TSO, oracle says it all. Sometimes you just sound mad or clueless. A lot of money for Tav and Lok ??? 25 million for both! Not met expectations what exactly were you expecting? Recruitment is shite ? What is a bad signing for you? Ramsdale, Tomi, Gabi? Even you say Ben white may come good and are you saying you have seen enough of Tav and Lok to say they will never be good enough. I think you put more words than thoughts into these posts. Some signings don’t work that’s football no one thinks they will all make it but the money spent and idea behind the signings are very clear to most people and they make sense. All have played so far and all have showed in bits why we signed them I think that means they all shave added something to the squad.

Well Mr.Stev,First of all I don’t read Shifty’s posts because Anyone who has been here for more than a month Knows he is merely a wind up merchant. He has changed multiple Id’s on this forum due to being kicked out.If he hadn’t changed it so many times I’d suspect him to be a robot.Maybe he still is.

As for you,the only person who’s Sounding Mad,clueless but most importantly illogical is yourself. When I draw a fair comparison because both the defenders cost nearly the same – You bring out the most illogical reply saying we cannot be compared to City. How does that matter,When we’ve spent more or less a similar amount on the defenders.
City Bought Dias for 60m,We bought Ben white for 50m?Why exactly can’t a comparison be made? It’s not a budget issue is it?It’s not about affordibility is it?Let me make it easy,It’s about decisions in recruitment.

So Maybe stop Dodging point blank questions instead of finding Adjectives for me?

Also Stev,Since you’re making your duty to blatantly and blindly defend Everything about this club espescially the recruitment.Let me ask you – If you’ve been so fond of the recruitment -Do you not think we should achieve top 4 at the end of the season with this.I’ve said it before – 150m in other leagues wins you titles. In this league it should atleast make you get top 4 right?I’m not asking for the title just a CL spot.

Let’s make a deal – If we get top 4 I will apologise for all my comments on recruitment. If we don’t then you apologise to me and admit you were wrong about the recruitment.Alright?

My prediction is you will dodge this as well.Somehow Dilly dally as always,Make excuses for this squad saying they’re Young, need time etc …

You don’t need to read it he just listed things you have said. You are choosing to ignore all my points so I won’t argue yours. You should just Think about what you are saying because white not as good as Dias who was the best defender in the league last year that makes him a bad signing??? Dias cost 10 million more and is a better player at the moment, I don’t have an argument with that. No one on here including me is saying we will or even should make top four. I believe we should make top six or seven and could make top 4. You Saying the signings worked because we made top four again shows a lack of understanding.

Yeah,As expected You have dilly dallied and shied from my proposition. And Just BTW I haven’t ignored any of your points.
You can’t have it both ways stev,You can’t whole heartedly defend the recruitment policy of this club and in the same way lower the expectations of the club saying it’s ok if we merely get top six.

150M is a lot of money spent,UNDERSTAND THAT.Considering the circumstances of this season – Wherein 4th place is totally up for grabs and we are the only so called contenders for that spot that have no European football which is a huge advantage,I think it’s very reasonable to expect that spot. But again,You clearly don’t.Like I said – Inferiority complex.
You sound like gazidis – Expecting patience and time from the fans.

Also what do you mean “No one here is including me is saying we will or should make top four”.I mean you blatantly defend all the signings we make?So do you not think 150m warrants a top 4 spot?Oh wait,My mistake.I forgot you dodged this very same question in my previous post as well.

As for the signings we made.Get your facts straight.Sambi and taveres are both going to end up costing more than 30m with add ons.
That’s a lot of money.I actually quite like taveres so no problem there.Sambi,Not so much maybe he will grow on me.Still dosen’t change the fact that money could’ve been better invested in proven players like say Bissouma.

Just to add – As for the signings we made.Let’s get one thing straight. The Clueless Edu has in no manner pulled a rabbit out of the hat.He has paid a lot of money for the players we signed. Many could’ve been avoidable had he been more pro active which is his job.

Let’s take Ramsdale for example.A lot of people have been impressed with him and rightly so.But let’s take our whole goalkeeping situation on the whole –
We signed Leno for 20m only for Martinez to prove he’s a better keeper. Now I know some are bitter towards Emi due to what he’s said since Leaving,it still dosen’t change the fact that amongst the three keepers we’ve have the FA cup and copa america winner is the best of the lot.

