Anyone else struggling with the topic style of viewing ‘your say’ on the new site?

For those of us that liked the old style posting without having to click between topics all the time, maybe we can post here? Saw something similar in the general your say and could work for the Liverpool page.

Ill start by saying I have been well and truly caught up in Kloppomania! The guy definitely has an aura that can get the players motivated and working as a team. Very excited by what he could bring to LFC and the prem in general. Looking forward to the season ahead!

I’m with you Doeshen. I’ve posted this on General say board, so putting it up here. Any thoughts?…..

I think the excitement in Liverpool says just as much about how gloomy the last few months have been under Rodgers as how exciting the future could be under Klopp. The whole club, players and fans, needed a boost, and Klopp has given us that already…more than Ancelotti or indeed anyone else would have done.

Having said that, most Liverpool fans are realistic…he still has the same squad as Rodgers and he’s still got the same fixture list in front of him. All the paper bullshit about the likes of Lewandowski and Reus being likely Liverpool targets is just that….bullshit. But my fellow football fans, allow us to be excited – up until last Friday we saw no possible improvement, now we have hope and at least expectation of an exciting ride!

Highway hope im very excited about jurgen klopp but having had so many disappointment in the last 25 years im keeping my feet firmly on the ground. But its really hard not to get excited. The guy just exudes charisma and confidence!

Yes – I’m in agreement with this proposal as this new multi-topic approach makes things too fragmented. I have one caveat though; if Daft Dan and/or Lucas Leg-end return to this new format (and beware – they may appear under different User_Names!) I’d support the use of a “Lucas/Boring” topic so that they can mutually slag him off to their heart’s content and we can easily ignore them.

I miss Daft Dan! Never thought I’d hear myself say that of mad Danish friend! And redsforever, I agree about Klopp, but charisma and confidence alone is not enough! We have to keep our feet on the ground!

Gmitch, I second your post. This way we can just log in and catch up on everything that’s been said. How hard is it to just shuffle past a post that doesn’t interest you? Also the Liverpool your say page is the most populated on Teamtalk. Why can’t we then have better content? While this is essentially a chat forum, it wouldn’t hurt to have more choice for us……obviously it’s not our success on the pitch that brings us here. But as so many of us seem to enjoy the experience then why not give us more variety? If TT had surveyed us regarding changes to the site and ideas for improvement, I would have suggested more quality articles. Yoursay is fine for speculating, debating, opining and telling it as but there’s something to be said for a nicely written piece. I’d like to see contributions from fans on their match day experiences, best match attended or who they’re favourite manager was even. We’ve so much history; I’m sure amongst our legion of posters, someone, somewhere, has an interesting story to tell…… I’ve followed some very interesting discussions and read good articles on here. But I do notice alot of links to what is essentially nonsense……and we are asked to debate the issue (editors take note please)……hmmmmmm. Ok so my idea may be naive, however I want more from my TT experience and I’m sure that there are plenty of others who do too. We deserve more!

If you have a specific subject, you can create a heading and be able to bold the text as well as underline and type in block capitals. It just means it’s within this page and everyone can get to see it without having to march from thread to thread.

Good shout and if it helps, I’m all for it 🙂

we have a Very tough start. In recent years liverpool managers have not started well. Rodgers didnt win any of his first 5 games. The hysteria and hype behind klopp worries me a small bit. Ive never seen an appointment so weclomed by all the supporters. It be no suprise of Klopp was a spectacular failure considering our recent luck. Some fans are going way to overboard.Im not expecting him to start well. Im not expecting anything more then finishing 6th season as he will need time to implement his ideas. The players need time to adapt to his methods. When he is going to know his best 11?

