There seem to be so many stories floating about to the effect that Klopp had been “signed” even before BR got the chop. If that’s true, it makes a certain amount of sense to delay the official announcement until later this week, so the outside world doesn’t think it’s a hasty decision.

Garydos, entirely agree the committee needs to go unless Klopp has final say. This is the real deal cream of Europe manager who I suspect will find the yanks policy bizarre and stupid. He will also be able to attract big name players and take on any team put before him with intelligent and coherent tactics including for once the right subs. So pleased that Rodgers has gone, who will take him on now? His career int he top flight is over but he’s now a multi-millionaire so no sympathies whatsoever, should have happened a lot sooner.

New report in from the Liverpool Echo stating they want to tie this all up within the next 24-48 hours – got a feeling there will be an official press conference and welcoming scheduled at Anfield for Friday – can’t wait and some great news 🙂

Red Herring: The tabloids didn’t have to make up things to have a go a Rodgers, he set things up perfectly with comments like “if you spend 100mil you’d expect to challenge for the title (words to that effect)” ” Judge me after 10 games” ” We won’t do a spurs”, the list goes on & on. As for being humble, he always gave himself a pat on the back in pretty much every interview he done, I honestly think he had a massive ego.
The one thing he did do was speak highly of the club at all times so respect for that.
I do feel for him regarding transfers but he can only blame himself for a lot of things on the pitch with his constant playing players out of position, isolating 1 striker up top all the time & basically over complicating things trying to be to clever. (Aussie).

I don’t get the rogers hatefest by a lot of our supporters, but like I felt with Stevie G at the end, it was time for a change. Brendon was just not getting the players to play in a cohesive manner, and the least said about our defending the better. When the attacking play stopped working, it only made the back line panic even more…and our results suffered as a result. I just look forward to being able to GET, what the team is trying to do on the pitch and what the idea behind the tactics and player selections and acquisitions are, as for too long now it has all just seemed very disjointed.

Round pegs, Bought for Round holes and placed in Round holes, i.e. We have a system, players are bought for that system and as SPECIALISTS in their position within the system. And Balance and back up for each position in the squad. The money spent by Brendon should have left us in that very position, but sadly, we have holes all over the place.

i agree kiwi, i always liked rodgers. He was very proud to manage the club but at the end of the day he was losing it and it was time to move on.