So let’s see – Arsenal sold Emi for a mere 16m because they didn’t want to guarantee a starting spot to him over someone who has rejected a contract extension from the club and is most likely to leave in the next transfer windows.
So this club sells Emi for 16m only for his value to rise to 50m in a year(Let’s be honest a bit specualtive but that’s what he would be sold for today – Atleast)

Then this club splashes 30m on another keeper.Albeit it was a good find.Let’s not ignore what mockery has been made of this this whole goalkeeper Scenario.
Lot of people praising Ramsdale and rightly so.But what people forget is 30m is quite a bit of money to be paid for a GK,And that’s what you expect from him isn’t it?

Stev2bath1, you’re wasting your time mate, I would have thought a sensible poster like you would have sussed it out by now. TSO doesn’t possess an ounce of football knowledge, he’s clueless. What he does is wait to see what I say about a player or manager and then he will argue the opposite. He will then wait to see who disagrees with him and then he enters into a prolonged illogical, incoherent series of posts that rarely make sense. He contradicts himself from one post to the next, sometimes during the same post. He doesn’t actually have a single opinion of his own that he can back up. I used to find his inane ramblings amusing but apart from a cursory glance it’s all worn a little thin now. Both you and Muffler are very patient with him but you’re wasting your time, he’s just clueless.

White is at his first big club so anyone who thinks that just because we paid £50m for him he will be some world beater is delusional the price tag has no baring on him just on others expectation of him. So lets be a bit realistic here.

Is Utd 85m defender a world beater? The price tag is one thing quality another.

I will give new players a brake for the first year. After that the same applies to them as with Xhaka for me. Anyone with Xhakas behaviour on the pitch I want out and I dont care if its White or whoever. But i will judge a players quality on the starting point being what we paid for him because that has nothing to with the player.

Muffler_1, as you well know the useless donkey Xhaka has been a liability since Wenger signed him. He is totally immobile, he loses possession repeatedly, his passing is wayward and negative (he gave the ball away 12 times in once half recently), he doesn’t track back, he can’t tackle without conceding a foul, he doesn’t have any pace, he can’t get forward, he doesn’t run and he has an appalling attitude. On top of that he abused fans and disrespected the club, he has more yellow red cards than he does assists or goals. This pudding cost us £40m and is a total waste of money. Our new signings have improved the side greatly, they were signed with the future in mind and together with the outstanding Hale End Boys have given us a chance this year. Tomiyasu has to be one of the signings of the season, Ramsdale now rated by many the best keeper in the PL, White has been excellent and Lokonga & Tavares have given us quality back up. Compare that £150m well spent with £72m wasted on Pepe, £45m wasted on the overrated Partey and £28m wasted on Saliba who wasn’t considered by Arteta to be good enough to get on the bench against Dundalk. I know which group of players I prefer.

Muff – It seems it’s taking quite sometime for somepeople to understand a simply point. They twist words and turn it but I don’t think they understand what I’ve said.So I’ll do it for one last time and it’s not something I’ve not said before.

I’ve never directed my criticism towards Ben white or other singings for that matter.I’ve directed it towards the club. There’s a difference there.
How much is paid for a player is not under his control.I can only fault the player for his lack of efforts which in Ben’s case I have no issues because I know he’s putting in his effort.
I’m criticising the club’s recruitment policy, something that has long been a problem at this club. And I gave Ruben Dias as a perfect examply because he was bought for more or less the same amount.
That’s why I never criticised the likes of Bendtner,Squillaci etc because it was not their fault the club bought them.

And Just a word on ben white.I by no means am saying he’s a bad defender, just not 50m worth And ofcourse that price tag needs to be mentioned because it could be better spent elsewhere.

Also,My proposition applies to everyone.A lot of people praise these Youngsters as if they’re the next big thing.Let’s just see at the end of the season.
We make top 4 and I will apologise to every signing I’ve critised and every poster I’ve debated with.
If we don’t then they do to me.I mean come on you can’t show double standards now,On one hand you defend the club’s policies and on the other you can’t even think they make us finish in a spot that’s completely up for grabs.
Come on now ,don’t be afraid this is just for pride and to see who’s right because there are a lot of accusations here that certain posters don’t know what they talk about.

Stev2bath1, He’s contradicting himself again and making the usual illogical nonsensical statements. If everyone agreed with him he would change tack and take the opposite view just to have an argument. His problem is he doesn’t know enough about the game to back up anything he says. My advice is just don’t engage with him, it just gets frustrating and eventually you will lose patience as I did.

No one going to mention it as there is more value carrying on the same tired arguments of a game days old ?

I for one enjoyed the game a lot played well and some beautiful goals