I am just hoping to see progress. We finished 7th in rodgers first season and no one was screaming for his head because they could see he was trying to get us playing a certain way. Klopp started very bardly at dortmund. They didnt see progress for a feew months. No doubt his appointment has given us supporters a lift but we need to be realistic. We have some good players. He has a decent squad to work with but if we dont kick on this season then us fans need to stick behind the manager. He needs time and patcience

Sean I totally agree, the problem is that there are so many of the now generation these days (especially on social media) that I can see message boards turning on him by Christmas if he does not start well. For the record I have said I was confident of Rodgers getting 4th this season, as we are only 3 points off after what was recognised as the hardest start in the league and Rodgers ability to have his players hitting peak form from Christmas onwards. Since Sturridge returned it has been 4 points from 6 one of them away in the Derby. I agree and we shouldn’t expect more than 6th this season as we are having to take a step back to try to take a few forward. We are more than likely to be a bit disjointed in the next few games as Klopp will not know the players very well, so with the next three away games being Spurs, Chelsea and City get ready for some Klopp out idiots quite soon.

Sean/Paxman – you must be talking to different people than me, or reading different forums. I’m not seeing or hearing any hysterical, euphoric and ridiculous expectations, only a sensible level of optimism based upon us actually having a Grade A manager (finally), who can potentially attract talent and has a proven record of signing players who become great players. He is more humble, connected with the fans, and is unlikely to be as embarrassing in press conferences.

If we are somewhere around 5/6 then I think that’s ok. A cup run would be nice.

We were going nowhere with Brendan, and I wouldn’t try to make out that support of Brendan continuing makes any of us superior to the ‘now generation’ of supporters – I doubt anyone will be calling for his head anytime soon (except a few nutters, but who cares about loony fringes)

Btw, Sturridge had played in more than just the last two matches, I recall him playing against Norwich too, and maybe another game. So it is not 4 points from 6 since he returned. Don’t forget the Carlisle performance too – Brendan should have gone last summer. We scraped lucky points at the start of the season and the underlying performances were abysmal.

I agree with the sentiment – but let’s not get carried away believing the nonsense that non Liverpool fans are trying to tell us that we are all thinking or doing.

Whoisb,im more talking about the hysteria from the media on friday. It was crazy. I agree most down to heart liverpool fans are realistic but then again you have some people on here starting threads about winning the league.

i dont agree pax, that people will be calling for his head if we havea bad start. His appointment has given everyone a lift but im not expecting to see any real progress up the league this season. We needed a chnage even though i still liked rodgers. He was losing the plot and it was becoming embrassing listening to him.

it is time to be a bit more optimistic but im always cautious. Some good points there whoisb, so maybe its time to brighten up on my part

    Don’t change Sean!

I’m optimistic and pleased as I feel the club has given a signal of real intent, as every european football fan, player, club, official, sponsor, etc all know Klopp.

I’m actually looking forward to the club having a larger than life personality in charge, but he has that great balance of being quite humble as well as charismatic – I can see him having a few incidents along the way and life don’t be dull. I’m also looking forward to being able to listen to press conferences and post match interviews again.

He may struggle to get more than a couple of points from the next few games but this is a long term appointment, and hopefully everyone who matters understands it. I agree that the media need to calm down, but it just shows how few managers are big personalities these days.

I was one of the fans who felt that Brendan should have been given this season and top 4 was his minimum requirement. Now that we have Klopp, I don’t think our target should be adjusted. Klopp has got me really excited and i’d expect the players to be given a lift too. If we can get a few results together (as often happens with a new manager) why should we not allow ourselves to get excited about what’s possible this season? If we get a decent slice of luck with injuries, I can really see us getting a top 4 place. Dortmund v Liverpool Europa final, anyone?

It’s all about how quickly Klopp can invoke his ideas into the side. Of course he shouldn’t be under pressure from day one, but what I think is making people get a bit more giddy (myself included) is that the top 4 clubs, although stronger in terms of personnel, are stuttering and there is therefore an opportunity there, particularly as Klopp will get us up for the fight.

Next season it’s not inconceivable that managere like Guardiola and Ancelotti will be in the Premier League with other clubs. That really will raise the bar, so we want to try and make up ground while the opportunity is there.
