp is still the highest paid at the club.
April 28, 2022 at 4:08 pm #2088813“News coming from real reputable sources so I’ll take it as a done deal”
Such high praise, ty so much 😛
The timing of this news is honestly kinda freaky. What else should I wish for? Anyone want to be rich?
Moonster, maybe that’s it man. I hope so but either way it’s just damn great news.
April 28, 2022 at 4:33 pm #2088827Good point AK
April 28, 2022 at 4:47 pm #2088835Ya, twas a great point alright AK. I mean, Klopp should be the highest paid at the club, or at least damn close.
Does anyone know if Player of the Month comes with a bonus? I guess there would be arguing over it but there’s a thought…
To all those (very much including myself) who’ve said over the last 2 years or more, that this team/manager deserve more trophies than they are getting/will get etc, here’s another 4 years to try and achieve them.
April 28, 2022 at 5:06 pm #2088845Paul Joyce broke this news today at 09:00, by the end of the day Klopp confirmed it. The most reputable journalist regarding Liverpool , in my opinion, no one else had a clue this was about to happen.
Typical way Liverpool FC do business nowadays, in secret, no drama.
April 28, 2022 at 5:29 pm #2088849From the horse’s mouth now…
Klopp: “When the owners brought the possibility to renew to me, I asked myself: do I have the energy ro give of myself again what this amazing place requires from me?” 🔴 #LFC
“I didn’t need too long to answer. The answer was very simple… I’m in love with here and I feel fine!” pic.twitter.com/G8uPr5EqZ6

April 28, 2022 at 5:30 pm #2088851Great news indeed but typical of the way we do business? Plenty of recent examples of signings which were far from secret.
April 28, 2022 at 5:37 pm #2088856Absolutely, read this link. And of course, not all deals can be done in secret, especially when you have several parties and competitors involved.

No one knew a deal was on the cards then the day after he (Jota) was pictured in a Liverpool kit. It is how business has been conducted ever since Virgil Van Dijk’s day out to Blackpool with Klopp which ended up with Liverpool having to formally apologise to Southampton and look like fools.
April 28, 2022 at 5:50 pm #2088865More info emerging about Klopp’s new deal:
✅ Takes over his current deal, ends in 2026 with an option to extend to 2028.
✅ Talks initiated by Klopp’s side; want to build a dynasty.
✅ Has asked Mike Gordon to secure Mané and Salah.
✅ His staff extend too.
April 28, 2022 at 6:03 pm #2088869Journalists still broke it before the club 😂
April 28, 2022 at 6:24 pm #2088877“no one else had a clue this was about to happen.”
Chris Bascombe did.
April 28, 2022 at 7:17 pm #2088898How many Jota deals have there been before or since? I’d say such deals are still and are likely to remain very much atypical given that the club does not have full control over the processes involved but it is always great when something like that does happen.
The extension could also be beneficial due to the Klopp factor. Potential targets tempted to join might be reassured by the knowledge that he’s signed up for a couple of more years rather than possibly being concerned about who might take over in 2024.
April 28, 2022 at 7:29 pm #2088900I have no doubt Klopp would have signed anyway but curious if it came with an assurance from FSG that the transfer budget will match what is needed going forward?
April 28, 2022 at 7:37 pm #2088904Songman, after all your rubbish about journalists, you have the audacity to speak well of Paul Joyce, for breaking the news before the club? What a troll.
